Apex Appliance Repair & Air Duct Cleaning has been serving Northern, Central & Southern NJ for over 30 years, we are a small family owned and operated company that takes pride in everything we do. With locations in Barnegat, Monroe Twp. and Morristown, we cover all of New Jersey. We repair refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and stoves. We are experts at Dryer vent cleaning, Chimney cleaning and Whole house air duct cleaning. We offer expert clothes dryer vent cleaning and venting system repairs. We also remove bird nests, stubborn clogs and we install exterior vent hoods. We are certified by The Chimney Institute of America and are experts in the field. We specialize in disconnected pipes hidden in walls and ceilings. We also offer whole house air duct cleaning; the inside of your home’s air quality is very important to maintain. We will clean the entire system with a HEPA vacuum which will keep your family breathing healthier. In addition, we clean fireplace chimneys and fire places. Excellent. They showed up on time, were very professional. My dryer has never worked this well. And I've had another company come and clean the dryer vent less than a year ago. Air duct cleaning is great!! No nore sneezing everytime the heat/air come on. Very pleased and VERY reasonably priced. Will use again for sure. NR

Raymond was punctual, very thorough, knowledgeable, and attentive to my questions. After we discussed the pros and cons of repairing or replacing, I decided to replace the 18 yr. old glass cooktop. I appreciated that I didn't feel any pressure to do the repair. I would definitely call Apex again.

I scheduled service for between 11-3. At 2;15 , I called the office to make sure the technician was still coming and was told he would be there by 3. Thereafter, the technician texted that he was on his way. At 3;15, I called the office and was told that the technician said no one was home so he left. I informed the office that I live in a one floor condo and that he never rang the doorbell and that both Fedex and Amazon rang the bell right before he was scheduled to come and I was very much home. I asked why he would not have called me before leaving and the office personnel very rudely said " well he text you, so why would he call you" . I asked to speak to a manager and was told " you can't:" and that the technician would not return . I was very upset because I had scheduled my day around this service call. When I asked the office when this person would be rescheduled, he said " we will not" and hung up the phone!!! It was bad enough that they never showed up, but this rude and awful customer service was the icing on the cake!!!

"It is obvious that something did not go right, but the way you make it sound it was entirely our fault. We spoke on the phone for 30 minutes and we made a special appointment date on Saturday to return to help the situation, we did exactly what you instructed us to do, and you still wrote a BAD Review. We TEXT you 30 minutes before coming to your home, which you instructed us to do, WE then knocked on your door and rang your door bell, and still WE DID NOT GET AN ANSWER from you, until our technician left your home, 30 minutes later. when you called the office in a RANT. We followed your directions and even showed up without getting your phone response. You were absolutely rude, and full of demands to the point we could no longer be scolded any longer and my customer service team member ended the call. It is unfair that you are not taking responsibility of not answering your phone or door."

Everything was smooth; Apex' personable expert arrived on time and offered a quick inspection, along with some helpful explanations about how to best use our dryer and gas fireplace (we had just moved in). Nothing needed serious cleaning, so he wrote up the inspection certificates needed for our HOA and then dropped the price from the deal we had agreed to through Angie's List ($160) to $95. Who else does that? We'll definitely be calling Apex for our future Appliance needs!

My washing machine started making a ridiculously loud noise when in the spin cycle. (Kind've like a freight train) Anyway, the machine kept working fine so I'd just closed the door & ignore it. This past Tues. my dryer started making a high pitched screeching sound. Eek! Not something to be ignored. I went on Angies List & saw all the good reviews Apex has gotten so gave them a call on Wed. We set an appt. for Sat. between 10 and 2. Ray showed up around 11. Went straight to work on the dryer. Listened to the noise & was immediately able to diagnose it was something called an idler wheel. Took the whole dryer apart, cleaned it, put in the new thingamajig, closed it up & voila, it worked like new. On to the washer. My washer did not have such a happy ending. Ray said it couldn't really be fixed. (Probably cheaper to buy a new one) But he also told us it could keep on working fine for a while, if we could put up with the noise. (No problem) And to keep an eye out for any leaking, which would be our cue it was time to replace. I was very happy with the service we got. Very professional & honest. Would definitely use again.

Appliance was evaluated and I was told cost of different repairs (based on possible problems) . Given the age of the fridge (16 years) and prior issues it had, I opted to replace it. (he did arrive with the necessary parts for the most likely problem) I wanted an honest evaluation of the appliance and the likely repair costs - I got exactly what I wanted.

I scheduled a dryer vent cleaning for my condo and also requested a diagnostic for problems I was having with my washer/dryer unit. Ray came out and did my cleaning and gave me an honest review about the issues I was experiencing with my washer/dryer. Very much appreciated his honesty; hard to find nowadays! Excellent. Two men, one was the owner, were punctual and efficient. They removed all the registers and replaced them and vacuumed any resulting dust. They took before and after photos. They also checked out the furnace and humidifier and cleaned the dryer vent. I do not recall the charge but it was reasonable.
