I've used this mechanic for 6 plus years. He is knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Mike explains what needs to be done and why. He provides options. He patiently answers questions. He replaced my driver's side window motor at 4:30 PM, Friday on a holiday weekend May 2011. I called him at 2:30 PM (time of motor death). It was 90 degrees and I was en-route to pick up a perishable food on order and bring it home to store. Mike took my call, said he would call to check if he could get the part. Called back in 10 minutes. When I explained my perishable food situation,he said no problem. He understood this was an emergency. I live in an urban area and must park on the street. Getting this window back up was crucial. When I first called, Mike suggested a few techniques that might either close the window manually or jolt the window motor to work. When I brought the car in, he tried these himself. Mike offered me a cheaper alternative (less money for him) of switching my "dead" window motor with a working one on my car. I chose the new window motor.Mike explained the work. He had given me a quote for my 2 options. The work was done promptly and I've had no problems with that window since. He is a good mechanic. He is honest. He clearly shows costs for labor and costs for parts. His prices are reasonable for the tri state area. Less than some other mechanics. Definitely less than a dealer. I drive a car with over 160,000 miles on it. It is more reliable than some much younger. I've never had to return because of a bad part or a mistake. Will be returning for a road trip check and new shocks soon. He's already given me a price and monitored the quality of my shocks and struts for the past year.
