I have had a leak by the chimney of my fireplace since I've owned my home. I've had the roof replaced, the chimney flue replaced, the chimney caps replaced, the bricks repointed, and everything sealed. And still I had the leak. My daughter called it a 'water feature' since water would leak in and run down the front of the fireplace. Not pleasant. Last spring, after having all the bricks in the chimney repointed, I was hopeful. The leak stopped. I waited all summer for it to leak again - it didn't - so in August I had the fireplace refaced. The brick had been water stained over the years. I was shocked in the fall to find it leaking again - all over the newly faced fireplace. It was suggested that I call back the guy who had replaced the roof but I decided not to. If he didn't do it right the first time, why would I think he could do it right the second time? I found Jim on Angie's List. He came over, went up on the roof and took photos of all the problems. He was busy and it took a couple of weeks for him to get to me, but he and his partner repaired my roof on 2/22/26 - two days prior to a major storm. I am happy to say that my roof did not leak! No more water feature! I only wish I had found Jim years ago - it would have saved me time, money, and angst to have my roof repaired properly. They were prompt, polite, worked hard, cleaned up all debris, and did an awesome job. I highly recommend Jim and his partner and will definitely use them again for all my roofing needs.

The owner, Jim, is a very nice person. We had leak in our roof and he came over the next day to inspect it and give us a quote. Due to rain, he was not able to come back until the following week. We had a death in the family and were headed out to a funeral. I mistakenly paid him with a check from a closed checking account. A week later, when we realized what had happened, he couldn't have been nicer or more understanding and stopped by the next day for a new check. I would recommend Jim to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable roofer with good customer service.

Work went very well. His crew was courteous and efficient as well. They also returned when we requested they check on the work.I would recommend them to anyone.

I noticed a small leak in my attic on December 9th during a bad rain. Still relatively new to the area, I turned to Angie's List and called Jim based on previous reviews. Jim was very nice when I called and told me he could come by early the next day which he did. After inspecting the roof he showed me the pictures of where shingles had been blown off causing the hole and another area of a shoddy patch job by the previous owners. His price was very fair and agreed to have the work done. He said he would be back very shortly to do the repair as more bad weather was in store and he was true to his word. My wife and I had errands to run and we got home as he was finishing up, just as it started to snow. I would gladly call on Jim again.

Believing that I had a roof problem, I called Jim's Roofing Repair. Jim called back promptly and set up an appointment for an estimate for the next morning. He arrived on time (8:00 am) and looked for the problem (there has been a leak on the second floor which damaged the sheetrock). He found that the leader and leader head were clogged and said that that was likely the cause of the leak. He cleaned out masses of vegetation from the leader head and top of the leader. He said that we should keep an eye on it before we replace the sheetrock. If an additional problem exists, I will call him to locate and repair it. He is a very pleasant person and easy to work with.

Jim understood the project at once. Since it was a detached garage we wanted a well built budget job. He found good materials and worked quickly. We will call him for other work.

Jimmy responded immediately to my request for an estimate and came by right away. Within a day he provided two thorough and reasonably priced estimates for reshingling over the existing roof and for a full tear off. He suggested the reshingling, as we only had one shingle layer on the roof already. Jimmy was very professional and definitely knew his stuff! My only complaint would be that he could have been more communicative as we neared the tentative date of the job. There had been some bad weather, so I assumed there would be a delay, but he didn't always call right away to keep me updated. Once the rain subsided and he started the job, they worked straight through and got it done quickly. I would definitely recommend Jim's Roofing Repair!

Removed rotted wood and nesting debris. Installed and prime painted new soffit boards. Sealed flashing. Took phone calls directly, showed up when he said he would, and left area cleaned up.

I have been using Jim's Roofing for several years now and he has always honored his word. When our roof lost shingles in hurricane 'Sandy' he was inundated with calls, and he still found time to get to us and put a temporary patch on our roof to prevent additional damage until the insurance appraisers could get to us. Once we had our estimate from the insurance company, we called Jim and he assured us that he would get to us as soon as he could. He and his crew did an excellent job of repairs and did it at a fair price. I will continue to use him as he stands behind his work.
