I was ghosted by this company so I cannot comment on their service performance. What I can comment on is their unprofessionalism and lack of consideration to others’ time. I contacted FreshStep several weeks ago to schedule a mandatory yearly condo association dryer vent cleaning. Spoke with Mark who initially responded fairly quickly to the message I left. As I prefer weekends, I scheduled the service for the next available Saturday (November 16th — or two + weeks out) and was given a fair price of $75 to complete this service which I understood would take about 1/2 hour. So far so good. What I did find odd was Mark saying he could not give me a scheduled time or even schedule a window of time for the November 16 service— that it was their practice to call the night before with a schedule window (not even a scheduled time). Okay, I went with it. However, as life happens, weekends tend to fill in pretty quickly with other pressing things to attend to. It was very hard to schedule around what essentially was a huge question mark occupying my entire Saturday, November 16. I reached out to Mark Thursday, November 14, hoping to at least get some idea of timing — would it be morning or afternoon? — something, anything?? No. He couldn’t give me any timing information whatsoever, as he reminded me the schedule is arranged the night before. So, essentially my entire Saturday was being held hostage for a 1/2 hr service call. It was incredibly unfair. I anticipated receiving a call from Mark the next day (Friday, November 15), to finally reveal my schedule window. Nothing. I called numerous times and left several messages for Mark on Friday, November 15. My calls were unanswered and my messages were not returned. REALLY?? I was dumbfounded. Who does this?? I called again early Saturday morning, the day Mark put me on his company’s schedule to come to my home and perform a dryer vent cleaning. No one answered. I left yet another message. No one showed up. No communication. Nothing. My entire Saturday was sabotaged. Mark couldn’t be bothered to return any of my calls or messages and has never reached out to apologize for his company’s rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior. I had sacrificed an entire precious day out of an even more precious weekend to a company who clearly could care less. How a company presents itself is very revealing. To all those who read these reviews, I ask based on my introductory experience with FreshStep Cleaning Service, is this a company you would trust to provide quality anything??

He gave me a discount. They always do a good job. I have to remind the people who come that they have to get the back end of the dryer vent, not just where the dryer is. They have to go to the back of the house because of the way my dryer is set up. They don?t take the initiative to just do that even though I request it and it is on the order. He does it, there is no issue. Even though it's on the request, he doesn't follow through. The only person I would say who does do it, is the owner. The owner knows because he has done this house before. 

It turned out fine. I have a really old carpet, so it’s just stained regardless of how you clean it. It’s over a decay old, it’s at least 15 years old. They are usually punctual. I use them every year for my vent cleaning regardless.
