TOTAL ENERGY SERVICE

Okay, so my friend backed into one of our condensers and the coolent line was crimped. I called Total Energy Service after checking Angies List for a local AC repair company. I called and left a message with one of the office staff who said the service manager would call me back shortly. Fast forward to the next day, still no call so I called again (messages get misplaced, people get busy) and this time they called me back within the hour. I explained the problem and mentioned while they were here the units have not been serviced in a few years so why not do what needs to be done when they come out. The appointment was for today between 9 and 11. Javier called at 9:45 saying he would arrive within half an hour, which he did. He was polite, professional and went right to work. He checked the pressure in the crimped line explaining if the pressure was good I wouldn't need the $700 to $900 repair. The presure was good (YEA!!) He then cleaned out all of the leaves that had collected behind the units then cleaned and checked them. He then checked the temp of the cold air coming out of the registers, checked the furnace and suggested we us different filters (the ones we were using were too thick and blocking air flow) and wrote out a detailed invoice. Overall I am very happy with everything that was done and would absolutly call them again.

Very good experience. Prompt reply to initial phone call, quick and thorough estmate with good detail on options. Workers were on-time, clean and efficient. Followup was by Andy personnaly. I'd whole-heartedly recommend Total Energy Service.

Boss arrived punctually on time, made a clear and understandable size up of his products, explained how work was to be done, evaluated costs, gave booklets on products to be installed, gave a date agreeable to me, showed up during employee installation to verify it was done properly, on completion was shown how to disengage units for cleaning or parts replacements. My AC finally broke down during a heat wave in Aug. Andy answered my phone call right away, came over right away, accessed the problem, gave me the option of fixing it or having a new unit installed. I opted to have it fixed. Within a few days I had AC again. I was impressed by the fact that I could communicate by email and have my questions and concerns addressed quickly. I never felt they weren't interested in the job because I did not opt for the new unit. The team at Total Energy came when they said they would, got the job done and followed up. I would call them again for any problems that I have with my Heating or AC and when I am ready for the new unit I will definitely give them a call.

Andy impressed me from the beginning during the initial estimate. He spent 45 minutes to perform a full survey of the house including vent locations etc. The result of this was that he specified a smaller furnace than the original one (I have read that many homebuilders install a standard unit, regardless of the house size). He was very knowledgeable, and was happy to answer any questions. The estimate was not the lowest (not the highest either) but I decided to use him because of his general approach, and was happy that I did. The work was done on time, everything was clean and professional, and the installation was very well done. Andy then took time to explain the operation of the new thermostat and air filter. I would thoroughly recommend Andy and Total Energy Service.

Communications was top notch. Andy responded quickly to my request, schedule an appointment quickly, made suggestions about various issues in the townhouse and various types of replacement equipment we might use. He listened to our issues with the current system, and addressed each one with confidence, in language we could understand. He outlined the process, who needed to do what, and when they would be able to complete the job. Everything was done to specification, on schedule, with no surprises. Well, maybe the biggest surprise was that the price that TES quoted was the best of several other quotes I had received and they also inspired the most confidence and peace of mind. So, I guess that's a good surprise. ;-)

My air conditioning was completely out. Unfortunately, they got back to me too late. I wish I would have seen their estimate before though, because it was very direct and to the point. He also put in a 10 year parts and labor warranty. One down side to going with this company would have been that I would have had to have gotten permits from the city myself. That may have been worth it, but I can't say, I don't know how difficult those are to get. He was very professional.
