I left a rave review after this remodel was completed, but unfortunately I've been taken and left high and dry by this contractor. The cabinets he recommended, Fabuwood, are complete junk. The hinges are terrible and the doors are literally falling off the cabinets. the joints are clearly visible, the soft close drawers and doors do not even close. I noticed this stuff shortly after the completion of the job but it has taken literally years to get to this point with Matt. Last time he was over he said he'd get in touch with the guy who sold the cabinets to come and see if we could make a warranty claim. That was months ago. And the list goes on. When I questioned before the job was completed why they didn't paint my new back door with the rest of the trim he said, "it's already the same color." It is clearly not, it is a primer gray while the rest of the trim and cabinets are white. He installed my pantry door and glued a wire rack onto it and it has fallen off. Two doors he ordered were the right swing direction but when they came in he said they weren;t and chopped up the door jambs and hinges to make them what he thought was the right swing. My tile is cracked and chipped. The pocket door he installed has been jambed open since the day he left my home. Everything was extra. I bought the appliances, sink, faucet, cabinet hardware, countertop, floor tile, and wall tile. I paid over $30,000.00 for the worst junk you could ever imagine. The doors are literally falling off! Once Matt is gone he's GONE!!!!!!!!! I was deployed to a combat zone for nine months and came back with the money to do my kitchen after ten years in my home. What a waste. I want to cry every time I walk into that room. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR!!!!!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Mary Colberg, Toms River. Feel free to call me, I'm listed.
"It is disappointing to hear a previous and repeat customer [Member Information Removed] these things to say about the service I provide. This situation is also confusing to me. I would like to mention this job was performed close to 4 years ago and we were called back to the house to remodel a bathroom close to 2 years after kitchen was done. Why was I rehired if I provided such a bad service. I would [Member Information Removed] taken care of any issues while working on the bathroom. I was aware of a few of these issues. The [Member Information Removed] time I spoke with this client I [Member Information Removed] the house and did two tiolet repairs for free. I was in process of getting cabinet rep out to house. A few weeks later this review was produced. I [Member Information Removed] behind my work and I am always willing to fix any issues with in reason. I work 10-14 hrs 6 days a week and try to [Member Information Removed] time with my family. I will admit I can forget things from time to time. A phone call could of resolved these issues but the choice was made to negatively portray my business and affect my livelihood and how I support my family. This is the only negative review in close to a decade from someone I've actually worked for. I hope my record speaks for itself."
