SHERIDAN PLUMBING & HEATING INC.

I contacted Sheridan Plumbing after seeing an overflow of my sewer line at the curb.  I spoke with the head of their plumbing dept. (may have been owner, Kevin) and he had me contact my Township water and sewer authority to check the main in the street and explained that responsibility varied by Township.  The Township came out immediately and checked all of the mains in the street and said that they were clear.  They explained that in my Township the homeowner is responsible for the sewer line from the home to the main in the street.
I called Sheridan back and setup an appointment for the morning of the following day.  I did not discuss any pricing. I did discuss pricing with a customer of mine who owns a plumbing company in Philadelphia and they said that they charge $125 for a sewer line cleaning and $199 for a cleaning and camera inspection.   They are a large company so I was expecting approximately the same price.  Sheridan's technician came out and cleaned out the pipe from the house to the main and made sure all of the toilet lines were clear in the house.  I was not home so my wife handled it and discussed with him.  She did not get a quote prior to the work being completed.  After completion, the tech called me and thanked me for the business, told me what he did and gave me the price.  I felt that the price ($281 with tax) was high for the work completed and based on the quote that I received from my customer who is not licensed in New Jersey.  
I would use Sheridan again based on customer service and responsiveness alone but I am presently looking to remodel 2 original bathrooms (a service that they provide) and feel that there would be more competitive pricing out there.  I will make sure I get a quote next time.

We had had two other plumbers out previously who didn't know what the problem was and suggested we call a roto rooter and contact CCMUA for marking the drainage system so a snake didn't break off.  He estimated a job in clearing the sewer from the street would run about $1800.  We contacted Sheridan and had a speedy response.  The plumber arrived early in the time window we were given and quickly identified the problem.  He located the drain by the street and was able to clear it on the outside of the house without bringing the machine inside.  He was considerate of our flooring and put down a mat to prevent everyone from tracking water and debri that had flooded in the basement.  Besides making sure that all of the toilets flushed well, he made sure that the washing machine drained without problems as well as the tub sinks in the basement that had become clogged as well.  And the whole cost was only $280.  We couldn't be more pleased and grateful to Sheridan.  We will definitely use them again when we need a plumber.

The plumbers arrived within the time frame; were professional as well as courteous. They performed the work quickly and efficiently. They applied the Angie's List discount to the estimate for the work. We would definitely use Sheridan Plumbing again and will refer this company to our friends and family.

The plumber was friendly & "tightened the packing" on the main shut off valve. I consider myself a "regular customer". This was the 3rd time I used Sheridan.....all with good results.  The cost was $125.00 with a $50.00 discount..final cost $80.25.  That seemed like a lot of money for 10 minutes of work.

Josh was timely, friendly and professional and did not forget to give me the Angie's List coupon discount.  Susan coordinated my appointment. She was very professional and communicated thoroughly.  I will definitely use Sheridan again!

They just can?t schedule the job for a while now.

Sheridan Plumbing literally saved us thousands of dollars! We had a backup in our sewer system and instead of calling these guys I panicked and called another company since I knew they would be able to come out right away. BIG MISTAKE! The guy from the other company came out, saw that I was a woman who lived in a nice home, and decided to TRY to take advantage of me. He said he removed the blockage but upon inspection of our lines he told me they were in horrible condition and were about to collapse if I didn't get them replaced for $6000. I originally called Sheridan to give us an estimate on replacing our sewer lines, but after talking to Kevin we decided to have them inspect the line with their camera for a second opinion. I am SO GLAD we did because upon inspection of our lines Kevin and his team said they were in great condition with no issues at all. This is an honest company for sure. 
The entire Sheridan team is always friendly and courteous. They are always prompt for their appointments and take the time to explain what is going on. Love these guys and will be using them again in the future for any plumbing issues. We already use them for our heating and A/C and will continue to do so.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The only problem that I've had is that they don't return phone calls or e-mails very well. They were supposed to contact us in order to do a service agreement and we were supposed to get some rebates, but my husband had a difficult time getting a hold of them. We still don't have our service contract and he dropped off the rebate form about a month ago and hasn't heard back from them.

They just can?t schedule the job for a while now.

They were called to fix an obvious leak they said I did Not have. Let it continue to leak for a week which caused much more damage to  floor, wall, ceiling, they said use our adjuster only. You have a claim. They made it worse. A new plumber found and fixed leak behind wall. Insurance denied my claim. Said to Sue Sheridans. They cursed me out. Very unprofessional. They cost me thousands.

Provider showed up within estimated time, and took about 10 minutes to complete the repair. He was professional, courteous, and there were no problems. The Angie's List $25 coupon was applied (would've been $142). I guess all plumbers are higher priced than we would wish, but it wasn't a heart stopping or gut wrenching price. When I need plumbing or other work they are qualified to perform, this is whom I will use.

Greg was on time and friendly. He was able to perform the repairs in an affordable and timely manner.  He also provided great advice for future repairs.

Their responsiveness was very good. The guy was knowledgeable and he did a really nice job. It just looks really nice. And he didn't seem to oversell us on anything. We were happy with the end result.

It was clear to me that these were experienced professionals who knew what they were doing.  They were patient with me and answered all of my questions while they worked.  I will definitely be calling them in the future.

The service provider came at the time they said they would and was considerate of the fact we had company at the time. He checked out the air conditioner as well as our thermostat and was very professional throughout.

WENT VERY WELL.  WE DID LEAVE SEVERAL VOICE MAIL AND ONE EMAIL MESSAGE THE DAY BEFORE HE CAME OUT, BUT WE REACHED HIM EARLY MONDAY MORNING AND HE HAD ALL OF OUR INFO.  HE ARRIVED A FEW MINUTES EARLY, IDENTIFIED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM QUICKLY, AND REPLACED THE WAX SEAL WITH A DOUBLE WAX SEAL.  THIS STOPPED THE PROBLEM!  HE WAS NEAT, POLITE, AND QUICK - THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE LASTED LESS THAN A HALF HOUR.

I hired them to do regular maintenance on my Central Air unit.  I was very pleased with their service and their professionalism.  They are suppose to come back next week for this year's maintenance.

We bought a deal from Angies list for an AC tune up from Sheridan. When scheduling the appointment the office manager was very friendly and helpful with information. They were in the middle of creating the schedule so needed to get back to me with a time. After I called a second time they got right back to me with an appointment time and had me on the schedule. 
The day of the appointment went very smooth - the technician was running a little behind and the office manager called me to make sure it was ok. Once he arrived he was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He was honest about our AC system (we had just moved into a new house so didn't know anything about it) and did not try to sell us anything. 
I would definitely use Sheridan in the future and recommend them!

They did very well. They were very efficient, very quick, and were very good. They came out when they said they would. It was easy to deal with them. I like their thoroughness and they were clear about the filter; we already changed it and they were able to see that. They would not have changed the filter for us because they didn't have any of that size either, but as my husband has changed it, there was no problem. They told us it doesn't have to be changed. They gave us a sheet of points to grade our air conditioner, basically, saying that it was fine. I didn't go out and watched him do everything but it seemed like he's very efficient. He had a sheet for us defining everything he did and what they found. We would recommend them. In responsiveness, I'll probably give them a B because we wanted them to come out sooner but then we got a cold spot, and so they didn't come sooner because they're waiting for it to heat up again, and they didn't explain that.

Fine.  Arrived within time window.  Quickly diagnosed reason for the leak.  Efficiently removed toilet and reset it on secure base, replacing the wax ring which had deteriorated.  Checked thoroughly for any leak when job was complete.  Cleaned up.  Plumbers were skilled and courteous.

Quick response; efficient and clean work habit.

I have literally been having problems with the pipes in my bathroom leaking into my dining room ceiling for years! Everytime I thought I got it fixed, a spot would appear. Finally, I called Sheridan, as the suggestion of a neighbor. They were quick to respond, and knew right away what the problem was. They were at my house for 2 days, the workers were professional and pleasant. They explained exactly what the problem was. They were neat and careful. Most importantly, I have not had one leak since they fixed it. Thank you, Sheridan Plumbing!!!

I had some problems with this company not their work but, how they treated people. It has been some time since I used these guys but, Angie's list keeps sending me emails to rate this company. They did the work I thought $200.00 to move a gas line was a little pricy the whole job took about maybe 10 minutes if that. I think I got a discount because I am an Angie subscriber. I problems I had with this company was how they thought of their customers, I spoke with the owner and we got that all ironed out, he did apologized and he proceeded to do the work. Would  I hire them again maybe, I said yes because there wasn't a "maybe" option.

Polite and responsive in terms of the quote.  We are likely to hire this company to conduct the work.

Job was completed quickly and satisfactorily.
