Terrible I was told two weeks and now it’s been four months. Atrocious business wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Tried to pick up my two end tables which I paid 600$ for upfront, upon arriving I was told I need to Pay an additional 220$ to get my end tables that I paid 600$ for. I will never recommend or go there again I will only tell people the Horrendous time I had with these scam Artist.

On 3/23/19 I ordered an upholstered chair and hassock ($1000.00)from Michael's Furniture and was assured it would be in by 4/15/19. When it was not, I asked to borrow the floor model until my chair came so my company would have something to sit on as I got rid of my old furniture. The floor model was somewhat soiled and damaged in the back, but would do for the time being. When my new chair came in Michael refused to give it to me stating I had signed for the floor model so that was the one I now owned, and I had caused the damage myself. I am 74 years old and walk with a cane. So the hassock finally came in. I went over to pick it up, an employee got it from the stockroom, loaded it into my trunk and I drove home. About a half hour later I answered my door to find a secretary and salesman named Shaun from Michael's Furniture demanding to come in and repossess my new hassock! That they had me on tape stealing it, and unless I gave them $150.00 they were calling the police and have me arrested. Shaun was pacing really fast, waving his phone around yelling I was a thief, he was calling the police on me for stealing. He was very red in the face, sweating thru his shirt and screaming so loud that my neighbor came to her door. I live in a gated community and have no idea how they got in. I was very shaken and so upset by Shaun's frightening behavior I wrote the check for $150.00. Shaun laughed like a maniac and finally left. I have been to the Lakewood police and the Ocean County prosecutor to file complaints of harassment and trespassing. I will also be going to small claims court to try to get the chair paid for. Michael's cannot get away with this sleazy, slimey dishonest behavior with impunity. STAY AWAY!

Michael and his salesman are absolute liars and bullies. They're friendly as can be, as long as nothing goes wrong. But as soon as there is a problem—especially if they make a mistake—the outright lies, hostility and bullying come out. The long and short of it is that the salesman lied to us, we fell for it, and the owner refused to do anything about it and got downright nasty. We were told a specific sofa would be perfect for us with our pets, and that even if we did have problems we could return it. Not only did we have problems immediately, but Michael denied everything and refused to take the furniture back. He got so ugly that at one point he was calling my husband names and making threats against us. All for a lousy $959. Well you know what, we certainly got what we paid for. We got a "great deal" on terrible furniture and even worse, abhorrent customer service. No one, and I mean no one, should ever by treated that way by someone they're doing business with. So if you're in the market for furniture, I say run the other way, run far away. Or at the very least, do your research. Not even just online, but talk to your neighbors. You won't believe how many other people have had similar, terrible experiences with Michael. It's shameful. I wish I had known before giving him my business.

Shopped all over incl Raymour & Flannigan, Value City, Squan Furniture...and Michaels blew them all away. We found out about them from our contractor that recommends all of his clients to go there, and found they can get everything that all of those other stores have but at better prices. We had items picked out that we wanted from shopping around and we saved thousands. The service we got was good everywhere, but the owner Michael spent about 3 hrs with us helping us nail every detail down and we couldn't be happier. I can't stand shopping so I'm glad I won't have to ever go from place to place looking for a deal on furniture, I'll just go straight to Michael's and will know I'm getting the best right off the bat.

Purchased the tables. Was told they would take 3 days to receive them, it took 5 days. Picked them up, brought them home. Opened the box. They were in 8 PIECES ! Furniture purchased was not assembled ! Called store they told me "Oh sorry we did not tell you " and hung up.

What happened next, was a nightmare.We agreed to go to his store, and choose a different dinette set, which we did..Salesman named JOE, was very pushy. and told us new dinette would be delivered in 3-4 weeks of purchase, never writing this on new contract..Of course, this delivery was never made..after calling store several times, we finally got a call, saying that set would hopefully be here by Thanksgiving, which never happened..then we were told by Beth, in his office, that "maybe" set would be here by Xmas..We went to AMEX again and reopened dispute, and would you believe, by "some miracle" Michael called & left a message that set was ready for delivery..After talking with our attorney, and Michael Guarino's attorney, we decided to accept furniture..But,in the future, I recommend that anyone looking to buy furniture, STAY AWAY FROM MICHAEL'S FURNITURE IN BRICK, N.J...
Description of Work: Michael was extremely rude, screaming like a nutcase, refusing to take back damaged dinette set, wanted to repair Brand New Dinette..this was not acceptable to us..Finally, after we contacted AMEX, .he decided to replace dinette..We then realized that this furniture was of poor quality, so we requested our money back.. Michael Guarino (the owner) absolutely refused to refund our money..

Description of Work: When we came to a price on a sectional sofa and 2 chairs, he told us the order had to go out on the "5 PM truck" or it could take a month or more. |I doubt there was such a thing as a "%pm truck" and was insulted that he thought we were so gullible. That caused to deal to not go through as I couldn't trust them

The true test of a great company is how they react to problems. Our first dealing with Michael was about 2 years ago when we bought a living room set and everything went perfectly. We went back again last month for a bedroom set. Not seeing anything we wanted in the store, we ended up ordering from a catalog. After delivery, we came upon several disappointing issues that were not noticeable from the catalog. We notified Michael and, after discussing the issues he immediately and happily offered an exchange. And even more impressive was the fact that, since we paid a delivery charge for the initial order, he did not charge anything extra to pick up the old set and deliver the new one. Finding a store owner that works hard every day to earn the trust of his customers is so rare. Michael deserves the confidence and respect of everyone looking to buy furniture.

They were very good. They had a sales person in the store who thoroughly helped us. They coordinated color, talked about fabrics, Tina was very helpful in informing us on how to make our decision. She even suggested colors for our window treatments. This was not our first time purchasing from them.
