This company previously did two projects in our home. I requested that they, along with others, come to quote a bathroom and kitchen remodel. Appointment was made. Johnny called on the day and changed it from 11 am to 4 pm. I had to rearrange MY day, which I did. He never showed up, nor did he call to say he was held up or had to cancel. When they did our first project about 5 years ago, it was a young company and he was eager for the work. On the second job, they were less attentive. Last week, he just didn't bother to show up or call. I think it says it all.

Venegas team were always puntual. The work was completely on time and with beautiful craftsmanship. Consistent workers on site. Weekly check by team leader. Looking forward to planning future jobs.

I hired Venegas this spring and the experience was wonderful. Johnny is a man of his word who shows up on time and is responsive to all of your questions and concerns. His crew is extremely professional and skilled. All work was done in a timely and craftsmanlike fashion. You will probably find contractors who charge less, however, the little bit extra you pay with Venegas is well worth it. I have dealt with numerous contractors over the years and Johnny is without a doubt the most professional, friendly, honorable, and responsive one out there. You can call or text him at any time and he will respond promptly. I will hire again.

We were extremely gun shy. We had hired another contractor before, who just didn't show up for three months, always promising to start work tomorrow. When they did show up, they were supposed to replace some fixtures in the basement bathroom, but instead they gutted our basement to the studs and ran off with our deposit. Once we had the courage and the money to try again, we found Johnny to be calm, courteous, and professional. His men (many of them his brothers) are the same. There was always a foreman on duty, who spoke fluent English and could discuss the next steps with me, and work through any change orders. They showed up when they are supposed to, and did the work they are supposed to and were always willing to lend a hand or give advice on the projects I was working on. If there is a change order, Johnny would send it promptly and then incorporate it into the main contract so that we always had a consolidated view of what we were spending. His office is responsive as well, efficient and organized. My neighbors have told me that my roof raises their property values, and I want to spend all my time in my beautiful sun room. We were very unlucky the first time we tried our renovation, but that terrible experience did lead us to Johnny Venegas, so in the end I consider us very lucky indeed. The work was completed on-time, for a reasonable amount, and the result is beautiful.

Johnny Venegas is prompt and reliable when he provides a quote. He emphases the expected costs and any potential change orders that may be required as the true scope of the work is revealed (as often happens in an old house). His company has done numerous projects around my house and I am always satisfied with the results. They understand attention to detail, and will discuss the nuances of the scope of work prior to commencement.

The crew was thorough and professional. Job was on time and as promised. They were able to repair some badly weather windows that would have cost me thousands to replace. I would definitely hire them again!

EIt went extremely well. The contractor used clamps to eliminate the separation. The workers used blocks beneath each step to reinforce support. The steps now feel sturdy and there is no longer any squeaky noises when one walks up and down the stairs.

Johnny and his team are simply the best. We expanded our living room into space that used to be an enclosed porch, which included tearing the porch completely down and rebuilding it. We also added a half bath, laundry room, and entryway. They also did work outside including adding stone to the front of the house, rebuilt the front steps, and did siding repair on the side of the house where we had a window closed up. The communication with Johnny was excellent. He was at the job site very frequently (usually daily) to check on the work and was always very responsive when we called him. We had a few unforeseen problems come up (as expected with a 100 year old home) and he had sensible and creative solutions that worked. He was also great about talking through ideas that we had to let us know if they would be feasible from a construction standpoint. It was clear that he wanted us to be happy with the results and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with the work that was done. His team was warm and friendly, and were excellent craftsmen. They showed up on time, did incredible work, and always made sure things were clean and locked up when they left for the day. They even installed small details for us upon completion, like hanging curtain rods, towel rings/toilet paper holders, and door stops. We had a beautiful antique window that had been hidden in the wall of the house that they were able to remove, refinish, and install in our new bathroom. It looks gorgeous and we were so appreciative that they were willing and able to restore it for us. We also wanted to preserve the original hardwood floors while extending them into the new space. Their flooring guys were excellent and did an amazing job both matching the old and new floors as well as replicating the edging detail. We are so happy with the finished product and get a lot of compliments. We will definitely be using them again when we finish our basement and remodel our kitchen.

Johnny and his crew did an excellent job on our interior renovations! We decided to hire a contractor because we had a long list of small to medium sized jobs and it was easier to let one person manage it. From the start, Johnny was professional and upfront on all costs and materials. He made some suggestions along the way which improved the overall quality of the job. His crew, especially his brother Jose, were very meticulous throughout the job, and handled any suggestions or changes like pros. They were very careful when moving all of our furniture to redo the floors. They also by far kept the cleanest jobsite I've ever seen in any home improvement I've done. All of their tools and materials were put away neatly and they vacuumed and swept at the end of each day. I'd highly recommend Venegas Contracting!

Johnny and his team are professional and talented. We had many issues with the layout of our second floor and our kitchen. We had odd layouts and inconvenient spaces and wasted space that Johnny vastly improved. The second floor project included bathroom and hallway work and adding our washer and dryer to the hallway area. Our kitchen and foyer and front door projects were done by Johnny and his team independent of each other but blend perfectly. The kitchen work was done in under 8 weeks. The mess and dust in the rest of the house was minimal as the guys sealed off the entire area and re-sealed throughout the project. Before starting and throughout each project we met with Johnny many times, each time we were treated with respect and professionalism even as we made many changes and kept adding to the project. We are extremely pleased with the results. We have asked Johnny and co. to return to do some work in the living and dining rooms. The siding work was completed in about 2 weeks. They cleaned up every piece of debris from the removal of the old cedar siding and were also very professional. A word about Johnny’s employees. They, like Johnny himself, are talented and offered intelligent, insightful fixes to our issues. They were always professional and respectful to our home and family. I felt comfortable leaving them to work while I was out. If something we wanted could not be done or a change was necessary they spoke with us directly to get our ideas, consulted with Johnny and together we came up with the solution. Happy to say that I can, without hesitation, recommend Venegas Construction!

The estimate was very timely but higher than other providers.

Quality of the work was excellent and the guys were very clean, courteous, and professional. Price was exactly as quoted. I highly recommend Venegas. My only advice, which applies to any work, would be to make sure you understand the timeline. We had delays because of a miscommunication early on in the process, which I believe is the client's responsibility to understand. Also, Johnny is helpful with ideas if you don't know exactly what you want, but giving him drawings or photos to work from (if doing something complicated) is very helpful.

I call Mr.Venegas on 8/2017,ask for an estimate for remodeling general construction,he came on 9-7-17,stated he will e mail me the estimate.Up to today not even a courtesy call,stating sorry for the delate.

Found them to be responsive, accountable, diligent, fast and human. They replaced my kitchen floor for free after we realized that the bamboo floor we had chosen was a bad product. That is service and accountability!!

It went really well. Johnny is a problem solver - meaning he doesn't just rely on me to think of all options or what needs to get done. He offered me a few solutions and made me feel really great about the choices we made.

Johnny and crew did a fantastic job building our garage, and replacing our fence. Venegas crew workmanship was amazing. I was amazed at the quality of work that was done and completed every day I came home. The crew was very nice, curious, and always left a clean worksite at the end of the day. Each inspection from the township went smoothly, hassle free. Johnny or assistant manager Johanna would always get back to be promptly if I had a question. I am amazed at what we had before and now. (See the before and after pictures of the garage. FYI The concrete blocks and floor seal was done by me not Venegas. This is a look I wanted to do on my own. I have pictures from start to finish and would be happy to share them with anyone). The greatest moments have been neighbors and people we did not know that stop by when I am outside to let me know how beautiful the garage is and how nice the Venegas crew was. Johnny Venegas and crew were wonderful and I would use them again.

They are the best GC I have ever worked with. Their prices are competitive. They are very nice to work with, completely trust worthy, and have great ideas to fit any budget. I highly recommend them and will without a doubt use them again in the future.

The provider seemed very professional and came to give me an estimate while I was at work. He called to make sure he was quoting the correct work. I ended up using another provider that was substantially cheaper.

The job went very well Johnny Venegas and his crew handled the project with professionalism, care and honesty. When issues occurred they were handled promptly and to our satisfaction. We would be pleased to work with Venegas General Contractor in the future as well as recommending them to friends and family.

Johnny and his entire team were a absolute pleasure to work with, especially after 'work" with our initial contractor was a nightmare. Johnny and his team took on our project on short notice and did a wonderful job of laying out all the work that still needed to be complete, and the timeline for each phase moving forward. They did a great job of working to stay on budget and on time, and worked with us to save money in certain areas and then using those savings to make improvements in other areas. Johnny and our project manager Jose were always in contact with any updates, issues, or questions and they did a great job of communicating throughout the process. They also have a really great attention to detail and did a lot of custom work that a lot of other contractors would not have the skill, desire, or pride in their work to do. Overall, we are extremely grateful that we found Johnny, since finding a honest, hard-working, quality contractor is like finding a needle in a haystack. We are beyond happy with the final results of our home, and will definitely be using Johnny for any and all future projects...along with recommending him to all of our friends and family.

We hired him for extensive work and his guarantee means nothing. He is constantly leaving the country and I cannot believe he is still in buisiness. We would have sued him but he left the country and sold his assets or hid them with his brother. Very charming but his work only looks good for a month or so then everything falls apart. We paid for name brand pavers and he used cheap, we paid for expensive fencing, it rotted and fell down, the roof leaked the first winter and he refused to complete the job. He hired a pool company who ran off with over 10K and didn't take responsibility for doing so. His work is a nightmare. We also had sod and sprinklers installed and had to replace the entire system the following year. Again, do not fall for the charm, take heed and know that his work is not quality and his prices are astronomical. He made so many shortcuts I cannot list them here. I have nightmares about having entrusted him to do anything with my home. The gas line to the pool heater leaked and on and on. It cost us tons more money to correct his horrible work. Not to mention, I had to show him Victorian magazine so he could find a cedar shake. Take a pass on his company.

Excellent! How rare is it to get a contractor whose hands on! Venegas saw my vision and bought to light! Their crew was a delight to work with, courteous at all times. They were very organized. It was comforting for me to see the same crew consistently. They're team leader checked all work once a week. Any concerns were handled quickly. Venegas were in constant communication with us. I am very happy with the outcome, my kitchen and bath are gorgeous! Can't wait until our 2nd phase with this Team!

We hired Johnny to repair and replace our wooden window trims. His estimate was a touch high, but he did not go over it and his meticulous work product more than made up for it. Johnny is very skilled and professional, and we were particularly impressed by his integrity and pride in his work product. We would welcome the opportunity to work with him again.

Excellent job by Johnny and his team!  We needed crown molding installed and replaced and our office as well as some window trim work (window ledge).  Johnny and his team completed the work within our time-frame and were extremely professional.  The work was beautifully done and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.  We would definitely use this provider again!
