I purchased this service as an angie's list bargain. I prepaid for two or three hour of service. Instead, I had a saleman come out in May to attempt to up sell me for additonal services. They promised to come out within two weeks. That did not happen. They randomly showed up when I was not home, and didn't do everything that I had paid for in addition to the initial two / three hours of service. This is truly annoying. It will be a cold day in h*** when I use this company again. If you hire them, I recommend that you watch them like a hawk. If they try and come out when you are not home, I would refuse to pay the bill.

We have an annual contract with them. They are a bit expensive but they are fantastic. They know their stuff. We had a tree which another company said that they can't save it, but Save A Tree could save it. They are very good at communicating information. They will tell you what is going on and what they recommend.

Savatree & Savalawn (Princeton) I had a coupon from Angie's List. I had called them out for an estimate to prune a tree, and their price was kinda high for that. So, instead I am having them fertilize 2 times for me. They are also going to fertilize for me again in the Fall. Seem professional. I had no issues or problems with what they did. I do like that they email, and call you the day before they come.

They are very responsive. We had a 60 foot pine tree only 30 feet from the house that was struck by lightning and came close to falling on the house. It happened on a Saturday night, I left a message, and I got a call back within a couple of hours. An arborist came out Sunday to look at it and he had a crew here Monday morning. It had been really stormy around here so I know they were busy; he weighed how much danger the tree posed with their schedule and did the right thing.

Didn't get any response from email request via the website (though they had my information on hand when I called a week after my initial unanswered email). Gerry (arborist) was professional, called to let me know arrival time, and provided staight-forward assessment and estimate. Actual treatment of trees was uneventful. Will have to wait until next year to determine success, but happy with the process.

The work was done professionally, and the results were better than hoped for. All cuts were clean and should heal nicely, the reshaped fir looks great, and the maple as well. The area was thoroughly cleaned up before their departure. They invoiced me for the service which is convenient. My wife and I are both very pleased with the results and have other family members in-line for SAVATREE services too.

Arborist was very knowledgeable and did not use "scare tactics". They trimmed a dead branch when they cabled the oak tree at no extra charge. Final bill was mailed a few days after job was completed.

FAIL. The core problem is that the salesman contracted his company to do work outside of their business model. The issues primarily revolve around this incompetent salesman. We were working out of state in DC, so we only returned home once a month at best. The contract was signed with a down payment in February and we expected the job to take a couple of days and be done by March. It took until September for them to get their act together and complete the work. The salesman failed on so many levels. He would tell my wife that they would be out to work on the yard in a few days; I assumed that he was a professional and took him at his word. We return a few weeks later and the only thing that had been in my yard was squirrels. He gave plenty of excuses and repeatedly missed dates. When they did show up they either did partial work or none at all because the salesman had forgotten something. He was fired. Once the company then realized that this contract was still open they attempted to make good. A regional salesman and the branch manager came out to inspect the issues and had a crew out within weeks. However as the next spring rolls around, we discovered that they ultimately still missed several stumps to grind, even though we provided detail diagrams with the contract. The fact that the contract was honored kept this from being a total fail, but we still have to hire someone to come grind the leftover stumps. I doubt others will have these issues and this was probably a isolated case. If they offered to grind the stumps, I would withdraw my negative review.

We use them because they use all natural chemicals on our lawn. They have an average price. We had a situation where we had some weird fungus growing on our lawn. They came out and checked it and were able to treat it right away. They come when they are supposed to. They do a good job. We have the best lawn in the neighborhood. We will continue to use them for future service.

Dan gave me a fair estimate, and he did what he said he was going to do. He came back immediately, when he needed to. I am very pleased with his work and his professionalism. We had a LOT of work done; over 2.5 acres.

Similar trees in the neighborhood had fallen down so we needed to make sure ours was OK. The lady who came out was clearly a tree hugger and she did not charge us anything for the consultation. I am going to eventually fertilize my lawn so I will be calling her. She was very honest and I do not mind paying a little more for honesty. Her advice was very good and I am very pleased with her. I cannot remember her name, she is Scottish and from Scotland. She was a lot better than another company we had come out. She was not all about the money.

They're certainly not inexpensive, but worth every single penny. The work was done beautifully, safely, on time and without a mess. Better yet, they did such a great job on the stump, that grass regrew there perfectly the very next season! These people genuinely seem to care both about their customers and the trees. Case and point: When the guy was giving us an estimate, he noticed that our mini Japanese maple was splitting and gave us a simple and free suggestion for how to fix it. I hope I don't lose any more trees. However, if I do, these folks will be my first call. Highly, highly recommended.

WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PRETTY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE QUALITY OF WORK THAT SAVE A TREE PROVIDES. THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAVE WITH THEM IS THAT THEIR PRICES TEND TO BE A LITTLE HIGH.

THEY CLAIMED THAT THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY SERVICE FOR US TO DO, BUT I DON'T FEEL IT WAS THAT IMPORTANT. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS FAR TOO HIGH FOR THE SERVICE THAT THEY PROVIDED. I FEEL LIKE ITS TIME FOR US TO TRY A NEW COMPANY.

THIS EXPERIENCE WAS BETTER THAN MY LAST WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY. WEVE STAYED WITH THEM. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME TO DO THE REGULAR ROUTINE. THEY DO THE WORK AND THERE IS NEVER ANY PROBLEMS.
