Excellent and on time!

Odes did an excellent job fixing my walk-in closet. The wooden floor was done the way I wanted. Listen to suggestions. Cleaned up the clutter. I was satisfied with the his worked. Very polite and respectful. I would like to hire him again.

Fantastic! Very professional, courteous, and highly skilled job started on time and finished early painters showed up early every day, put in a full-day’s work and cleaned up when they were done. And the house looked beautiful when they were done! I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Good service, very friendly

Butcher work and a bunch of excuses. Odes said I didn't give his guys room to work. That is a lie. Then he points to fake reviews and pictures and says I have a mental disorder. I posted pictures on Google Reviews and filed a complaint with the BBB and Small Claims Court. Also, don't trust Angie's List. They get paid to promote these guys. It's all a scam.

Straight Line Painters and Service, LLC. did an excellent job and exceeded all expectations! I was contacted by Odes right away, received a comprehensive estimate, repairs started on time, I'm extremely satisfied with their work product and will hire again as soon as I need a Painter again.

Great and fast

Excellent job and great workers. Fixed any problems I had and worked with me to get the desires results.

They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 a.m. on Monday but did not arrive until 9:45 a.m. and left at about 4:30 p.m. When I asked if this is the time I should expect them to arrive I was informed that it would be he same time for them working and leaving. I also had been told that I could expect at least 3-4 men working on doing the drywall, spackling and painting . I had not specified the number of men who would be working on this job, that is what I was told. Only two men for working and one unskilled the other semi-skilled. I had been told that they, the workers, would move all the furniture and remove all of the items that were on the ceiling and walls and everything would be covered in heavy plastic and the exposed area leading to the kitchen and family rooms would be covered so as not to get any dirt or residue into those areas. No plastic was put onto our equipment or furniture, no plastic put up to cover leading into the areas where our kitchen and family room is either. The residue and dirt on the floor was cleaned up by the one worker but not the other. I had asked about this before the job was begun and then the day of the job asked about this everything being covered in plastic and the entrance to the rooms being covered, they were not. They arrived and the lighting, ceiling fan should have been removed first and then a pull up bar on the wall, but they were left in place. When I asked about they doing the ceiling first, spackling the ceiling, I was informed that that would almost be the last job done. They did not cover my furniture with any plastic so as not to get any dust or anything else on our or cover the areas where it would get into the kitchen or family room. One time before beginning the work and then the day he arrived to drop the workers off at my house I emphasized to him about covering all of our furniture and the areas that would be exposed to any dust and dirt O was assured it would be done; it was not accomplished. Workers did not have any drywall tools to use for the drywall or to cut the drywall, the one worker used a tool for when you cut out the outlets in the drywall. He, Odes, did not realize until the work had begun on the drywall in the living room that it was a different size from what he had brought with him; when he came to our house for an estimate he should have checked and known it was the incorrect drywall not after beginning the job. One worker had a good idea of what he was doing for drywall but the other one appeared to have no knowledge of what he was doing and appeared to be learning on the job at our expense. They may be possibly good for doing painting but as far as any other jobs I found them lacking in doing good work.

I had them paint the entire exterior of house and as before they did a great job at a great price. I would use them over and over again

They said they would replace the drywall. He did not. He got shackle on other walls and the paint was only done on part of the wall. The wall is footed and the paint is not covering the drywall. They left speckle all over the room. They did not clean up. They wedevwry rude and unprofessional. Do not use them.

Exterior paint & repair work

I give my highest recommendation for anyone looking to refresh or reimagine their exterior look. The team is talented, organized, fair, willing to listen, easy to deal with, professional, honest, and willing to make amends when they don’t live up to their high standards. Only concern was not completing project on time otherwise all job was done properly.

Everything in this review should be prefaced with the fact that I did not allow these painters to finish the job -- I sort of "fired" them most of the way through.  They claim they would have fixed everything I'll talk about, but I just wanted them out of my house. First off, these guys were dirty.  While doing drywall, they left piles of dust and debris everywhere each day.  When I work on my own home, I clean up after myself everyday.  They also got paint everywhere, and on everything.  Ceiling fan, switch plates, door knobs, curtain rods, the carpet... everywhere.  We were able to get some off, but some stuff (like the textured curtain rods) is impossible to clean and will need to be replaced.  They used three of my sinks to clean paint brushes (as evidenced by paint drops in the bathrooms and kitchen, and on the floors between rooms they were painting and the rooms with sinks).  Maybe it's naive of me to  expect this, but clean your tools elsewhere.  Also they used my tools.  They didn't have a vacuum, so they just used mine.  The first time they didn't ask, the second they did -- after they started using it.  Now my shop vac is full of drywall dust. They also used one of my ladders and my mop. Again, maybe it's naive, but -- bring and used your own tools. I wasn't happy with any of their work. The drywall job they did left obvious places where you can see evidence of the patch through the paint.  Some of the patches aren't level, so you can see an obvious shadow. A lot of the places I pointed out during the estimate they completely missed the first time around.  You have to watch them constantly to get what you want. I was a painter when I was younger, and these guys just aren't great at painting.  After you patch drywall, you have to prime the patch, or you'll get  patchy spots (called "flashing") where the patch absorbs the paint.  Also you can use a longer nap roller to combat this.  These guys told me the only way to cure it was to change the sheen from eggshell to flat.  That's just straight up wrong.  Their cut lines aren't straight, with wall paint on the ceiling and on the trim, and after three coats in one room, I could still see the previous color through their work. When I paint a room, I take the switch plates, door knobs and and curtain rods down... it's just the fastest, easiest, and cleanest way to do it. They took nothing down, and got paint on everything. They were also over an hour late ("late" meaning, after they said they would arrive) each day until I talked to them about it.  After that they were still always late, but at least they texted me first. I was working from home, and while they were there, my whole schedule basically revolved around them, and waiting for them to arrive. After 5 days in my house, they weren't done drywall and paint in two rooms and a large closet.  But, after seeing the work that had been done, and all the paint on everything, I got fed up and asked them not to come back. I had paid half up front, and I wound up paying another quarter of the total amount. After showing all my complaints, they still wanted most of the cost of the job to just leave, but I paid what decided, and they didn't push back too much. Overall, for me, Straight Lines Painting is only affordable if you don't count all the work I have to do to both fix the things I don't like, and replace stuff that was ruined. Think twice before you hire them.
