Malcolm was great!  Very professional, responsive.  He does a lot of work in the Jersey Shore thus knew exactly what the Town requirements were.  He helped me submit plans ahead of a construction moratorium and the job was completed before the shutdown.  He even met me on a Saturday morning to hand deliver the plans as I don't live near the Jersey Shore.

He is very easy to talk and understanding, professional, ready to answer all questions.

Mr.Burton was the ultimate professional from my first phone contact with him through our plan design and review through his planning board appearances and the ultimate completion of our project. There wasnt a detail missed or glitch solved. It is rare to find people as competent and easy to work with as Malcolm. I deal with design professionals and contractors in five states in my line of work and wish they all were as good !
I wouldnt hesitate for a moment in recommending his services.

Excellent - The drawings were necessary to obtain permits for the repairs of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. He estimated that the work would take three weeks. We requested that he try to finish as soon as possible.as we needed to vacate the rented house by 10/15/2014. He finished in a week. He had to submit a clarification to the Toms Rive zoning department which was completed in less than an hour. There is a very good possibility that we may have our permits by the end of this week. What else can I say but he is outstanding.

I found Malcolm by searching the internet after Hurricane Sandy. I didn't have any references on Malcolm prior to working with him and was really pleased that I found a top notch architect (lucky as well!!). Malcolm was a pleasure to work with. He is incredibly thorough and worked with us through each step of the design process. He was a wealth of knowledge and information and helped to guide us to make the best decisions understanding the goals, budget and timelines of our project. Needless to say, the days and months after Sandy were a bit chaotic in trying to figure out what was and was not allowable with respect to reconstruction was difficult. Malcolm was able to provide us with a sense of clarity and comfort as we made the decisions required to get our project off the ground.
I would highly recommend Malcolm and trust him to bring the same level of professionalism and expertise to others that he brought to us.

Contacted Mr. Burton to assist with plans on updating outside of home (siding, windows, doors, deck) in Brigantine New Jersey. Mr. Burton promptly returned email and phone call and appointment was set for him to view the property.
Day before appointment, Mr. Burton confirmed appointment and on day of appointment, called to re-confirm. Once he arrived, we discussed our ideas and he offered suggestions. We walked around the property so he could get a better idea of what we wanted to accomplish and discussed various ideas and what may or may not work. He finished our appointment by reviewing what we had discussed to confirm we were all on the same page.
He is going to begin preparing the drawings at this point. I will continue this review once we get to a finished product
