Our house had basement water leakage caused by storms for decades before I decided enough was enough and began to research and search for a solution which was the installation of perimeter French drains. I was also apprehensive and cautious to identify the right company who was going to dig up the basement floor in a nearly 100-year-old house. Initially I was planning to interview three contractors and after the third visit I was perplexed by the differences in their proposals. Each recommended a French drain trench along the perimeter of all four walls, but there were differences such as the placement of the exterior discharge pipe, the location of the trench relative to the furnace, type of piping, and duration of work. Regarding piping, one uses PVC; another the flexible perforated, corrugated plastic pipe; and another a grate system with a rectangular plastic piping. All estimates were within a similar cost range. These differences led me to contact a fourth; that was Jersey Dry. Darek Snella provided a comprehensive explanation detailing the scope of work and an estimate for the French drain and two sump pumps. He suggested insulating and encapsulating a crawl space as a separate project. Frankly, that was a sound idea and something I hadn’t thought about yet made perfect sense. At no time was there any sales pressure. The estimate was in line with the others. After I contacted quite a few of the provided references and heard lots of reassuring comments about Jersey Dry and Darek and Jerry, I called Darek and he returned to take exact measurements and to video the specifics of the excavation work. A modest down payment was given and a start date chosen. On the scheduled day, Jerry and the crew promptly arrived. He is a master at his craft as are the team members. Jerry kept me informed on the progress of the work at the start and end of each day. To my surprise, there was never a mess or any dust infiltrating from the basement to upstairs. At the end of each work day, the area was tidied. The noise level was well below than anticipated. Neatness, communicative, friendly and concern – attributes that made the project go well. The crawl space was insulated, leveled and encapsulated, providing unexpected storage. A note about the discharge pipe. Our town doesn’t permit cutting the curb to make an opening for the discharge pipe. One of the initial three contractors planned to extend the pipe to the street by cutting a section of the sidewalk and the curb. The other two planned on the outflow to end in the middle of the lawn. Darek (Jersey Dry) planned to excavate under the sidewalk for the discharge pipe and to end with a pop-up at the edge of the curb. No cutting of either the sidewalk slab or the curb. That’s what was done and it works without a problem.

I’ve worked with Jersey Dry twice, once in 2019 and again in 2023. Their work was impeccable both times. Darek is one of the best project managers I’ve worked with from any contractor. His prices are fair and he’s always quick to respond. His brother, Jerry, leads the crew and does meticulous work. I always felt comfortable with their crew in my house; they treated it like their own. I wish they did more than waterproofing because I’d hire them for everything around the house!

Jersey Dry Waterproofing did an excellent job with our 115 year old, original condition, basement. Since their services we have not had a single wet floor during a heavy rain, and the work is quite clean and level. They cleaned up the work site as well (no dust!) and were very courteous during the drilling process - made sure we did not have any calls or meetings at the time (we WFH).

Darek at Jersey Dry was very helpful in working through the process of basement water leak discovery and remediation with me. Before contracting for the main interior French drain service we received he attempted to find less expensive solutions. Unfortunately an interior French drain was the eventual solution. When the French drain was done, everything happened in one day and the product looks very good. I would highly recommend their service.

Jersey Dry was absolutely INCREDIBLE from the very start to finish. Setting up an appointment for a free estimate was very easy. Darek was very thorough and professional - he came out to our basement and took his time breaking everything down and answering every single question. Jersey Dry gave us the best price out of all of our estimates, and we were able to set up a start date within two weeks of the estimate. On the project start date, Jerry, the project manager, was on time and got right to work. The Jersey Dry project team was great... I cannot stress enough how professional, thorough, efficient, and transparent the project team was when installing our interior drain and Humidex machine. Jerry and his crew were a pleasure to work with, and the project was delivered in 3 quick days with no hiccups. Our basement was left cleaner than when they first came in... Overall, the entire Jersey Dry team was truly incredible and everything any homeowner can ask for. We had an excellent experience from the initial assessment, through the scoping and level of effort and eventual statement of work. Our project lasted precisely three days as defined and the crew was optimally efficient in their work efforts even working on the weekend. The end result was a flawless outcome to a very significant problem we faced for many years. If you live in NJ and you have water problems there is only one logical choice when it comes to waterproofing and that's JerseyDry. Kudos to Derrek, Jerry and the entire team for an excellent experience! We can't express enough how pleased we are with their efforts.

Amazing work. Crew showed up at 8:15 to complete 60 feet of trenching around my interior basement walls. I was told what and how they were going to perform the work. They completely covered all my belongings and installed a fan to take the Dust out as they worked. Work was completed in 7 hours and you would not know they were there. Very professional and clean. Was quoted much hire price from a different Angie's list! Glad I called Jersey Dry.

With a very wet NJ 2018 extending into the winter months, a long endured wet basement problem needed fixing. We spoke to 3 contractors pre-selected for their very good reviews so we knew we could work with the one who won the contract. Two were very close and Jersey Dry had a couple of features that separated them from the competition. They apparently have two small crews and the work took 3 days to complete by one of them. They started by 9 am each day and were gone by 5 pm or earlier. They were very careful to control for dust and dirt, and managed to move equipment, construction debris and materials in and out of a basement window so there was minimum upset upstairs from the front door to the basement stairs (which was covered with tarps each day). All basement appliances and other items were moved to the center of the space and isolated with two layers of plastic sheeting hung from the above floor joists and taped to the basement floor. As the work progressed Jersey Dry's crew worked carefully and maintained a clean worksite. They swept the floor every day and mopped it at least once as well as washing the concrete block walls near the end of work. In addition, the crew worked steadily and were polite and friendly. When they left the place was clean, the system tested having run by the end of the second day. The scope of work included an underground drain line routed from the pump discharge through high on the basement wall then under the lawn and sidewalks to the street curb so water could then spill into the street. Derek sold the job and was very responsive to emails before and during the work. Jerry ran the crew and was also responsive and easy to deal with. The crew was impressive and each seemed to know what to do without being instructed. They've apparently worked together for some time and worked well together. Jersey Dry includes free follow-up as needed and yearly inspection. It will be very easy to recommend them to others as we have already done.

Great company to deal with. They were professional and the installation went well. This was a one day job, with a follow up on another day because the water exit piped to the outside ditch was leaking and had to be re-done, replacing the leading section of black flex pipe (which should not have been used) with PVC. Would have rated an A for quality if not for this poor connection which had to be replaced. One of my main concerns for this job was the cement work quality. I must say that the cement work is excellent. The cement is very level and smooth. I was also impressed with how they jack hammered the old and thick basement floor to install the drains. Looked like the cement was cut with a knife, very nice. They cleaned up completely and the crew was professional and friendly.

After three storms in which I got substantial water in my basement (Oct 2017, January 2018 & February 2018) I finally called a waterproofing companies to fix my problem. I chose the best three reviewed on Angies List, Google, and Yelp.....one of the three happened to be Jersey Dry Inc. Darek came to the house on time and inspected my issues and recommended interior french drains (as did the other two companies). He explained the process and what it would entail. His quote was very reasonable. When his crew came to start work, Jerry (the foreman) was very polite, they put drop clothes around the house, taped up the door so no dust would come upstairs. It was a three day job and at the end of each day, Jerry would bring me downstairs and show me what they had done that day and what they were planning on doing tomorrow. I can't say enough about how clean and profressional they were. They arrived on time each day and were done on time. I I was so glad that I chose them for my interior french drains. I would recommend them to anyonre.

I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor!!!! This team was knowledgeable about their trade, professional, prompt, and courteous from start to finish and beyond. After getting a couple of quotes from other waterproofing companies, I contacted Jersey Dry to get a quote for waterproofing the basement, and the first gentleman I dealt with was Jeff Lentz, who came by the house to identify my concerns and requirements, take measurements of the basement, design a preliminary solution, and provide the estimate of costs for work to be done. He was extremely patient and answered every single one of my questions (and there were a lot). He was very thorough and really wanted to make sure I was satisfied with everything and all my questions were answered before he left. The solution they provided seemed to be better than their competition, and the price I was quoted was about $3k less than the next lowest cost contractor, and based on these factors and the fact that Jeff seemed so genuine, I decided to move forward with Jersey Dry to perform the work. My decision was also greatly influenced by the fact that they have a lifetime warranty for the work being performed, so if you have any problems at all down the road, you just call them and they come out and fix it. Not to mention that they will also come out to your home once a year to perform maintenance on the system free of charge! The original quote was for the following: - full perimeter french drains (147 linear feet) - remove old sump pit basin, and install new sump pit basin in existing pit - remove old electric sump pump and install new electric sump pump - install new water pressure backup pump in existing pit - dig new sump pit in opposite corner from existing pit - install new sump pit basin in new pit - install new electric sump pump in new pit - install new water pressure backup pump in new pit - water discharge to lawn outside of house (later changed to discharge to storm drain in front of house) The crew came as scheduled on 07/23/2014, and I was greeted by Darek who was the crew chief as well as one of the owner's of the company. He was very polite, explained that the job would be completed around 3pm the next day, and went over everything that was agreed upon, to ensure that the work to be performed and my expectations were in line with what Jeff and I originally discussed. We walked around the basement, and went over everything before any work started and after clarifying a few things Darak and his team were ready to go (these guys worked extremely hard and only took a short break for lunch) . I did request that prior to starting certain phases of the project that I be called down to see the progress and I was called down as requested. About 2hrs into their work , I spoke with Darek and asked him if it would be a problem to run a 4in PVC pipe from the house to the storm drain in front of the house to discharge the water into the storm drain instead of onto the lawn. And additionally, since the ditch in the lawn would already be dug up, I also requested that they run a separate line for a couple of the leaders from the house to go to the storm drain as well. He said it would not be a problem for them, and they immediately began making calls to the town to obtain the permits to punch into the storm drain. He also provided me with an updated quote (which was not at all unreasonable and is included in the $9,200 stated above). After all the work was completed, everything was better than I expected, and they did a great job cleaning up the work area afterwards. Oh, and I decided to test the sump pumps myself a couple of months after the work was completed, and realized that in one of the sump pits the backup water pressure pump was getting triggered before the electrical sump pump was triggered. I sent an email and they receptionist (Megan, who was also a joy to deal with during the entire process) called me and set up an appointment for Darak to come out the next day. As scheduled, Darak arrived the next day and had the problem corrected in about 20min, and told me not to hesitate to call if I need anything else. I will definitely be using Jersey Dry again if I need any waterproofing done, and I am already spreading the word to all my family and friends. Believe me, you will not be disappointed if you choose Jersey Dry!

We had a good experience with them. They did the job when they said they were going to do it and they did it in the timeframe that they said they were going to. There were a few small issues and they were really helpful in addressing those, following the initial service.

This took a long time and we kept finding more to do to rid our house of mold/dampness and the project kept expanding- our fault. Since the company specialized in waterproofing only we should have had some of the above done by other contractors because it seemed carpentry/masonry skills were sub par. See attached walkway repair photo. The basement IS dry and vastly improved. One of the windows installed still let's in a driving rain. We called an outside contractor, recommended by Andersen Windows, to figure it out. No defects in the window were found and extra caulking was done- but it still lets driving rain in. Walkway brickwork a little sloppy.

Waterproofing inspection on home we were under contract on. The inspection turned up so many issues that we walked away from the home. Amazing service
