They had really great over the phone customer service. I don't think I had the right people for my specific job. They were nice enough. I probably should have had professional movers vs haulers but that wasn't the fault of the company. I just didn't specify that. Interaction was fine and the work turned out fine.

.When the 3 men were moving my belongings to the truck, I saw that they were moving a 48" round glass out to the truck without putting any packing on it and I stopped them to say this needs to be covered by at least 2 packing blankets.  Of course I had plenty to do on my moving day and I didn't figure I needed to keep an eye on everything they were packing because I hired them as professionals to properly pack my belongings.  They ended up using up 2 times the amount of space in the truck that I was quoted by a reputable mover.  It was not until the moving company came to pick up the truck that they commented that it was not packed very well and didn't whoever pack it know things shifted during transport if not properly packed.  When the truck arrived at my new home 2 days later, it was horrifying when they started unloading the truck and the amount of damage that my belongings had sustained.  About 95% of my furniture/belongings were very damaged - they had actually taken one of my TVs and put it in the truck without any packing blankets around it and it ended up with a hole in it.  Who, with any common sense at all, would put an unwrapped TV into a moving truck.  I thought I was hiring professionals so I wouldn't end up with a nightmare like this.  All of the property my sister and I packed arrived totally intact except for 1 -  $4.00 vase.  So, I contacted the franchise to let them know of all the damages and sent dozens and dozens of pictures of the damages and emails explaining the damage and value of most of the items.  The person I dealt with at the franchise headquarters in New Jersey (they have a number of franchises, including the one in Fort Myers) originally told me she would work on reimbursement for my damages.  I believe that once she saw how much was damaged (in the thousands of dollars), she said, they were not responsible for the damages because I knew the truck was being improperly loaded and I had time to have them remedy that.  Talk about degrading and insulting treatment.  They are not standing behind their guarantee and I felt I was not provided with the proper team to ensure that I would not encounter any problems.  How is it my problem that they did not know what they were doing?  I am not a moving/packing expert, as they claim to be, and I feel I have every right to be reimbursed not only for my damages but also for the time and stress and aggravation endured over 5 weeks of trying to get this problem resolved.  Doesn't anyone stand behind their advertising and product anymore?  They've just blown me off because, I suppose they figure I will get frustrated and give up.  But I am not going to be out thousands of dollars because of their disreputable actions.  I have even contacted the corporate office as I figured the 2 founders might like to know how their franchisees are treating their customers.  So far I have received no response from them either.

i received a call that morning to let me know about what time the removal truck would be arriving.  The removal truck arrived within the time frame they gave me when they called.  Within 45 mins, 2 guys had removed all of the junk I had gathered for them from my mother's apartment.   Some of the junk were 2 couches, tables, desk and other "stuff".   Once the removal truck was packed and gone, within a hour the moving truck showed up with 3 guys.   My mother's apartment was loaded into the truck and unloaded into a storage unit within 2 hours.   I was expecting to spend the entire day with this situation but by 1230pm I was done.   The guys that worked that day, they busted their butts and were super professional.  They made the entire day go much easier then what I was expecting.   The guys being handsome didn't hurt either, LOL !!!
I would highly recommend this company for either Junk removal or Moving.

When I tried to contact them for another clean out, I had to leave messages which were not responded to for over a day and a half.  By that time, I had found another hauler.

The two guys sent were very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. | |I had been quoted their two hour minimum and the job was done in two hours.  No surprise fees or attempts to yodel, they didn't charge extra for blankets or the tape and stretch wrap used. Over all I am very pleased with the service from beginning to end and will definitely consider using them again, I'll also recommend them in the future. |

They company was very good and punctual.  They called to let me know when they were close by.  Like the name of the company, they were college students.  They were fast and precise and I would use them again.

I ended up not using them, because everything that I was going to haul away I had people I knew who happily took them. I did though enjoy that College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving were nice and helpful. I was very impressed with this company approaching their work as being very cautious to find a home for the belongins that the I, as the individulal, was trying to get rid of. They have a very "eco friendly green" approach.

Not good at all.  The crew pretended the truck was almost full to the top, when it was only about half full.
All of the sudden they said, in an upstairs bedroom, that if they took a few more boxes or small items, the truck would be full.  This seemed incredible since 5 minutes earlier it was about half full!
We went to the truck and saw they had closed one back door of the truck, and piled things up high in front of the other.  As my wife paid them, I went to the 2nd floor window and learned the truth!  These skunks, er um hunks, had dummied up the junk to block the rear door of the truck, but the TRUCK WAS HALF EMPTY, when viewed from upstairs.
When I complained to the company they covered up with some double talk that the load was based on weight (Lie #1), that they should have charged me $120 for labor to take things apart (Lie #2), they cried that they got stuck with those heavy old iron radiators and should have charged me an "overweight charge" boo hoo, (Lie #3), and that their hunks had explained everything up front--that everything was based on weight (Lie #4).
Don't believe me or the skunks; see the photo for yourself.  I paid for a "full truck load" at their urging (weight had NOTHING to do with our contract).  Do you see a full truck??????  Beware of this trick!!!  Don't get skunked by College Hunks!!!!!!

We had a mix of old furniture and junk in the garage that I've been wanting to clean out for, well, years.  I looked around and CHHJ had some good reviews, would try to donate items they could, and employed college students to do the work.  I called to get an estimate and was told the cost would depend on how much of the truck was filled.  I had a few large items including an entertainment center, sofa, standing bookshelf and microwave hutch along with an end table, boxes of electronics, bags of junk, etc.  I found it a little difficult to estimate what I had because some of it was buried under/behind the large items.  Based on what I thought I knew when I called for the quote, I was expecting the cost to come it at under $400 based on CHHJ's quoting methodology.
Two very nice young men showed up in the truck right on time and immediately went to work.  They were very good about making sure they took only what I wanted taken and packed the truck as tightly as they could to keep the cost down as much as possible.  However; after it was all said and done, the truck was filled to about $600 worth.  That wasn't CHHJ's fault and I didn't really mind the extra cost but, if I had to do it all over again, I'd go to greater lengths to fully itemize the list of items including the size of each item, box, etc. before calling for an estimate.  That's really the only way to get an accurate quote and something to which you can hold the hauler (not just CHHJ - any hauler).
The guys were great...prompt, respectful, helpful, and customer service oriented.  I'd use their services again, especially if I had items that might be able to be donated.

I booked the service about a week in advance online and it was fast and easy. I didn't receive any confirmation or contact prior to the date of service, but I got a call about an hour before they were scheduled to arrive letting me know what time they would arrive. I then received a follow up call when they were actually on their way. Two young men showed up and they were very friendly and courteous. I had two areas that needed junk removal...the basement and under my deck out in the back. They told me they would take care of whatever I needed. After looking at the areas, they quoted me a price. They charge based on the amount that fills the truck. I thought I would have a full load, but they assured me it was only a half.
They worked quickly and (surprisingly) without gloves. We had a lot of dirty and messy stuff and it had rained the night before, but they didn't complain and got the job done in under 2 hours. When they were done, they asked me to check to make sure they had done the job to my satisfaction. I had them remove some rubble they missed under the deck, but then again, I am really a perfectionist. They ended up dragging some dirt into my house while taking things out of the basement, but it wasn't a big deal. Again, just me being a perfectionist.
Use these guys. It's about the same price as renting a dumpster, but you don't have to do a THING.

Very poor communication throughout the move.  Professionalism was completely lacking.  Here are the highlights of my move:- Wouldn't quote me the job on time and left me no other choice but to use them- During a two-day move, attempted to increase the price by $600 once they had my possessions in their hands (effectively hijacking my goods since it was clear that I couldn't change at that point)- Couldn't/Didn't reconstruct one of the beds and said that they'd send the replacement parts that they lost.  The parts of still missing with no replacements received- One bed that was reconstructured broke the vey next day, damaging the wood floor that had just been refinished- Our dining room table was damaged.  The vendor they have sent to fix/refinish the table is not professionally qualified to do the work based on the feedback that I received when I checked the person's references- A lamp shade was damaged and can't be replaced.  I am still trying to get them to replace it- The floor was scratched when a piece of furniture was moved- A dresser leg was bent when it was placed in my new home.  The leader of the move said it was fine but a furniture repair person who just looked at the piece commented that the leg is loose
Overall - one of the most problematic DIS-SERVICE providers I've encountered in my 45 years of life.  I teach customer service at The Wharton School to MBAs and Executive MBAs and this company has shot to the top of my list on what customer service failure is all about.  It couldn't have been scripted any worse!

I was impressed. They hauled away a large Ikea wardrobe and a sofabed that had been extremely difficult to move in years ago. But they had no trouble with any of it. They were prompt, courteous, and careful, and I thought the price was fair for the amount of work that was involved. A few days later I needed some help with a small moving job, and Joe, one of the managers, took care of it for me with the same professionalism as before.  I also like that these guys do charitable work in the community.
