"If you are unhappy with the cleaning, we are glad to come out and redo it. You just need to call the office."
be pleased enough to continue our services at the regular price. We have a large home so the potential is great for many more windows and chandeliers, etc. a situation where the both of us may benefit.
This "deal" was for 20 windows, inside and out at half price. In total we have 85 separate windows, but 17 of those are transoms - smaller windows above other windows and doorways. Most groups will aggregate
those into a smaller number or zero them out - but because we also have a small number of larger glassed areas, I don't mind the independence as all things tend to even out. Past groups have always counted around 70 windows - some more, some less. Atlanta's Best Gutter Cleaners gave me a count of 100 - counting all transoms and upping the count on the larger windows from 1 to 3.
That was the beginning of the end. Now I was mostly interested in just having the outside completed, but with this news, I said just do your 20 windows and be done. So the 2-man crew completed the outside 20 then left without word. He
did not answer the phone number from which the courtesy call was placed, so I phoned the office. Thirty minutes later
they returned - the driver being defensive in attitude. One member came inside to complete the "20" while he lounged in the van. The "leader" finally came around after I mentioned this and they completed their chores pleasantly.
Afterwards I e-mailed two groups who had worked for us before to find out what had changed in all of this time. The first to respond was Fish Window Cleaning (fishwindowcleaning.com). Their count came to 62 total windows at $7.00 per
inside/outside window instead of the $10.00 charge of Atlanta's Best. My total finishing cost between the two groups were $280.00 vs. $800.00, so of course, I threw in the chandelier cleaning for an additional $30.00. The math doesn't lie. What is up with Atlanta's Best Gutter Cleaners?
On a parting note; no one ever called to see how we liked the work - I guess there was no need.....
We are in a duplex, so we were interested in getting fair pricing for both sides of our property, including pressure washing front/back porches and decks, cleaning all gutters, and pressure washing both driveways.
They honored the Angie's List special price for the services, and both families were very happy with the pricing, the quality of the work, and with the professionalism of the workers.
The one complaint that we had: our exterior antenna was knocked down, and wiring was left in the side yard. We didn't realize the issue until the workers were gone. So we had to reinstall and re-affix the antenna to the side of the house.
Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend the company.
"As the customer indicated, the first day that we rescheduled was due to weather beyond our control. On the second time, we had honestly just expanding to a new window cleaning crew, and though the crew could have moved forward and completed the service, they were not 100% confident in removing and reinstalling the storm windows and did not want to do anything to damage them. Their goal, which the customer failed to recognize, was to give to give the customer's windows the best care possible. They put quality and care on behalf of the customer above us making a profit. Within 24 hrs, we sent the customer an email with a new date, so the comment that they never heard from us again is, sad to say, completely untrue. This review was posted BEFORE we came out again, and once it was, I called the customer 6 times trying to reach them by phone and discuss the matter and see what customer service we could provide the situation and understand their expectations since they had given us a D review and we were still scheduled to come out and clean the windows. After sending an email, we got a short response apologizing for the review, and saying their only concern was a dissatisfaction that the crew didn't clean the windows on the second trip. I pleaded by email again to speak to the customer so I could explain the reason why, but instead we received an email that the customer had gotten a refund. We are deeply sorry about the rain the first time, and the second time the crew, which was honestly new, didn't want to do a service they didn't think would be perfect. Had we been given the opportunity, we were sending out best crew out on the third attempt and would have most assuredly gained an "A"."
"Customer purchased an Angie's List deal to clean out the insides of the gutters and downspouts. When we went out to clean the system, the system was sealed shut by a no-clog cover system. We can't remove the cover system or clean underneath it, but we have to redeem the deal because we showed up and the people have to get paid, so we did a gutter cover cleaning, which involves us blowing off the roof and the tops of the covers, clearing the area where the water gains access through the cover. That is the limit of what we could do without (1) voiding their warranty (2) ruining their covers (since we cannot reinstall those types of covers if they come off). Weeks after the cleaning, Atlanta has an extremely heavy and long rain. We get an angry call from the customer's husband on a Sunday at 6:30 PM asking us to open our business and call in staff to go to his home because water is coming into his basement. He claimed that we didn't clean the gutters, which I was giving him the benefit of the doubt for. While he was yelling at me, he never once said that he has a cover system, which would have obviously overflowed in this type of rain. I finally calm him down and tell him I'll have people out first thing the next day. I even send two crews of 5 people to his home, but as soon as we arrive, we see the covers, and know there is nothing we can do. We given him a recommendation and price for removing the covers, which is several hundred dollars, but he believes that by buying a gutter cleaning deal, which is meant to clean open gutters, he believes we should have removed every cover on his home and cleaned his system and put the covers back, which is something that would have taken an entire day and cost well over $2000 to uninstall and reinstall all the covers, and not be covered by a $79 deal. After we showed him the covers and the issues he had, the crew left. A day later, we get an email from the customer, which was odd and disturbing. It used a lot of fowl language, and had a few racist comments about the staff that came out to the home. It was a rare instance where I had to tell a customer we would never service them under any circumstances. I'm sorry about the issue they had with their system, but it was nothing we caused, and nothing we could have fixed without their approval and payment."
