Description of Work: Dude showed up and said he was going to follow up with estimate and I never heard from him again even after sending text messages. If you didn’t want to do the job you shouldn’t have replied to this job. I don’t like leaving negative review but contractors need to be held accountable for behavior like this.

Description of Work: Tear off roof, replace 3 sky lights, new flashing around chimney, replace roof on main house and detached garage. Excellent workmanship, clean work site, responsive on-site supervisor. Inside repair of water damage from roof leak. Job very well done!

Description of Work: I sent a request through Angie's list for gutter cleaning. First, they asked me to re contact them, by sending another email or calling. When I did phone them, they had to have someone get back to me. Next, when they did, they said they would look at my property either in person or through Google maps to provide an estimate. I never received that estimate, then when I called today, the answering machine said they went on vacation and were closed. To me that is not good customer service.

Description of Work: Remove old roof and and sub structure (wood) as needed.Also remove soffet covers to open soffets for proper venting of attic.The previous roofer did not open the soffets he covered them with venting material but did not actually cut holes for air.Powell also used a ridge vent that was less visual than the previous vent(new one looks much smoother)All valley areas, roof edges were cover with ice snow membrane.New copper flashing used on chimney.

+ 0 moreRepresentative who came out to provide quote was prompt, courteous, and provided written quote on the spot - very reasonable price. Work did not take place for a week or two after accepting job. One gutter leader not secured properly but they came out to fix it immediately when I called. I have used other gutter cleaning companies in the past, but they send a separate crew for cleaning and a separate crew for repairs - Powell's came out and took care of everything for me all at the same time. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
Description of Work: Repaired several gutter leaders, elbows. Added leaders from top roof gutter to lower gutter; cleaned all gutters on 3200 sq. foot house.

+ -1 moreThey scheduled an appointment and they came as scheduled. The guys seemed knowledgeable and they fixed the leak, which was good. The preventative maintenance that they did actually caused a leak, but when I called them, they came out and corrected the problem. I would use them again in the future too.

+ 1 moreThey did a pretty good job. I was satisfied with their work. They were on time. They finished the job in a timely manner. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.
Description of Work: Powells Home Improvement LLC replaced the whole roofing for us in November 2010. They took the old roof off and basically redid the whole thing, put the waterproofing down, put the top plywood, put an air vent on top, put a chimney, and put a new roof on. They rebuilt everything and then put the new roof on.

+ -1 moreTheir workmanship was excellent job. We had a flood about a year and a half ago and had to bring a restoration company and they did a terrible job of re-aligning my gutters. I'm in court with them because of it. I needed to get the work done right and Powells Home Improvement did it right. They removed all the defective stuffs and replaced them with high quality material. They thought that they would finish in one day but they needed two days.

The work included removing all the debris and I can keep going on and on with the list of work but basically the roofing material and all the materials that go with it - the under-roofing, the starter material, the ice and the snow material, the caulking, the flashing, and everything that I can think of that comes with a job like that. Everything has to be addressed. I decided to go with him because he was timely when he arrived to give me the estimate. He was being very articulate exactly what he was going to do, why he was going to do it, and the product line that he represents. He presented all his documents for insurances and things like that. He told me about how the pay schedule would work and everything was set and he knew exactly what he was doing. He has been good so far.

+ 1 moreCouldn't be more pleased. Gary came out to give us an estimate to replace a detached gutter a few days prior to a predicted rainstorm. He made certain the gutter was repaired prior to the start of the rain, then returned on another day to thoroughly clean the remaining gutters and an area of collected debris in a roof valley. Very knowledgeable and professional. Offered a number of suggestions to reduce the likelihood of future leaks.
Description of Work: Replaced a detached gutter. Cleaned all gutters and removed a patch of debris from a valley on the roof.
