I had a fantastic experience with Haddon Tree and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. Their rates were the most reasonable around and their work exceeded the already-high expectations I had. There was no trace that they were ever here, aside from the missing tree and beautiful trimming they did -- every speck of debris, etc. was removed when they left. They worked very quickly and were done within a few hours. A+ business all around!

It went really well and I actually referred them to my other friends. They now did works for them.

Excellent job on a very difficult removal. The tree was in a parking strip and over flower beds. The roots had grown around the sewer vent and water shut-off valve. The tree and stump were removed with no damage to the pipes or flowers. The job site was cleaner when the crew left than when they started and the ground was leveled and raked. We couldn't ask for a better job.

They did an excellent job! The cleaned up every spec of tree they could find, even the ones that fell prior to them coming out. The were punctual and professional. I would definitely use them in the future and would highly recommend them

They did an excellent job. His team was professional. The gentleman and his crew went above and beyond. They were neat, courteous and cleaned up well afterwards. It was like they weren't even there.

Came to give estimate, true to word, not a penny more, removed tree from roof, no damage to roof, fortunately, total time was less then an hour, polite, punctual totally professional, from start to finish everything that was promised was delivered, near the end of the job, we had a torrential downpour, thunder also, the stayed until clean up was complete... You never saw such action, everything was put into place, you could not even tell they had been here.... the only tree service I will use in the future...Once you have steak, why go back to hamburger....

I believe the problem was that Pat greatly underestimated the cost of the work and also underestimated the skill set needed. We gave up contacting him and went with another provider. Based on that provider, I believe Pat had underestimated the job by about $1,000. Also, he thought he could do all the work without a crane, which did not turn out to be the case. I think there are people who have been very pleased with his work. And if the work is more straightforward, then probably this is an OK company to use. However, I think it was extremely unprofessional to just ignore us and not tell us what the issues were. If he had needed to re-estimate, we could have lived with that -- but the total lack of communication is unacceptable.

Patrick responded quickly, gave us an estimate, and we immediately set up a date for the work to be done. Besides what we wanted done, Patrick made suggestions on ways he could trim and cut trees and bushes to make our property look better. We have many large trees, and some large branches hang over our house. With all the storms and rain we've had this summer and all of the branches falling in our neighborhood, we were concerned that our house would be damaged or worse. In addition, the property needed to look a lot better. I was concerned that extra work would be done that we didn't expect or want and that the estimate would suddenly increase, but that didn't happen. I was at work when the job was done. Six men came out and started working early in the morning. My husband watched them and became concerned when it didn't look like the team was working on the big trees. He called Patrick and he came out to the property. Everything we expected to be done was done, and we were so surprised at the way the property looked afterward! My husband told me I wouldn't recognize the place, and he was right. Not only was everything trimmed, but everything was trimmed and cut nicely so that the trees and bushes look better, and the entire property looks better. Of course, it is expensive to get this type of work done, and because I expected it, I gave this company an A for price because I've seen other tree companies charge as much or more, and I don't think there is much difference before and after. After the job was done, Patrick called my husband later in the day and asked if we were happy with the job. My husband said he was happy, but he would have to see if I was happy. He told me I wouldn't recognize the property. I just kept staring at everything when I came home from work. It looks better than when we moved in. I would recommend The Haddon Tree Company to anyone who needs this type of work done. The owner is responsive, professional, and courteous, and when he says your property will look great when he is finished, he isn't kidding.

I would recommend this company as we have used them twice. They are reliable, punctual, and professional. The price is worth it as they are properly insured with the proper employees and equipment. They came back to help us after another so called company screwed us over.

My experience with them was fabulous and great. They were prompt, clean and very courteous. They were perfect. Everything was just great. They did what they said they were going to do and did when they said they were going to do it.

It took a few phone calls back and forth to set up the appointment for the estimate because the owner kept calling my home phone instead of my cell phone. On the day of the field review and estimate, the owner was more than 2 hours late to arrive. He called twice during that time with revised time estimates that were not successfully made. He gave a detailed, well informed assessment of what work would be done and why. His knowledge of the tree work was impressive. We agreed upon a reasonable price and set up an appointment for the work to be performed. Two days earlier than scheduled, he called me at work, saying that the job was underway due to a schedule change on his end. I wanted to be there but that was impossible since he came early by two days. He had questions about whether he should completely remove a tree instead of trimming it, which I could not answer without being there to see. I told him to do the agreed upon work. When I came home, the trimmed tree looked like a blank telephone pole without branches. I called the owner to express dissatisfaction and he agreed to come back and remove what was left. I said clearly that given how the dates had been changed and what that tree now looked like, I did not want to pay more money to remove it. The owner graciously agreed and promised to remove the tree in question the next day at no additional charge, which he did. Bottom line: * very knowledgable and excellent at planning the work * gracious, friendly owner who is cooperative and fair * price was reasonable * all work that was performed was done excellently * communication was not up to expectations as getting return phone calls at the beginning was difficult and he was very late for the scheduled appointment for the estimate. Additionally, the work was done 2 days ahead of the appointment date, when I could not be there. * I assume that the communication problems were an anomaly and don't generally occur since the owner is very nice and cooperative in general. The actual work was excellent once issues were worked out.

The workers were so efficient! The job required removing parts of our fence, which they did and put back neatly. They were very clean and fast. Would definitely recommend them.

The owner came out and inspected the tree and provided an estimate for trimming several lower small branches. The agreed upon job was fairly small and the estimated price was provided to me verbally at approximately $400. To my surprise when I returned home on the day the work was performed, the lower branches we had agreed upon were gone as well as numerous large older growth branches higher up in the tree. I was told by the owner of the business that the larger branches needed to come out for the overall health of the tree and that they did this since they were already there doing trimming work. OK, in all fairness it is possible that removing some of the larger limbs may benefit the overall health of the tree, but the additional removal of many quite large older limbs was quite shocking and I am still trying to get used to the overall appearance of the tree now since the trimming, not to mention that the job ended up costing approximately $900 or double the initial quote. I certainly would like to have been consulted prior to the removal of so many large limbs which we never discussed during the initial assessment and price quote. Also, I had to contact the owner several times via telephone, e-mail and regular mail over the next couple of months before I finally received my report on the health of the tree. Finally, the work crew knocked over the tiki torches on our composite deck which caused a permanent unsightly stain on the deck which resisted every recommended cleaner I tried on it. When I brought this to the owners attention and showed him, he seemed unconcerned and merely stated that the stain would fade over time. My advice if you decide to use this company-get a written price quote ahead of time and get the agreed upon services in writing prior to any work being performed.

It was amazing. I wasn't home when they did the work. I came home and the trees were removed, everything cleaned up - you would never have known that the trees were there.

They came out and did a great job. They were did all of their work while my wife and I were at work, and stopped by afterwards to collect their payment. We had them trim one of our tall pine trees and another smaller dogwood. The yard looks great, as the trimming really opened up our yard. The total price was roughly $300 for the trimming, which isn't too bad, but we received other quotes for about $100 less. We chose to pay a little more and went with Haddon Tree Co. because of their high scores here on Angie's List. Overall, we are very happy with their service!

Pat and his team removed a large tree situated just a few feet from my house and garage..The team did a great job, were very professional, delivered a quality job, clean and neat and completed everything, including stump removal...promptly.I'll have them back for additional tree work and would certainly recommend them.

They were great! They were fast and efficient. They cut everything and cleaned up all the mess. They gave me a special deal because it was winter time. I called them on a Thursday or Friday and came out on the next Monday morning and were done by 2:00.

Pat is a very energetic person so be sure that you are both clear on the job expectations and final cost. I believe he outsources stump removal so that may take longer than the tree maintenance.

I called the business on Saturday, the owner called me back on Sunday morning and came over within the hour to give me an estimate. We agreed on price, and his people were there on Thursday to do the work, were finished in one-half day, and cleaned up entire yard.

I like that he's a small company and not part of a large corporation. He's very flexible and worked with what I wanted so that I got to keep some of the branches they cut down. He let me participate in the decision making process. Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.
