+ -1 moreCalled Jose for an estimate, and he came out promptly and gave me a good number. He was very amiable, polite and genuine. I gave him a small deposit and he had my railings done in 3 days! He came back with his crew and they installed the railings. Afterwards I asked him about fixing my front railings which were missing some decorative harps, and could he possibly replace them with some from the old back railings he had just removed. He was happy to do it for me, for a small additional fee of $50, and I was VERY happy! I got a great deal all in all, and would recommend Jose to anyone!

+ -1 moreThe old wrought iron railing that was on our entire front porch had gotten destroyed from the storm last October, when our 100 year old tree fell on it.I called Jose Medrano after finding him on Angies List. He came over to see the problem right away. They took the damaged pieces which they repaired in their shop. After they fixed and replaced them, they then scraped and cleaned the rest of the railings and repainted them. They did an amazing job. They are the nicest people to have work on your house. We are extremely pleased the porch railing looks amazing. And they were very neat!

+ -1 moreThe response from Allweld was excellent. Jose called right back and came that day to give me an estimate, which was very reasonable. He was very attentive to all the details I was concerned about, and was in general a very pleasant man to deal with. Toether, we wrote up a proposal, with all the specs, pricing, and schedule. He delivered and installed the finished product on-time, quickly and efficiently, and the finished product is just what I wanted and expected.
Description of Work: I needed a simple, interior, residential railing for the stairs and landings from first to third floors. It was to be temporary, so we didn't want to spend a fortune and weren't looking for the level of quality we would want for a permanent fixture.

+ 1 moreI called Jose of Allweld iron. Very nice guy- very professional, worked around my schedule and had me drop off the 2 bed rails on Saturday. He had finished adding the 3 inch patch (plus reinforcement) to each rail by Monday morning. Picked them up on Thursday (again, he was very good about working around my schedule) and paid ~$35! I had the antique bed put back together and waiting for the new Queen size mattress that was delivered two days later- and it worked beautifully! For $35 I got to keep the antique brass bed frame that I loved, but upgraded it to a beautiful Queen size mattress. Fantastic job!
Description of Work: I have an antique brass bed frame. The sizes of these old bed frames are for a twin or double mattress. I wanted to expand the brass bed frame rails to accommodate a Queen size mattress. I needed 3 inches added to the length of the frame, which meant lengthening each cast iron bed frame rail by 3 inches to accommodate the 80" Queen box spring & mattress (the double was 78" long & I added one inch 'in case'). I took the bed frame apart and dropped off the side rails with Jose and Martin at Allweld Iron, to lengthen each rail by 3inches.

+ 0 moreThey were excellent. We liked that did the work really quickly and they did a good job. They kept the estimate, which was $800 and that included scrapping and painting the fire escape and the deck. We just liked the person and we think his name was Nadianna, but we are not really sure, but we thought that he was really good. We called them for these repairs that we needed and we were very happy with them, which was why we used them again.
Description of Work: We used AllWeld Iron in March and they repaired several fire escape steps and were broken. We had them come back later in May because we had quite a large deck that is fire escape, in other words they are iron slabs and they scrapped and painted it.

+ 0 moreI got them from Angie's List and they had very good ratings. It was quite a big job since the fire escape goes over part of the building and is sort of an extended deck area. He was extremely punctual in giving the estimate and coming exactly when he said he would. They did the work remarkably quickly. They came on two separate days and they were very fast. He had a couple of workers and they did a very good job. I would use them again and recommend them too.
