j&s heating cooling drain cleaning

First of all I wanna mention that my experience is similar to many people who have been serviced by j&s as it appears in their Yelp reviews. I had a working furnace that was tripping because of limited airflow, they practically forced me to change the furnace. Which, cost me $4000 and took over 2 weeks. Then the new one had a defective gas valve. Then the furnace kept tripping and stopped working even after changing the valve. I had to reopen the work order for the 3rd time. When they came they found out about the limited airflow from the dirty coil. They said they'll talk with AHS and get back to me, but what they did is they closed the request as completed. I had to call again to reopen the request. When they showed, up they tried to talk me into downgrading my filter. It was too late when I realized that the real issue was a dirty coil and/or duckt work not the furnace. Lastly, they sneakily updated the request to have a non covered item ($200 to change the air filter) this way, the request cannot be reopened without accepting these charges. It's worth mentioning that they were trying to upsell a new AC system as well, arguing that it will be easier for them to change everything at once. Apparently, AHS policy, allows, if not encouraging this kind of behavior. They rather cover equipment that they buy on discount and let the homeowner pay the hefty labor costs, than cover repairs. I have spent the coldest days this winter with no heat, 2 months and $4000 later I end up with a new furnace and the original issue.
