Family owned and operated for over 40 years. Recently after 10 years in operation we opted to no longer own the Mr. Electric of Hunterdon County franchise. We are continuing our commitment to provide high quality service and loyalty to our customers with a new division, Fletcher and Son Electrical Services, LLC. We have the same employees, ethics and values. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day. We specialize in residential and light commercial service Cost is determined by the job. No job is too small, we appreciate them all! We offer a senior citizen and military/veteran discount. Please ask our office for discount details.We service all of Hunterdon, parts of Somerset, Mercer, Morris and Warren Counties. ****Wiring is not a hobby, leave it to the professionals! This contractor does business as Mr. Electric. Initially I was concerned about using what I perceived to be a chain contractor or franchise operation, but it turned out that this is a family owned and operated local business. From the initial contact through the estimate, installation and startup, I couldn't be happier with the level of communication, the knowledge of the staff, and the quality of the installation.



The contract price was substantially lower than that of another local electrician who provided an estimate.



Mr. Electric's phone is always answered by a live person, usually a family member or a very helpful answering service. I received a confirmation phone call before every appointment, and the technicians always showed up on time. The work was completed in a professional manner and the friendly technicians were always willing to answer what were probably annoying questions.



Mr. Electric is a highly professional and well-run electrical contractor and I will definitely use them again. In fact, they'll becoming back later in the week to repair a malfunctioning attic fan.

During the hurricane, a limb hit the main powerline coming into our house and damanged the meter mast. I went on Angie's List and found three companies to provide bids.  They responded promptly to our request for a quote and followed-up to see if we had questions. (Not sure if this is the norm, but they responded to emails and at least one phone call on a weekend, which is a huge plus for those who work weekdays.)  Fletcher Electrical didn't have the lowest bid but they were local and I felt a little more comfortable based on their assessment on what needed to be repaired.  We agreed on a repair date, they came on time and finished within a few hours as they'd estimated.  In terms of the quality, it all looks good to me but given the type of work done, I don't have the expertese to grade on this metric.   Overall, I am pleased with the service and would definitely call them to bid on future jobs.

Due to the hurricane it took them a while to come out to fix our problem. But we didn't need help right away and other people did. Other times we have had very prompt service from Mr. Electric.

You certainly are able to contract your own plumber if you wish. The permit fees, however, are out of our control and are determined by the township. A generator project is a large project with many steps and site visits. We pay attention to detail and it is reflected in our price. We had approached Home Depot for a electrician to obtain a quote for the above jobs. They recommended Mr Electric. We were told that they had not received any complaints from earlier clients and that the only problem was getting the initial call. We had been to Home Depot on a Sunday, and the very next day we got a call from Mr. Electric asking if they could send someone over to have a look at the work and give an estimate. Peter from Mr. Electric arrived at home around 1 pm, had a look at the work involved and provided an estimate. He asked me to get in touch with their office to schedule the start of work. I was told the earliest possible would be on Wednesday between 8 and 12 in the morning. By 8:45 am Peter was there at our doorstep with an associate. They went about fixing the chandelier and the ceiling fan, cleaned up behind them and even carted away the empty boxes that the chandelier and the ceiling fan came in. We did not have dimmable bulbs for the chandelier and Peter did not have any either. They then drove to Home depot and got them for us. Overall it was a very satisfying and a trouble free experience for us.

It was easy to get in touch with them and make an appointment. The service person gave us an itemized bill so we knew exactly what we were being charged for. This company came out and did an excellent job for me. They took care of getting the permit that they needed and I was grateful that I did not have to do it myself. They came out on time and were clean and even the inspector said they did a very nice job.

I made the work appointment two weeks in advance, because we were having other work done and could not have the electricians working at the same time. A representative from Mr. Electric called in advance to re-confirm the appointment. We were only expecting one electrician, but two arrived at the time arranged. They were very helpful and informative. They carried a small credit card machine to even make payment easy.

Mr. Fletcher got an emergency message from us at 10 PM on a Friday night, returning our call within 10 minutes. He promised to come out the next morning (Saturday) by 8AM. He arrived at about 7:30AM, assessed the job, called in extra help, and had the job completed by 3PM. All the repair debris was cleared away before he left. Additionally, he returned later to make sure everything was progressing as it should with our rehooking to the grid. Very friendly, personable and prompt service.
