The first guy said that my system is already obsolete, even though it 's only about 5 years old, and that it is probably a leak, but they can never seem to locate anything. He said that there is really no repair options, and it will just need to be replaced.  One time I called, he said it was too hot to come and service it and I would have to wait until the fall!  I will say that the last time, the fellow took more time than any of the other techs have, but he said he couldn't find anything either. I would never recommend them to anyone. The system is currently working, but who knows how long it will last.

The work went fine. They are very reliable. They were neat, and they did what they said they were going to do. I did not have any problem with them. We use them for oil as well. They fix whatever needs to be foxed. They come when they say they are going to come.

The company who the manufacturer chose to do the replacement was excellent. They did the job very quickly, very efficiently and the workmen were good. Three strong as men I ever saw in my life. The manufacturer gave me a different name for them, but their receipts and everything said Petro Heat & Power Co Inc. They were very responsive. After it had been installed, I read the manual and it said not to install on vinyl and before they changed the furnace, there was some kind of a metallic covering on the floor, uninstalling it I guess it was torn up and it was sitting on vinyl so I called Petro and said that it's not supposed to be on the vinyl and I'm concerned because I would think it would be a fire hazard that the vinyl could soften or melt or heat it up, but when they say not to do it, it shouldn't be done. I asked him about it and he said as long as there is wood under it that's okay. I don't know who is at fault here because I had it installed on the 11th of January and I had not yet gotten a permit so I wanted to ask the township about the vinyl when they came to inspect, but I still haven't gotten a permit and I asked Blake (who does the paper work) about it and he kept saying as long as there is wood under it, it's fine…No furnace could be supported by a sheet of vinyl, there will have to be wood or concrete supporting the vinyl. I felt that he didn't understand and I want to talk to the township, I guess I will call them because the permit hasn't yet come in. It's an all over negative although he came out and looked and said there is wood under it. The price was very reasonable. The manufacturer replaced it with an identical model several years older without the recall problem, but I was not allowed to upgrade and the charge was nil so I felt comfortable with that. I am satisfied with the price. Blake doesn't understand the reason for not putting it on vinyl and he is high in the company and he's memorized the manual, but there seems to be a comprehension problem. I could be wrong, I know nothing, but when I read in a manual, do not install over vinyl, I'm assuming vinyl is a flammable material and you are putting something that creates heat on top of it makes good sense to me and with my first heater there was some metallic covering, but he said the problem would be if I didn't have a wood floor under it. I didn't pay anything because I had a bad product. Quality means knowledge and I'm not certain that Bake knew what I was talking about and I am upset that I haven't gotten a permit which apparently comes from the manufacturer and it's been over six weeks and I would like the township to come out, look at my vinyl and tell me if it's okay and may be I'll call the township and explain the concern. Until I know who is right, I will be judging him without the knowledge to judge him. May be he is right. He obviously knows a lot more than I do, but common sense tells me that he's missing something. I would use their services in the future if need be.
