The groomer have owned a Springer. He is knowledgeable and does a great job. He knows how to cut and the dog looks fine. They're excellent. They do a really good job.

Very disorganized. I dropped off the dogs at noon when I was told to come by. There was a woman waiting for her dog, she said she had been waiting for more than a half hour after she was told to come, and it would only take another 10 minutes. When I dropped off the dogs, I told them I needed a shorter trim, especially their legs as it's been muddy and wet with the melting snow. I asked they also trim the belly and bum closer. I was told they would be done about 4;30 or 5:00, but got a call to pick them up at 4:30. When I got there, one dog was done the other still on the table. It took another 20 minutes before they were complete. The groomer said it took longer than she thought it would because there were and quot;knotsand quot; which took her a while to comb out. Understandable, but why tell me to come at 4:30. They looked cute, but two weeks later the dogs looked raggedy and need to be groomed again.
The business was sold in October (2013), and my favorite groomer was let go. I felt I would give them a chance, and have brought the dogs there twice. They are not the same quality that I have been getting there for the past 6 years. I feel that they are disorganized and do not do a thorough job. Neither dog had the hair in their ears removed, which if ignored can cause ear infections. I spoke with an acquaintance who has also used Studio Groomers for years and he complained about the disorganization--they changed their hours and didn't let him know so when he got there to drop off the dogs, there was no one there. He too is looking for a new groomer.

I have taken all my animals there for years. You drop them off between 8 and 9 a.m., and they call you when they are done. You do not wait for the dogs. They shave the cat, in an adorable cut, as soon as I bring her in, and I do wait for her. It would be too stressful for her to wait with all those dogs around. The work is performed in Montclair at their place of business.

I always had good experiences with taking my dog to Studio Grooming. You drop your dog off early in the morning, by 9am and they call you when the dog is finished. Make sure you call ahead because they get very booked up.
