Allied Construction, LLC is the leading Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® company in New Jersey. We help homeowners make their houses safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more energy efficient. Allied delivers quality through training and experience. Our commitment to training runs through all parts of the organization and it allows us to reliably deliver the latest technological advancements to our customers. Our experience comes from a large volume of diverse projects involving both residential and commercial buildings. At its inception, Allied Construction, LLC focused on private sector commercial projects, including tenant fit-ups and design/build arrangements. Backed by over 100 years of collective experience, the company was formed with a singular commitment to provide our customers with high quality, cost effective, on-time construction services. As our client base grew, much of this work began to include state and federal funding and the energy efficiency mandates that come with it. As we embraced the value inherent in this approach, our goals evolved to include providing comprehensive energy efficiency retrofit services to both commercial and residential customers. Today, 99% of the projects Allied Construction, LLC pursues leverage state and utility incentive programs for funding and financing. And every project includes a permit and the appropriate inspections from local code officials. By continually following the basic principles of quality, cost effectiveness, hands-on management and on-time services, ALLIED has grown into an industry leader in the areas of construction management and home performance.

company since everything is still in warranty, we were told that they are able to send people over in 5 days. Be on such kind of hot weather, we can get service after 5 days, plus the new installation is only working for a week or so. Who is going to trust and use this company?
The problem is not only the quality of the job, but the attitude of how company servers customer after company's problem is reported.
Do you still want to use this company?
"We would like to apologize for the experience you had with our company. We always look to provide exceptional service for our thousands of customers. After a thorough review of our records, it seems we were able to get out to your home much sooner than the five days you stated. We would like to make up for any inconvenience we may have caused you. We do not want any of our customers left anything but satisfied. We value your business and hope to retain you as a customer for many years to come."
"Thank you for choosing Allied we appreciate your business and feedback."
This was the worst Installation Job you can imagine. Two letters were written to the company about the poor workmanship. Contact with federal agencies regarding the illegal discharge of Freon by Allied Construction workers was reported. Contact with NJNG regarding the issues has also been reported. Below are bullet points of the problems I had. there is not enough room in the box to give all the details:
- Did not bring their own tools to the site. Utilized mine then argued with me on who's tools they were.
- Over 50 screws found in my driveway. they did not clean up after themselves
- Water leak through the roof. They placed a flat piece of tin on the roof for the vent pipe to go through.
- Purposely did not install the sump pump correctly and caused my Laundry room to flood. Yes Purposely.
- Two (2) Natural Gas Leaks because they did my use pipe dope (sealant) on the black gas pipes during the install
- Had to re-pipe venting for the Furnace and Water Heater three (3) times. Each time vinyl siding and other repairs had to be made. They could not get it right.
- Had to return 3 times to properly insulate the attic.
- Attached the electrical line to the gas line against Construction Code
- Installed a clothes dryer vent improperly causing a fire hazard. Never used the clamps during install. I have dryer lint all over the rear of the dryer.
- Accidentally cut my speaker wires and never told me
- Attempted to replace my white vinyl siding with beige siding and tell me that is the only color they had.
- Failed inspection for plumbing. Improperly had the discharge pipe exiting the house.
- Failed the inspection by Rheem representatives for the work performed. Rheem is the company that makes the furnace and A/C unit. They sent reps out from their company to do an inspection on the work and the work failed their inspection.
This is the cliff notes of the two (2) letters, three pages a piece regarding the poor work completed at my house. Feel Free to contact me for further details.
"We would like to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our company. The president of the company will be reaching out to you privately to resolve this matter to your satisfaction. We value you as a customer and wish only for you to be 100% satisfied with our services."
The process was painless. They worked with the state to get $5,000 rebate as part of the NJ Energy Star program. Basically, this allows a $15,000 job to cost us $10,000. Their normal program/business model involves a 10 year loan, but we paid cash upfront instead. We tried to negotiate based on time value of money, but in their business model, they are not the recipients of that benefit (they get cash upfront from the lender and the interest on the loan is paid by the state), so that did not work. That aside, we felt $10,000 was a great deal for everything we were getting in this project.
The Allied representative told us it would take 1 to 2 days. They arrived on time at 8 am and got the installation done in one day, leaving by 4 pm. A crew of 6 or 7 men showed up (3 insulators and the rest HVAC installers). They were all very professional and polite and left the house as neat as it was before they started.
The dryer was sticking out a bit too much after they replaced the vent duct with rigid venting, so I pushed it back and messed up the connection. When we used the dryer, the moist air escaped into the room. I called them and told them what happened. They came right back out and reconnected it much more securely, apologized profusely, and when I told them I planned on replacing the flooring soon for aesthetic reasons, they also offered to come back and reconnect the dryer any time I wanted.
Two township inspectors came to inspect the work - one for HVAC, the other for insulation and everything passed with flying colors.
Great job, Allied! So glad you knocked on my door when I was looking to replace my air conditioning.
"Thank you for your review we greatly appreciate your business and look forward to working with you again in the future."
"We appreciate your feedback. We aim to provide a comprehensive quote."
"We apologize for showing up early, this is against our company policy. In our attempt to serve you better we have since made positive changes internally, which included improving our sales team through additional training and reorganization. We value all of our customers and we hope you will consider giving us another chance."
