Such a long story. My mother & I live in Florida, her furnishings that needed to be moved were in Pennsylvania (where her parents live), as they were being stored there. We needed to move her furnishings from Pa to Fl. My mother arranged the quotes and thought the best was with Radius. I was the financier. My mother arranged the time frames for the move with Radius. So we booked flights to Pa to be there for the movers when they arrived. Little did I know that a sales team, completely unrelated to the actual movers or schedulers, were who finalized all of this with my mother. Movers were scheduled to arrive on a Monday, we were to receive a call Friday with the time frame that we could expect them. Friday comes and no one calls us, so I call the office and get voicemails, left several. Finally we get a hold of someone who seems confused about our scheduled move and we get a time frame that a driver will call us Monday morning. Monday comes and we get no phone call, so by 10:30 AM I am once again calling the main office, as well as emailing. The rest of the day was dealing with calls with the truck driver who kept lying to us on time frames for when they would arrive. One of the calls was on 2pm Monday telling us the truck was in a traffic jamb and was unsure of arrival time. Long story short, the truck arrived at 10:30 PM to load a house full of furniture!! This all concluded at 12:15 AM!! My mother and I had to be on a plane very early the next day, so this became quite stressful. Additionally I was told by the driver that she could not accept a check, which differed from what the person at the office (sale team) told us. Due to the late hour I was unable to get over $800 in cash, so they HAD to take my check. We went through the same ordeal on arrival time estimates for the drop off in Florida. The truck driver calling and lying to us about approximate times they would be at the house. We were told the truck would arrive between 8-12, the truck ACTUALLY arrived at 4:30 PM! The goods arrived in mostly good shape considering their process. They pick up in a smaller box truck. Then they bring that box truck to a location where is it unloaded, then loaded on a 18 wheeler for the long haul. THEN when they go out on delivery, your stuff is on the truck with other peoples stuff, and often has to get unloaded at the delivery location & reloaded, if the stops are not coordinated properly. For example, when my mothers load arrived, they had to unload someone else's stuff to get to hers, and in doing so, broke someones vanity mirror! TERRIBLE process! All in all she had a security box that never arrived, and we never got back. YES, we were at our own risk to allow them to transport a security box, so bottom line is too bad, so sad for us. Unfortunately the inventory list was vague when determining if the security box had a number or label. I blame this on the late hour of the loading back in Pa. I had lengthy communications with someone named Michelle at Radius. Where I could not prove the black box even made it on the truck, so we lose in this matter. One of her first communications to me was that I would be provided a compensation form, for my inconvenience, which she NEVER followed through with. I would never want someone else to go through this terrible process. As far as the google reviews go- all I can say is, it must be local moves that they are more successful on, or they are rigging the reviews somehow. One last note, when the movers arrived, and they were great, at the end, they sort of forced me to participate in a video on saying my experience was great with Radius, of which afterward, I felt very uncomfortable with. The movers were great (sub contracted I am sure) but the whole experience associated with Radius, I would not wish on anyone!
