This contractor came to me recommended by another contractor whose work was excellent, He came to my house, assessed the work I wanted done and quoted me an acceptable price. He asked for a 50% down payment on the work and promised to come a week later. He cashed the check, but didn't show, and didn't call. When I called, he apologized and promised to come the next week. He didn't show up, and didn't call. When I called again, he set another date to come. He didn't show and didn't call. I called and asked for my money back. He returned my call and begged for the chance to do the job. I agreed, and he promised to come on a specific date and time. At the end of that day, he hadn't come and didn't call, I called repeatedly and he never answered. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, and he never responded to them. I filed a complaint with the county Consumer Affairs office, and he never responded to them. The only recourse available is Small Claims Court.
Description of Work: The services I wanted were the removal of old steps and installation of new steps to my house. I also had several other smaller masonry jobs I wanted done.
