j&s heating cooling drain cleaning

First of all I wanna mention that my experience is similar to many people who have been serviced by j&s as it appears in their Yelp reviews. I had a working furnace that was tripping because of limited airflow, they practically forced me to change the furnace. Which, cost me $4000 and took over 2 weeks. Then the new one had a defective gas valve. Then the furnace kept tripping and stopped working even after changing the valve. I had to reopen the work order for the 3rd time. When they came they found out about the limited airflow from the dirty coil. They said they'll talk with AHS and get back to me, but what they did is they closed the request as completed. I had to call again to reopen the request. When they showed, up they tried to talk me into downgrading my filter. It was too late when I realized that the real issue was a dirty coil and/or duckt work not the furnace. Lastly, they sneakily updated the request to have a non covered item ($200 to change the air filter) this way, the request cannot be reopened without accepting these charges. It's worth mentioning that they were trying to upsell a new AC system as well, arguing that it will be easier for them to change everything at once. Apparently, AHS policy, allows, if not encouraging this kind of behavior. They rather cover equipment that they buy on discount and let the homeowner pay the hefty labor costs, than cover repairs. I have spent the coldest days this winter with no heat, 2 months and $4000 later I end up with a new furnace and the original issue.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! They were supposed to come out to service my furnace issue. I received a call from a guy but missed the call. (Call 1 to Tech) I called him back and he seemed like he was in a bad mood and told me we'll be at your house between 12-5pm. I said ok. The office manager Jennifer called and informed me that my warranty company mentioned they will not be able to cover anything regarding my boiler and that I would be responsible for the cost. I explained that the issue is with my furnace and not my Steam Heat boiler. She told me to contact the warranty company and give her a call back. (Call 2 to Jennifer) I spoke with my warranty company and called back but Jennifer didn't answer the phone so the call was forwarded to their technician who was very nasty with me on the phone. He was very short and was telling me he picked up my call as a courtesy because Jennifer didn't answer. The tech also said, "Listen the warranty company will not cover this so if I come to your home, you will be responsible for the parts and labor for the boiler. I proceeded to tell him its not the boiler and he got nasty and said I don't have time to listen to this S***. I told him I didn't call you, I called Jennifer. He told me that Jennifer is busy working and that's the only reason why he answered. (In my head I was thinking Isn't this work. Also, if you are busy and she is busy then...WHY ANSWER?). He also told me he is at another clients house and stated he didn't have time to talk to me again and hung up on me. I spoke with Jennifer and reported my experience with this guy. She said let the tech come out and he'll be able to diagnose the issue...Fine... (Call 3 to Tech who called to confirm appointment. Not knowing it was the nasty guy.) I remembered I had a video of the issue with my furnace and rather than having this guy come to my house and wasting both of our time and my money, let me call the technician who called me to confirm my appointment. Mind you the number is a total different number than the number I called to speak with Jennifer. I call the number and guess who picked up the phone??? The rude technician and he went off me so I yelled back at him and told him that's poor customer service. We hung and he called back and said call your warranty company because I am not coming to your house and hung up on me. (The same guy who had no time to talk to me but called back to curse me out and say he's not coming.) I definitely did not recognize or know that the guy who picked up when I Called Jennifer was the same tech who called to confirm my appointment this morning. I called Jennifer and told her that he said he's not coming and about how nasty he was again. He lied and told her I called him 7 times and cursed him out. She told me I have to find another company and she refused to let me speak with the owner to report this and refused to give me his name for the review I currently writing. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
