1. Steve was the handyman assigned to my job. He was ontime, polite and said what he was going to do, for the price quoted.
2. He cut out a small part of the wall in back of my dryer where the vent enters. He connected new vent hose in in side wall. He covered the wall with 1/4 inch sheet square, so access can be made at another time, he used screws. He replaced the old dryer vent hose with a new one.

Handyman Connection - Bergen County was great!
We have a rental property and our tenant let me know the vanity in the bathroom had fallen off the wall. I sent a message to Handyman Connection - Bergen County and they got back to me very quickly. At the time I was out of the country with no access to a phone and they were great about responding to emails/messages. Upon my return I checked the work and it looked great! 
Fast response, professional work. I will use again!

Drywall completed on time and exactly as requested.  Extremely happy with all aspects of Handyman Connection of Bergen.  Would recommend to anyone.

He did a good and quick job but the mirror was ultimately hung a little crooked so we had to fix it ourselves.  In terms of value, I might cut out the middleman and make an effort to find a handyman directly next time.

Very likable guy but did not bring his own drop cloth when sanding and spackling to my wife's disappointment. He also asked to borrow out vaccum because his was in his car and he wanted to save steps. Not what I expected.

Professional service and a great price

Replaced sheet rock, insulation and molding.   Taped, Spackle, primed and painted all repaired surfaces.  Bill Little, the service provider was extremely careful and professional in all the work.  He was extremely focused on detail and the result was an excellent job with no mess whatsoever.

Rodger was great. Very professional and friendly and finished the job in a timely manner.

The craftsman was prompt and courteous.  He did a great job replacing the wood on our deck. He also power washed and sealed it. Now our deck looks very clean!

I started to remove wallpaper in the entrance way. The wall behind was plaster and was basically being held up by the wallpaper (there had once been a radiator there that had leaked and caused the damage.). After removing the paper the wall was crumbling. I called Handyman Connection and they put me in touch with Anthony Amato who was able to come over a few days later. He cleared away any of the wall that was damaged and replaced it with a piece of drywall. He had to return two more times for re-spackling and sanding. He was prompt, professional and cleaned up any dust each time.

This service was prompt and professional. I appreciated the way my calls and inquiries were handled. The estimate was fiar (we got 3 estimates from 3 different companies. We decided to go with a less expensive option.
I would definitely work with this company in the future.

The worker was a nice enough guy. During the day I would ask to see his progress and he said he didn't like to show people till he was done for the day. I waited and when I went in he had installed the tiles in the wrong direction but it was too late and I went with it. He did not use tile spacers but used ripped cardboard pieces. The final product, the tiles are not totally even. There was an inch difference in the height of the tiles around the wall. There were spots where grout was missing in the shower tiles. The wooden trim around the door frame and window frame did not meet up and large gaps were left. The cutout on the sheetrock around the electrical opening and light switch were jagged, finished poorly and too large.  The cutout of tile around the pipes under the sink were horrible.



I did not call to complain because I did not want the same person to be sent out to me. I would just never use them again.



My Response to the Provider Response  5/11/15

When I originally called the Handyman Connection, I was told they were sending me the best tiler they had. That is the first thing that mad eme think this is the best they have. I did not move into my new home with my infant twins until a month after the work was done. I then went back to work and life took over. I should have called to complain but I didn't want to deal with excuses etc. Again, this was the best tiler that was sent to me.  I did sign the paper of the work but that was my mistake in not going into the bathroom with a fine tooth comb prior to it.  I should have gone in w a measuring tape and measuring the height of the tile and seeing that tiles were uneven, etc prior to signing the paper. This is another reason that i didn't call to complain. In addition,  I had already waited long enough to move into the home and did not want to lose my main bathroom for more time and I had no time to take off of work. It left such a bad taste in my mouth I didn't want further bad work.



My direct response to Stephen White, the owner, who called me ridiculous for leaving this review so late, I reviewed this at this time because Angies List kept asking for my review. If you look at the other reviews that I have left, that were positive, they also were long after the work was done. I did not specifically pick you out. 

I just called you and left you a message to speak to you. Maybe something to consider is to have someone from your office speak to the homeowners after work is done to make sure that they are satisfied.

Expectations were set appropriately and the work was completed in a professional manner.

He did a lot of little odds and ends jobs, and they all turned out well.
