BROWN'S HEATING, COOLING, PLUMBING & HOME SERVICES

The installers arrived on time and the work was performed as promise.  All installation was done very professionally and the area was cleaner than before the installation. The Lennox Units are working great.  
Also installed a new Lennox iComfort thermostat.  The thermostat works as expected and is easy to use.  I received a couple of quotes from other installers, Browns price was slighter higher but they offered the 90% efficient unit, well worth the difference!

The owner provided the estimate and gave advice regarding the size of the unit and other details.  He was professional and promptly provided the estimate after his visit at our home.  The estimate was in line with other estimates we received from other vendors.  We were scheduled for 2 days that were convenient for us.  The three gentlemen who did the work were polite, knowledgeable and arrived promptly when scheduled each day.  They spread tarps throughout the house in order to keep the carpeting clean as they walked to and from their trucks.  They answered questions as they arose, worked diligently and were a pleasure to have here.  The paperwork was completed by the company, such as the permits, and the rebates.  I would recommend this company without reservation.

They checked everything out and found a relay on the cool side of the thermostat was not working correctly.

Excellent....provider showed up early the next morning.  Reported only minor adjustments needed to fix the temperature level of the water, and did not charge extra for those.  Very professional, friendly attitude although this was my first call, having found them through Angie's List.  Would definitely call them first when time comes to replace this old water heater.

They were phenomenal. We placed two units and they actually did do some work on the ductwork, not because of anything but to add in lines and open them up to put another vent in my son’s room. So they did a lot of work. Then they changed both the air handlers and the compressors outside. I used them because they are just down the road, and it was somebody that I as familiar with and I see that their trucks are in my neighborhood. So I said that was the guy I wanted to call, and then I did see that they are on Angie’s List with a pretty good reputation and all my neighbors use them like my front neighbors. It was just that they came in to fix a heating problem and I told their technician who was fixing it that I was going to use them most likely and that I needed to get an estimate on air conditioning. They were a little bit more pricier but that was because they were doing more work and they saw what was going on. I have about six different people come in for both heating and cooling from Brown’s, and every single one was so well mannered and so clean, just like really a nice person. I had just really good rapport with every employee that they sent over, as well as the owner and the office people that I have talked to. They are a very small company. They are like a mom and pop company type thing, and they just really pay a lot of detail and a lot of attention to their actual customers. They will call and they give reminders and they will change the schedule, and they will do whatever I want or my schedule, so they definitely were very accommodating. I know that I will only use them now. Even though they are more expensive, I knew which air conditioning units were the quality ones, and they gave me the top-of-the-line. They were here when they said they would be here, and if they were five minutes late, they were calling me.

Bob from Browns performed some weekend emergency work on our drain pipe from the kitchen. He showed up when promised, found the problem, which was a 1930's era pipe that was corroded and clogged beyond repair, and was able to fix it (including replacing pipes) immediately. He was polite, explained and showed the problem, cleaned up after himself, and everything worked perfectly.

They were available, did a good job, and we were happy. They were attentive, they showed up on time, and they got all the work done.

The whole job was completely done from start to finish in one day ! Two 2
man crew came at 8 AM with all the new parts and by 5 PM all work was completed,
all the old equipment removed, both systems in full working condition and the
house and the outside area where the two new A/C units took the place of the old
ones also very clean. All four technicians were courteous, professional and
worked very clean and with respect to the area and belongings in the house. When
they left the house was spotless !!!

The whole experience from the first house visit when Ray Dietrich (
Co-Owner ) came to evaluate and gave me an honest straight forward estimate, to
the completion of the job was done without any "sells" pressure or any
intentions of up-selling the job. The price given was exactly the final price
and all the items mention in the contract were installed and delivered as
promised. 
I had two other companies come to the house for estimates and both tried to
" up-sell " and build the estimate... Ray Dietrich on the other hand was not and
his recommendations were just what I needed.
 
In closing I would strongly recommend Brown's services and I will
definitely use them in the future not only to service the two new systems
installed but for all my plumbing needs and more. 

I could not be happier.  Brown's was one of (5) well-known contractors in the area with whom I  spoke, and received a quote from.   Their price was in-line with the others.  However, they were the most professional and FLEXIBLE contractor that I spoke with.  Their flexibility saved me over $5,000.00 and probably 2 months of additional work and red tape.  Some of the other contractors seemed more interested in maximizing their profit(s), rather than addressing my specific needs and concerns.  I am still shocked that this entire job was completed in only 7-10 days.  
Based upon my experience,  Brown's will do the job right!

They came on time to give us an estimate.  Did the install according to plans.  There was one problem with water condensation from using the air conditioner but they came the next day and fixed it even though it was a Sunday morning.
We got a Lennox system which came with a $1500 rebate.  So except for the one problem, everything went well and is operating nicely now.

Called Browns. The service man responded quickly. He looked at the air conditioner system outside and said it could not be repaired.I explained that the house would be sold in the near future and I would take my chances with any repair that could be made. Again he said nothing could be done but a complete replacement. The home was unexpectedly sold in a matter of a few days. I offered to replace the system or rebate the buyer the quoted replacement cost of $3000. New owner said he would replace system. Recently saw the new owner, he said he had a friend fix the unit for a small fee and it has been working fine, no further problems. Called Browns and told them what had happened. They said they had sen t the best tech out on the job. He was very rushed, did not want to explain anything and said if we did not decide to replace the system that day we could not put our initial call fee of approximately $100 towards a future repair. Asked if we could have one day to get a second opinion, he simply got in his truck and left.

He was here an hour & made sure that all was in working order before he left. A small stain got on rug which he wanted to clean but I took care of it. The bill was taken care of professionally & explained each cost & also what payment was accepted. We were pleased & would call them again for service.

The owner arrived promptly and very professional. his ad said they
service all makes and models. Before making the appointment, I provided
the exact model number. On his arrival, he looked at the location of the
unit ( inside) said there appeared to be nothing wrong, but was more
familiar with newer models for this manufacturer. Newer units are
located outside the house and, he could install a new unit for me, and I
would gain more closet space. When I declined, he charged me only 1/2
the fee (40) he receives for a service call (80).

It was a VERY pleasant experience overall. From start to finish. They were on time, professional and did the work promptly.

They are very personable and gave us a reasonable quote for us.  They take care of our HVAC so it is good to have them take care of our plumbing also.  We have been using them for the past 10 years and have never had any problem with them. 

They had done work for us before, so we used them again.  I would recommend them.

They were wonderful and very helpful.  They cleaned up everything and did an excellent job.  I will use them again in the future.

We have been using them for over twenty years. They are very responsive and are always very proactive. We have never had any real problem. We would recommend them to others. We have an annual contract with them and we spend $400 a year. They are as competitive as everybody else. We would continue to use them in the future.

It was horrendous. We had to fire them. They screwed up everything. I literally had to spend another $60,000 or $70,000 to fix what they did. I had a mechanical engineer and lawyers involved. This was the first time I used them. The system didn't work. There were no two rooms that had the same temperature. They tried to fix it for months, but they failed. I got somebody else to fix it. It took the other company about six months. This company was incapable of following the directions my mechanical engineer provided. I had spent $5,000 to $10,000 on my own private mechanical engineer. Quite honestly, they dragged their feet. It went on for at least a year. My attorney met with them at least a half dozen times. I met with them many, many times. They were either incapable or unwilling to correct it, so I had to fire them. The price itself was decent. They were at least willing to talk to us.
