Due to a mutual miscommunication the wrong type of finished was applied to the flooring of the porch. But that is not really the story. After discussing it with Dennis, he agreed without any hesitation to come out and resand the floor and redo with the varnish look we had wanted. The professionalism of his response and work that came after was second to none. So the bottom line to me is that they not only stand behind their work but more importantly seem to understand the and quot;customer firstand quot; approach to running a business.

it went beautifully from start to finish. Dennis, son of Ron, was businesslike and precise. He told me exactly how much the job would cost. I babysit for my twin grandchildren, in another town, and Dennis made me feel at ease whe he said these guys have been with him a long time and I could feel at ease with coming and going and leaving the house whenever I needed. They were wonderful, being careful with all of my belongings, art, furniture etc. This company is out to please the customer, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Due to their projects and our availability, getting an estimate didn't work out for us. I did appreciate their timely response and efforts to try to make something work.

These are by far the best contractors I have dealt with. They were very pleasant to deal with - when Dennis came to give the estimate, he noted everything I needed very thoroughly and his written estimate was complete to the last detail including a very tricky area in the repair work which they went above and beyond in fixing and making it look unbelievably good. Dennis was also very quick to negotiate a competitive price when I thought the estimate was a little higher than anticipated. They came to work on the day they said they would, they worked on the project on a continuous basis ( no skipping days in between) and finished in the time they said it would take. Very professional teams of people came for different aspects of the project and each one reassured me in their competence and good work. Most of all Dennis and Ron were monitoring the project throughout, and gave me immense confidence that this was a well managed company. Their workers are all long term who have been with them for many years, and all of them were very good about keeping the area clean. I had no problem with the sanding dust because their vacuum sucked it right in and although the stain and varnish smell was pretty intense, it only lasted a few days and we continued to live in the house with ought any worry. I am 100% satisfied with this company and HIGHLY recommend them for and flooring installation or refinishing needs.

Th.e team showed up on time. Sanded the floors, gave my wife 3 color stains to chose from. Finished sanding the first day w/ one coat of stain. 2nd daythey stained the floor again and applied a finish. 3rd day the completed the base moulding and applied the last finish coat. This team arrived on time and completed there work efficently. A GOOD EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND.

The scheduling of the work was effortless, especially since I had changed the original work order just before the scheduled start date. RTFG had given us the opportunity to sample 6 different stains on the floor so that we were certain that our selection was correct as it is difficult to judge the color of the stain by the samples of the manufacturer. The floors are 40+ years old so there were some repairs that needed to be done, which were to our satisfaction. The workers were extremely professional and courteous and we fully trusted them as they were left alone in the house while the work was being completed. We were advised that while the polyurathane would dry within a few days, it will not fully 'cure' for at least an additional week so care needed to be taken not damage the finish during this time. The final outcome was wonderful and we are both happy with the color and finish and two weeks later the floors held up well as we moved furniture around with no marring at all.
I had called three contractors for an estimate and RTFG's price was the best I received. The only reason why I did not provide an Excellent across the board was that despite their efforts to rid the house of the residual sawdust from the sanding i did have to brush and wash down the walls and fixtures to get it all clean. I do suppose that there are dustless methods which exhause all of the sawdust out of the house, but this was not discussed. Nevertheless we are very satisfied with the end results and would recommend RTFG to anybody needing similar work done.

Repaired hardwood floor panels, had several companies quote, Ron The Floor Guy LLC was the best price and the most truthful, in my opinion.

Dennis made special arrangements to come out on a Saturday morning to give us a quote (even though he had guests in town)! Through the whole process Dennis (and his crew) were sensitive to the fact that we were on an airmattress with friends until we could get the movers in with all of our belongings!
Following the first day of work the floors were all sanded and the team put down 6 sample colors for us to look at on the floor so that we were more comfortable with our stain decision. Following the second day of work (Saturday) the team realized they were a bit behind their desired schedule and made special arrangements to come out on a Sunday so that we were not held up an extra day. The team was very professional and very helpful through the whole process and we were very comfortable with them being in our home. When the team had completed the project the floors were beautiful and very clean. We get compliments from everyone that comes through.
Once the movers came and went we noticed that there were a few scratches left from the furniture moved in. When we emailed Dennis to ask if there was something we could do about that ourselves he told us what he suggested (that day!) and even offered to stop by and take care of it if we were not comfortable.
We will definitely use Ron the Floor Guy (and his son Dennis!) again.

My wife and I were in the process of renovating the home we had recently purchased in May the wood floors were one of the key jobs we were focused on. Using Angie's List, I had several people come over to take a look and received several quotes in July, one being from Dennis at Ron the Floor Guy. Needless to say, there was a delay in our needing the work done as we were a bit behind schedule. However, Dennis honored the quote he gave us and also agreed to add a bit more to the job.
He and his crew did a bang-up job. The floors look amazing and have withstood the abuse of our 14 month old son.
I can't recommend Ron the Floor Guy enough. Solid prices and great results.

Dennis was great and whole team was very professional. Did everything he said he was going to do. Floors came out looking beautiful. Estimate and final price were the same. I felt most comfortable going with this company but after speaking with them I assumed they would be to expensive. However, to my surprise they were the least expensive of all my estimates and so it was a no brainer to go with them.

I called Dennis (Ron's son) for an estimate on sanding and staining the existing hardwood in our house as well as match the flooring in the kitchen. I decided to go with this company because not only was it almost a dollar cheaper a square foot then my other two estimates, but the estimate that I recieved was thorough and detailed. Dennis and his team started the next week and finished a job in five days (after he quoted my 7 days). The first day, they matched the flooring and sanded the rest of the house. They left some stain samples on the floor so we could look at them in different lights. I called in my color choice the next day and the floors were stained that day. They applied three coats of poly instead of just the the two coats that the other two contractors said they did. I was so incredibly pleased with the work that this company did. They worked hard, were polite and professional, and left my house immacualte. They even refinished the small 2x2 linen closet in the hall! I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!

We found the company to be professional. They handled everything from removal of the furniture in the rooms to placing the pieces back again. They did an excellent job and literally updated the house. Dennis and his crew arrived when they said they would and were finished when they said they would be.
It is now almost 6 months later and we now have to redo our floors once again because of Superstorm Sandy. We called upon Dennis once again. He arrived on time, was compassionate about our damage and promptly gave us a new quote for our repair. I would not use anyone but Ron The Floor Guy. They are true professionals. Not something we counted on, but at least, we have a contractor we can count on.

Dennis was great to work with as a sales person/ project manager. He came to our home twice before work was started to ensure we were comfortable with the estimate.

Albert and his crew did a great job staining the floors to match our dining room. They were very neat during the staining process and did not leave any saw dust. They arrived on time everyday and were very pleasant to work with. They completed the job on time with no issues.

We are very pleased with their services and would highly recommend them.

The communication was great. Dennis kept us apprised of all phases of the job, and it actually got started and finished ahead of schedule. I cannot recommend this company enough!

I called the phone number and left a message with the approximate square footage of rooms that I wanted installed or refinished. I received a call back from Dennis (Ron's son) with an estimate and scheduled an appointment for them to come see the rooms in person. Dennis arrived at scheduled time and reviewed the job with me. I decided to refinish the stairs as well. He clearly explained the installation/refinishing process and how long it would take. I was pleased with his quote and professionalism. I provided a 50% deposit up front. The remaining would be paid upon completion. He delivered the new hardwood a couple of days prior to the job to allow the wood to acclimate to the room. I did not know what color to stain the floors. He gave me a list of stain colors, sanded a section of floor, and was willing to stain up to 5 samples. My wife and I looked at the colors on the floor and chose our favorite. It took a few days to sand/stain and poly the floors. After they were done, the floors looked beautiful. My wife and I are so happy with the results. The new hardwood was weaved into the existing perfectly. Everything looks so new. Also, the process was extremely clean. There was no mess or dust left anywhere. I couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend them without hesitation.

The company scheduled the job promptly. The team that worked on the floor was professional, experienced, and took pride in their work. They were great!

The crew delivered the hardwood flooring two days before the installation. Crew showed up on Wednesday on time to weave the floor into the existing floor and then install the new flooring. Installers came back on Thursday to start sanding and staining the floors. On Friday they screened the floor and applied sealer coat. Saturday they finished up with applying the two final coats of Bona Traffic. Floors came out great. Only minor issue was the communication of the exact time when they would be arriving on a few of the days to start work and after the work was completed the owner never called or stopped back to see if I was satisfied with the work that was done.

Installers arrived on time. The job turned out to take longer than anticipated, Ron had his crew return for the extra day without any extra charge so the job was completed on time as promised.
