The Furry Godmother

I had used The Furry Godmother previously to take care of my cat but it was for only a short time. Just two days. This time I was going on vacation for a week. I was nervous because my cat is very social and does not like to be left alone. I was worried that she would not eat because last time Lauren had left me a progress report and told me that she never saw my cat.
This time was different. Abbey came out everyday to greet Lauren at the door. Lauren stayed to play with her, and more important, she took the time to brush Abbey ever day! My cat loves that, she is a domestic long hair and really needs it.
Like last time, she sent me an e-mail progress report on how everything went, plus called to make sure I was home to confirm if she would still need to take care of my cat that day. Great customer service!
Lauren is an obvious professional and knows what she is doing. Of course, she loves animals but she made me feel that it is not just a business with her. That is the kind of person I want when I leave my pet with someone other then me.

This past Easter weekend I went to Boston with my family. I was leaving on Saturday, returning on Tuesday afternoon.
I had contacted Lauren in the past to care for my cat and liked her immediately. My trip fell through so I did not need her services.
This time I asked Lauren if she could come to my house and feed Abbey, clean her litter box and as an extra favor for me take my mail in.
When I returned on Tuesday, Abbey looked just fine. There was a detailed note from Lauren letting me know how everything
went with Abbey (she would not let Lauren pet her even though she met her before). She told me that Abbey did not eat her wet food so she left her extra dry food to hold her over.
I have total confidence in Lauren. When we met in January she spent at least an hour with me going over all of the details of what I needed done. She spent a lot of time with my cat to get to know her also.
I would use The Furry Godmother again.

Lauren and Pete are fantastic! I have two dogs that
are litter mates. Lauren and Pete have
been walking them since they have been 8 weeks old. I am very comfortable with them having access
to my home and I am very pleased about the relationship they have with my
dogs. There are occasions when I am able
to be home when Lauren comes to play and they are more enthusiastic to see her
then they are to see me after work! I
love it!
Lauren is really well natured with animals and has probably
had a good chuckle or two with my puppyish pooches.
Also, Lauren and Pete
are great about scheduling and have been very understanding when my schedule
gets on a roller coaster ride.
I highly recommend the Furry Godmother to anyone needing
some assistance with their dogs.

Absolutely wonderful.
When I first met Lauren, I just moved here from California. I didn't know anyone. She came to our home to meet our two dogs and she was wonderful. She is very professional and is bonded and insured. Now mind you, I have no kids, so these two dogs are my kids, so with that being said, I don't trust them to just anyone.
What was also a nice touch is she brought over a lovely notebook for us to keep. With this notebook, for every visit she did, she wrote down the date, and notes about what the dogs did. Also if she had any questions about their behavior or to just share a funny story.
We have been using her and her husband on a very consistent basis for over two years now. Been on several week long vacations, and many, many day trips where they come in to walk the dogs. What is nice about them is that when we are gone on vacation, I don't have to worry because they are there to take care of them.
