I am a loyal Avellinos customer. 20 years ago my neighbors gave me fabulous reviews and I used Avellinos to re-pave my bluestone walkway and front steps. They did a wonderful job. I recently had Avellinos renovate my entire kitchen from floor to ceiling. The work was done to perfection and attention was paid to every detail. The finishing work is excellent. Also, Avellinos workers are very pleasant and clean up the work area dally. It was a wonderful experience!

Avellino did an excellent job. The workers removed the structure of the bluestone walkway. Excavated dirt. They prepared the substrate by pouring a steel reinforced concrete foundation that was missing from the previous job. They power washed the bluestone and replaced a piece of bluestone. They reset the existing bluestone, filled the joints using a special mixure of portland cement and additives for strength and leveled the sunken walkway. They worked tirelessly and efficiently. They were prompt and the supervisor was always available at the site. They cleaned up and removed all debris as part of the work. They added sod and seeded the area that was excavated. The job was completed in 2 DAYS, UNLIKE the PREVIOUS MASONRY CONTRACTOR that took MONTHS for a lesser job that needed to be replaced after 3 years and was almost never available for contact.

They showed up on time and completed the project with great results. This was the 4th project they did for me. I've never been disappointed.

Avellino Custom Masonry crews did an exceptional job executing and fine tuning our project. After speaking with several masonry companies and contractors, we hired Avelino to repair the foundation of our home. They were extremely prompt in offering an explanation of service, an estimate and a service date. Today, they came out to complete the repair and went above and beyond the expectations I had for the project, while respecting and preserving our tight budget. I am immensely grateful to Paul and his polite, professional, experienced team for the hard, efficient work and plan to use them for relevant projects in the future. I highly recommend this company.

Job went very well and we are very happy with the completed product. They were very punctual, very neat - they cleaned up at the end of each day, leaving the site neat and protected. They were easy to deal with, they quickly responded to all concerns and/or questions. They worked Monday thru Saturday from 8 - 5. As this was an outside job, we have received many compliments from both neighbors and strangers/passersby on the completed job. We would definitley use them again.

The end result exceeded our expectations. It turned out beautiful and the attention to detail that was taken is reflected in the end result. We couldn’t be happier with it. Pricing was competitive and quality of work was top notch. Paul was our project manager and he was a pleasure to deal with. He was responsive and respectful and handled the job professionally. Paul even assisted with the completion of our veranda, working an entire weekend with the carpenter to make up for time lost because of weather. Both the carpentry and masonry on our project came out perfect. We love it!

Very pleased with the whole process. They can on time for the estimate and explained all steps that would be taken to complete the job. Decided to go with them due to the fact they are on Angies List, participate in the BBB, and the biggest plus was no payment until the job was done! Have recommended them to neighbors and friends who were also very pleased.

Office manager came over to look at the project in early June 2017, provided suggestions, agreed with our schedule to do the work in July, and committed to provide a written estimate within 1-2 weeks. Did not hear back, and after numerous contact attempts, the owner came over to re-look at the project. A verbal estimate was provided and owner committed to follow-up with a detailed written estimate. Written estimate never arrived and never heard back from them. In the end, we went with another Masonry contractor and we are very satisfied with the results.

Person doing the work was extremely professional and quality of work was very high. He took time to do the job right and the results really showed. We had multiple masons provide estimates and we chose Avellino since they were realistic about the time and effort it would take to complete the job. Fireplace looks great and we are very pleased.

. Due to our upcoming relocation and the need to sell our house, we were on a tight timeline. They were able to complete the job on time and the work was absolutely wonderful.

I only had them here for one job. It was done in a day, but they did have to come back to take down the wooden forms that hold in the concrete and they put plastic on it so they had to take the plastic off and then they had to reseed the lawn and do some landscaping around where they messed it up to do the job. They did a beautiful job. They workers were very nice.

On time and done in a day. Professional crew that did good finish work. However, the installed thickness of base quarry product was less than the thickness in the quote and in less than a month there is rutting in and plants growing through the drive.

It took two months (the estimate on August 28, the actual work done on October 30), and I was anxious it might be getting too cold for a concrete work, but once started Adam and his crew got the job done according to the quote. They were professional, courteous, and cleaned up after. Avelino's quote was higher than the other two but I am satisfied with the quality of work.

I'm a new home-owner and I was having issues with water in my basement. The sump pump did not appear to be working properly. Thankfully, I found Angie's List and quickly found a deal for a new sump pump installation from Avellino's. And what can I say, Avellino's was great. I worked specifically with Paul, who was very professional, courteous, and responsive. Paul and his team delivered a great work product installing the new sump pump. A month after the initial work, there was an additional problem with the old drain pipe for the sump pump that became clogged. I was not sure if Paul would remember me, but I sent him a message and to my surprise, he responded right away. Paul and his team quickly came back to my house and addressed the problem (at no additional charge). They stand by their work. All that is to say that I had a great experience with Avellino (and Paul). I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Took only two days from start to finish from tearing and digging up old floor to helping move out and stack old bricks (for reuse later). They also added two 18" footings for a car lift to be added later. Will hire again for future projects.

My wife was VERY particular about what and how she wanted things, and everyone at Avelino accommodated us every step of the way. There were numerous communications by phone and email and Adam was always very timely and responsive. The crew came the day before starting the job to go over all the particulars. The crew was very professional, worked hard, was neat and meticulous. It was evident that our crew had pride in their work. It came out beautifully. All work was completed in one day. They returned the next day to check everything and even re-set a brick walkway I had off the side of the cement sidewalk they poured. Because the poured section fanned out, they added brick and cut the brick to tightly follow the contour. This was not part of the job or price. Just a little extra to make things right. And, it was true that you pay nothing until the job is done to your satisfaction. They followed up to make sure we were pleased with everything, with nothing to fix, and only then did they stop by for payment. Absolutely will use them again in the future.

The walkway and steps came out well but the job was extremely messy and they badly damaged our driveway. While they tried to fix it, it was two toned and looked awful, while there only concern was to get their payment. I would not use again.

The workers arrived as scheduled.  Work was done in a craftsman type manner and the final product was beautifully done and the clean up was meticulous.   I would use them again and am in the process of obtaining an estimate for additional work in the Spring of 2017.  

Adam came right on time to give us an estimate to complete the job. On the day the job was to scheduled to begin, it was raining and we thought they wouldn't be able to start. But they showed up on time and said they would start and hopefully the weather would clear up. Sure enough, the sun came out and they were able to finish in one day with the exception of filling in the sand. We had 2 small glitches which were corrected without a problem. The first was they brought a different color paver than the one we picked. But they immediately got on the phone and were able to send one of the guys to get the correct ones. The other problem was the original slope, the walk was originally divided into 3 unequal sections with 2 unequal steps and the slope was too steep (bad mason job). When the job was complete, we were still not comfortable with the slope. They immediately came back and corrected the problem by adding another step. Perfect.

The provided showed up at 8:00am as indicated and immediately start working by dismantling the old railings and tearing down the existing steps and walkway.  (P.S., It was the hottest day I've experienced living at my home; but nonetheless, the workers were mindful of the heat and I kept them well hydrated throughout the day).  Within an hour and a half, the steps were torn apart and the debris was swept away and removed from the premises.  After a short lunch break, the forms for the new steps were in place and the rebuilding began with all measurements taken and the process of laying the new bricks were well underway.  By the end of day one, I had a new front step with Connecticut Blue Stone as risers and the landing of the top step.  On day two, the workers were back to lay the concrete walkway and point the joints.  I'm a very hard person to please when it comes to detail but the workers from Avellino did an outstanding job and I could not be happier. (P.S.  They don't know it as yet, but I have three other projects lined up for them to do).  I will recommend Avellino to anyone that wants quality masonry work done.  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.  A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER IN MAPLEWOOD, NJ.

COMPANY IS A JOKE, SHOWS UP WITH ALL THIS PAPER WORK HOW GOOD THEY ARE AND WOULD PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE IN 2 DAYS AND STILL 1 WEEK AND 2 DAYS LATER NOTHING. CALLED AND THEN THEY SENT AN ESTIMATE BUT STILL NOT COMPLETE.. IS THIS THE MASON YOU WANT TO DO YOUR WORK, I DONT THINK SO
