I called Quick Cooling and scheduled a next day appointment. Bart arrived in the scheduled window time, diagnosed the issue and explained to me what my options were. He did phenomenal work and our Central Air unit was up and running at full capacity. Definitely would recommend them for your HVAC needs.

Quick response to my call to come over to see why the AC unit was turning on but no air was circulating the house.. Came by within a few hours of my call! The technician was very nice and knowledgeable, told me that the issue may be blower motor and presented me with a few options to solve my issue.

I am surprised that this company has been given such a high rating by HomeAdvisor, considering many of the negative reviews posted and the very low Better Business Bureau Rating (D +). I should have known better than to blindly trust the misleading HomeAdvisor rating and I should have done my due diligence on Quick Cooling & Heating (located in Kenilworth, NJ) to avoid being victimized by this company's bait and switch fraudulent billing scheme. In June 2018, I was billed $4,900 for the replacement of my Carrier heat pump ac and servicing of the air handler coil. Unfortunately, I was not present to supervise the work (big mistake) and relied on the word of Mr. Amir Karni (owner of Quick Cooling & Heating), so I authorized a charge of a $2,000 deposit to commence the work. Later that evening, I was informed the work was completed and my credit card would be billed for the remaining balance. However, I questioned the billing when I noted the invoice reflected that a Coleman ac was installed instead of a Trane ac, as had been agreed. I was told that "Trane was not available so Coleman was installed instead and it's just as good". Upon my return to my home, I realized that my ac was replaced with an EVCON ac and not a Coleman. When I questioned Mr. Karni about the discrepancy he told me "Coleman makes EVCON". A phone call to the local distributor quickly confirmed this is not true. To make matters worse, I later learned that my heat pump ac was replaced with a split air ac, which wasn't an issue during the summer time but proved to be a big problem during the winter when I tried to turn on the heat and got nothing but cold air! Due to the emergency situation, I ended up finding another HVAC contractor who replaced the entire system (I stayed with Carrier). It was also confirmed that the air handler coil was not serviced which resulted in an on-going leak that caused drywall water damage. For the past eight months, I have made numerous attempts to resolve this dispute with Mr. Karni who has remained unresponsive. So, it looks like I will now have to legal action in court to recover my losses for damages.

I think overall they did a descent job but too early to tell. They went in to identify why my heater was not working. Initial diagnosis was that the boiler needed to remove the air. Then we were advised to replace the whole pipes as they were apparently frozen and were charged price premium due to the urgency of the matter. The heater worked at the end of their work but the litmus test would be to see it working over the course of the whole winter. The company could benefit from a better customer service after finishing the work - we were advised that they would send us photos of where they cut the dry wall to inform us the magnitude of effort to fix it using another contractor (we don?t live at the premises and this company would not fix the wall but would recommend someone else) and are still waiting. Also still waiting to receive our invoice despite multiple requests. Not a huge deal but important from overall customer experience standpoint. Giving this advice to the company as a constructive feedback and not necessarily as a complaint.

Hired company because my Nest thermostat kept powering off. The technician showed up an hour early, which was nice, and within fifteen minutes figured out what was wrong. It wasn't the thermostat, instead it was my heating system transformer. He fixed it and has a warranty from them for a year at no charge. They were polite, super quick, and professional.
