Excellent! The guys were professional; they were held up for 15 minutes getting supplies- and the office called ahead to tell us. I have never had that happen before with another company. We ALWAYS get a call from either the office or the technician who is coming out when they are on the way or if there is any kind of delay. I don't really call 15 minutes late, but they apologized and gave us an ETA. Joel and Mike told us what was happening the entire time they were at the house which was from 5-6 hours, they showed us and told us things that had been happening with our old system and how our new system would fix those issues. We always learn something about what they are doing when they're at our house, and I love that about them. I like to know what is going on in my house and can't get up into my attic anymore, so I was glad that they told us abut what was happening (and that we spent the extra for a UV light- I have bad asthma and allergies) and showed us the mold on our unit in the attic! I was mortified and SO glad they showed us what had been happening up there and why. They fixed the problem even though they didnt have to) and with the UV light it wont happen again. Everyone we have ever dealt with is super nice and down to earth, not obnoxious salesmen like we have dealt with in the past. Our new system rocks and is sooooo much better than our 22 year old AC system. We thought it was going to be horrible losing our AC in August and that it would take a week or two to get a new system installed. Wrong! Steve came out on Friday and the guys showed up Tuesday morning to install the new AC, It works even better than we thought it would.

Called in the morning to setup an appointment. The person who answered the phone stated that the cost to come to the house would be $49.00. If I wanted the job done they would wave this cost. Brian came and gave me 3 estimates. The job in the bathroom consists of replacing a shower cartridge and a broken plastic handle. Brian stated that the permanent fix would be replacing the wall plate as well as the other parts. The cost was well over $1600.00 . The second option was replacing only a couple of parts.This cost was over $650.00. The 3rd option was a bandaid fix . Replacing the cartridge and knob for $300.00 I told Brian that these prices were outrageous for what needed to be replaced. He then spoke about Special rates if I sign up for a yearly service contract for either a/c or heating systems. I would receive a discount on his original estimates. I said that this is just like A J. Perri. He explained that the high cost is because of their 24 hr emergency services. I told him that I didn't call in an emergency. 2 other things to mention: First, Brian spoke so fast that I told me to slow up, which he couldn't. Second, I felt that this company low balls their customers. Inexpensive to come to your home, but super expensive to do repairs. I called GPS in edison. The cost of the moen possie cartridge was $65.00 and the cost of the plastic knob was $8.50..

The provider found that one of the circulating pumps on the furnace was not working. They told me the cost to fix it would be $840 plus the $90 I had paid for the diagnosis. I complained because I felt the $90 should have been deducted from the cost of replacing the pump and was told they would not do that.
I called another provider I found on Angie's List. They quoted me a price that was almost $200 less than Good Tidings. They came and replaced the pump and did an excellent job.

As a returning customer, we were extremely disappointed in the most recent service provided by Good Tidings.  We recently purchased a home and first contracted Good Tidings to complete a dishwasher installation and kitchen faucet install (~$1400).  The overall service on this call was great which led us to recommend Good Tidings to many of our local family members and neighbors. 
Good Tidings was our first call when we had a new problem--a blockage in our kitchen sink which led to a some overflow in our adjacent bathroom tub.  A different tech came to service this problem and although he cleared the kitchen sink blockage, he created a complete disaster in our bathroom-- the pressure of the cleaning caused an "explosion" of gunk under our bathroom sink which he definitely noticed (an attempt to wipe down whatever had happened is very obvious on white cabinets).  He failed to inform us of the mess and left us to find it for ourselves.  We had to throw out all my daughter's bathtub toys because they were covered with gunk and shortly after noticed there was now a leak in our bathroom pipe caused by the service.  We immediately called Good Tidings and told them of the situation...they apologized and told us they will have a technician out ASAP to take care of this free of charge (they told us we would not be charged on TWO occasions).
Fast forward two days and a new tech comes to take care of the problem the first tech caused.  His ONLY response/solution is that we need to pay another $385 for a new bathroom pipe.  We immediately deny this "new" service and he proceeds to stand in our kitchen calling his manager and then his owner to try to get us a "deal" (which was a $30 discount).  We were more astonished that this tech failed to acknowledge the mess that the other technician created for us and the only reason he is here is because we want the first service fixed.  *Remember-- customer satisfaction is 100% in their books*  Complete joke!  We tell him AGAIN that we are not interested, but instead of trying to fix the situation, he tells us fine, and that we need to pay another service fee--even after we were told two times that we would not be charged because we are fixing the mess of the first service call.  After more back and forth, we paid the service fee just to get this man out of our house.  Good Tidings completely let us down and lied to us twice about its commitment to service.  They could not care less about its customers--new or returning.  I highly recommend to stay away from this business.

I woke up to no heat. I called Good Tidings about 6:30 in the morning. I received a call back by 7:15am and they were at my house by 8:00am. Justin was the technician and did a great job. He is very professional, pleasant and explained everything to me before he actually did any work. He did a diagnostic and gave me 3 different options. He then did the work immediately and I was extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this company.

Provider was initially responsive.  Made an appointment to send someone on the weekend to provide an estimate.  Window for arrival was between 1pm and 3pm.  At 2pm, their office called to say that the technician was stuck at a job - would likely be there around 4pm.  4pm came and went.  At 5:30pm, I called the office to obtain status - they said he'd arrive within 30-45 min.  I was perturbed, having already waited at home since 1pm on a Saturday.  Finally, at 7:30pm, he showed up.  No apologies for the delay, nothing.  He provided an estimate for twice the amount of any other estimate we received.  Then he handed us a bill for $49 plus tax.
There is no way I would ever hire this company.

The employee who came to do our job was very professional and friendly and explained the details of the job well.

It went great. It started off with a fix to a part that was broken on my old furnace. Tom came as scheduled and completed the repairs quickly. He reviewed the problem and the solutions as well as informed us that based on the age of the units he recommended replacement in the near future. The repairs he did gave us heat for a few days before the unit finally gave out. Justin then came to rescue us on a Sunday and reviewed the possible fix or replace options. We decided to replace and he reviewed all of our options. Once we settled on the price and date he left us with space heaters so we could make sure our 9 month old daughter was comfortable overnight. The date of the replacement Steve and John showed up on time and quickly got to work. (They had one other guy with them, but I don't recall his name.) The work was completed that day and Steve even set my thermostat according to our household schedule. They cleaned up the mess that they made installing the new units and made sure we completely understood everything about our new units before they left. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the service these guys provided. Prompt service, courteous and knowledgeable service specialist will keep me coming back!

These guys will gouge you if they can. Do your homework! I wish I did. They charged me  $950 for an hour and a half?s work to install a $230 pump on our boiler. I called to complain after finding the cost of the pump online and have been ignored (this was more than 2 weeks ago).

This is the second time my wife and I have used Good Tidings and I continue to be impressed. The level of professionalism starts with the initial phone call and ends with them rolling up their doormat as they leave. Brian has been the "lead" technician both times and typically is assisted by another employee. They are always on time (typically an hour before the estimated time quoted), explain everything in GREAT detail, and even provide several options for the repairs. I had searching for a reliable plumber and now I know my search is over!

Tom K. from Good Tidings came for a scheduled appointment to tuneup the furnace/boiler.  He came on time and was professional, courteous and cleaned the work area when he was complete.  We have had Good Tidings out on other plumbing issues and have not been disappointed with the work they provide.  Definitely will continue to use them for our home heating, plumbing, etc.
The are also available weekend and holidays at no extra cost.
