At the time of installation, Al and his son Kody worked together and and did a remarkable job. The old windows were removed and the new ones installed. They cleaned up and showed me how to operate the windows. I definately will recommend Dura Plex to my family and friends.

Although I was told on the phone they could look at all of the items that we need repaired - the provider just wanted to sell us a new roof and wasn't interested in the other items that we need repaired.
After this provider gave us a $6,000 estimate - we had another company listed on Angie's List come out who gave us an estimate of $675 which included the other items that we need repaired. BIG DIFFERENCE!
I wouldn't recommend this company based on our experience.

work was excellent and we have received numerous compliments on the projects. crew came on time and clean-up was through. they back up their work if you have a problem. one negative is they do not work on Saturday so start your project with adequate time if rain is expected.
.The problem I had with this experience overall was with the installers they use. My installer came about a week after the representative to get measurements and told me, very confidently, it would take him two days to install. I was very surprised it would only take two days and challenged him on it because he was going to work alone and there were 21 windows, some of these windows were very large but he assured me that he has been doing this a long time and this was an easy job. The first day he arrived, he installed 5 windows(the smaller ones)...you do the math - 21 windows/5 = 4 days of work. Now I'm worried. He tells me he'll bring a friend to help the next day. Who is this friend? Is he licensed? This isn't what we discussed. I believe they worked from 6:30am until 9:30 that evening. As you can imagine this was a mad rush to get all of these windows installed, dropping things, breaking things, pulling windows out and moving on to other windows before replacing the one that was removed. This all made me feel uneasy that theses wouldn't be installed properly. Before he leaves, he tells me that he needs to order two parts for me when he gets back to the office - I understand, things like this happen. My parts arrived about a month later(mid-November) and were just installed (mid-January). The hold up was due to the fact the installers they use don't work weekends (I thought this was a poor economy?) and they sometimes decide not to show up for work. The person who installed my parts was a gentleman that works in the office that understood my frustration and decided to show some initiative.
If they hire professional and reliable installers I may decide to use this company again because they have good product - well, at least it seems to be 3 months later. We'll see how it is on a year.

They gave estimates and recommended the door/windows from their stock provider. This was not what I initially wanted but I took their recommendation and I am so glad that I did.

"Our records indicate that the customer entered into a window contract for 13 windows on August 4, 2005, and a roof contract on July 12, 2006. On July 23, 2009 customer called concerning a leak near a skylight. On July 28, 2009 our service tech sealed around customer’s skylight and 1 window. On October 15, 2009 customer called concerning another leak; our roofing tech again sealed the skylights. On March 23, 2010 another skylight leaked, Dura-Plex Inc. sealed the skylight. Customer was informed at this time that the skylights were old and needed to be replaced. An estimate with an explanation was sent to customer on March 26, 2010. Dura-Plex Inc. did not install any skylights. The roof is not leaking the skylights are leaking. Dura-Plex Inc. understands customer’s frustrations. To insinuate that we are predators on senior citizens is not fair. The owners of Dura-Plex Inc. are themselves seniors, and have been in this business for 39 years. Dura-Plex Inc. is willing to work with the customer in resolving the issue. If customer is willing, we will have our roofing company contact him. He can deal directly with him which will reduce much of the cost."
