Excessive extra overcharge to replace necessary exhaust air flute because of size differences for the new water heater.

They were able to fit me it quickly to replace my hot water heater. Unfortunately when first installed, I had no hot water, however with a quick call they were able to fix it quickly over the phone.

Ernie was very helpful on the phone and although our permits were lost at one point, he personally went to the borough hall to drop off a second copy which helped us to move forward. The water heater had a gas leak within a month of the installation and we were charged a new service call and hourly to replace valves that we are now told were over twenty years old. I think they should have been replaced during installation but were just skipped. In fairness, Ernie did get back to replace the valves within an hour, I just wish I didn't need to call him multiple times regarding these various issues.

They called me within a half hour of request and came for repair in under two hrs from then. Very pleased with timeliness and quality price seemed reasonable

Ernie was polite and professional. The installer was fantastic, got the job done quickly in very difficult work space in very old basement.Price was better than Home Depot or NJR.NJR (NJNG) would have taken a week to do it at a much higher price.

Ernie was a gentleman to talk to, had the water heater replacement done in a few hours from the first call because it was leaking and no hot water in the house. His Guy Did an excellent job. I would recommend American plumbing for your water heater.
