Description of Work: Steven is a master licensed plumber and sole proprietor. He does not hire apprentices to perform any critical work. I will not allow an apprentice to work in my house, and when I call Mainstream Plumbing and Heating, I don't have to worry about who is going to show up. The work will be performed by Steven, and the work will be flawless.

Description of Work: Several minor plumbing repairs. Steve, from Mainstream, is my go-to plumber and I have used him many times. He is always courteous and professional, is a great plumber, and likes to do jobs the "right way." He is also good at getting back to me and updating me if there needs to be a change. He may cost a little more than some, but his work and professionalism are worth it.

Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet. Due to hard water, the old faucet handles had to be sawed off. He also checked main water valve and found that due to the same hard water problem the valve can not be shut off. This is extremely important information I would have not had if not for Steven going the "extra step". I will have our water company check into the problem.

Description of Work: I called and left a message twice and explained I had a leaking pipe and the water was coming through my kitchen ceiling and I wanted to get an estimate and I got no call back. That is very unprofessional,all it takes is a phone call back to say I won't be able to come out and take a look instead of not returning a phone call.

Description of Work: I received a phone call from Steve days after I called to injure about an estimate. We spoke a bit about the issue I'm having with a bathroom that I recently remodeled. We agreed upon a date for him to come over and give me an estimate on the job. I wanted to make the trip worthwhile to him, so I e-mailed him the pictures of pipes which would have to be corrected way in advance to our appointment. On the agreed upon day, I rushed back home just to be sure I wouldn't miss him if he came at 4PM (he gave a two hour window during which he would drop by). Three hours later, and my phone call made to his company shortly before 4PM, nobody shows up. Absolute lack of professionalism. Even if uninterested in the project, I would have expected a reply to my e-mail to cancel the appointment. A true waste of time and lack of basic courtesy. For a reliable and professional service go to MarGo Plumbing. Unfortunately for me, they were unable to assist me with this specific job, but they did fix a loose faucet and drain free of charge during their estimate.

+ -1 moreI called Steven mid-morning and told him I had a leaky faucet. He was very pleasant and explained he would come over as soon as he finished another job. He arrived almost exactly when he said he would. He checked out my faucet and when he was under my sink he showed me that the shut-off valves to the faucets as well as the dishwasher were in very bad shape and would probably not work in an emergency. He showed me that they were very rusty and some pieces fell off when he rubbed his hand over them. It was very apparent that they were old and brittle and I believed him. He kept our costs down and for that we are truly grateful. Long story short-we have our new faucet and shut off valves. His work was impeccable and he cleaned up everything when he was done. We are more than satisfied and will definitely call on him again.

Description of Work: Toilet Bowl had a crack in it and caused a leak into the kitchen ceiling. The old toilet was removed and a new toilet was purchased and installed on the same afternoon.
