"Thank you Mr. [member name removed], Enjoy the new fireplace! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to work on your home. Bill Ryan"
"HI [Member name], It is a liability for us to provide quotes from another companies inspection. We are in the life safety business and we do not take chances with the safety of the operation of your chimney system. We charge $99 to make a trip to you property, that covers the gas, insurances, vehicles, employee time, the expenses we take in training and certifying our employees and the overall cost of doing business. Im sorry we could not meet your expectations. I hope you successfully have your chimney repaired to codes, standards and with a knowledgeable company, like I said before, this is a life safety trade and most disregard that aspect in their repairs. Best, Bill Ryan; President"
"(Removed member name), As per our conversation on Friday, it's more than a stucco repair. The slight delay in getting info to you was due to the scope of this project. We do not issues estimates on site, we discuss the issues internally and come up with a strategy. In sorry your experience with is was less than stellar, as we strive for 100% satisfaction, which is why we cannot bid your project without other trades involved. We have a policy not to perform band aid repairs and only give real long term solutions. My apologies for not making that clearer during our conversation. Should you have any Questions, feel free to contact me direct by phone or through email from the address I sent you the pictures from. Thank you for your input and good luck with your project Bill Ryan"
April of this year I had three awesome guys come to the house (Dan, Cooper and Chris) the day they showed up it was raining but Dan had said they were going to wait a little for it to stop. Which it did. Once the rain stopped, they got right to work. Everything about them was professional. They started by putting down a drop cloth on the roof itself next to the chimney just to catch debris. Right before they went to lunch, Dan started to work on the crown to see how bad it was. I expressed my concern about the cap as well. After a few minutes of checking it all over, he said yea this is pretty bad and your going to get a new cap too. I was instantly happy because I knew it needed it. All three came back and continued their professionalism and finalized 95% of the job. i was told them had to come back in a couple days after everything set to do the chimney save water proofing. All three of these guys were great. My wife and I recently had a baby and they were in awe of her. Talking with us like we were family and just being genuine guys.
Dan called me back a few days later saying they were in the area and wanted to get the chimney saver water proofing done if possible which was fine for us. they wrapped my bushes next to the chimney with a tarp not to get it on them. WOW these guys are good. We received my final statement just the other day and to my surprise they was no extra charge for the cap they replaced! All i can say is thank you. With the new baby, this would have been an extra expense I simply don't have right now.
I also wanted to add that they had replaced a piece of shingle on the roof as well that I had accidentally ripped shoveling the roof this year. They also put a piece of gutter that blew off a few weeks ago back on my downspout. I knew it came off but forgot about it with the baby and all. Was I surprised they did these two extra things not part of my job and did not charge for the cap, YES!
In end, they might not be the cheapest but I WILL hire this company again for future maintenance and repairs Truly an asset to Angies List.
Daniel, Chris, and Cooper (sorry if I got the names wrong!) came to my house earlier than the appointment (no complaints here!). To me they did an excellent job and answered any questions I had.
One of the questions was "would I use them in the future" - perhaps in a future home! But I don't think I'll need them again in this home thanks to their thorough work. A+
"Hello Mr. (removed member name), I am sorry you felt the need to provide a negative review of my company. We do provide educated chimney technicians, which sometimes leads to findings that other contractors miss. Educated chimney professionals, in general, are going to recognize conditions more than others. I want to clarify a few things on this review. First, we have performed no service on the property listed above. We did visit the property , but were unable to service due to a rusted shut damper. This visit was on 1/24/14. At the time of the visit, my technician was explicitly told by his contact on site that no repairs would be performed as you just needed to get the home ready for sale. During the course of the visit, my technician noted the chimney had separated from the home, indicating the possibility of settling. You then opted not to reschedule the sweep/inspection with us. If you are in need of the original paperwork, I can easily email it over to you for clarification. It was emailed to you on 1/24/14 originally. If you would like to discuss, please do contact me directly. Bill Ryan"
