Extremely knowledgeable and efficient. Carried all parts with him in car when he came. Their cost was reasonable, and included the cost of parts plus hourly labor cost. Much less total cost than other repair people who have to order parts and make two trips to repair.

I called on a weekend, and they got back to me via email. The technicians were very prompt, efficient, arriving when they said they would. They told me exactly what it was going to cost and the price seemed fair. They had to come back since they had to order a part. They fixed the problem and it was a very positive experience overall.

Overall, the experience was okay. The technician arrived on the same day, which was good. Two months later, the dryer went out, so I ended up having to purchase a new one.

"We are sorry to hear that you had another issue with your dryer 2 months after the repair. This is the first time we were made aware of this since you did not contact us about it. If it was the same parts that broke, they would have been covered under the manufacturers part warranty and we would have replaced them 100% free of charge. If it was a different part that broke, then that was beyond our control. Either way, we hope when other potential customers read this, they understand getting a grade of 'F' for quality was uncalled for. You made an appointment and we came out the same day, arriving with both the knowledge and parts to repair your appliance quickly and properly in the first visit. We go out of our way to have happy customers. We were very happy with their services! We had called Sears first, since we’ve used them in the past, along with a few other repair services, but we went with Pit Stop because they had online scheduling and they guarantee same-day/24 hour service. The other places would’ve had us wait several days. The technician arrived on the same day, was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. He did the work quickly, explained to me why that part had broken and gave advice on how to prevent the problem in the future. Their prices were very reasonable. I would 100% go to them first if we were ever in a similar situation.

As described in accurate detail on Pit Stop's website, and by the reviewers on Angie's List, the work was excellent, but the price is not the lowest around.  We could have purchased a brand new, comparable replacement dryer for $375, but instead ending up paying $285 to repair the old one, saving us around $100 in the process.  I just hope the repair lasts another 10 years, proving this to be a good decision!

All and all though, a really great job, great quick and timely service, all at a fair price.  Only wish the price were a bit lower...in all fairness, I guess if we had a newer-fangled modern dryer ($1000 type), the $285 wouldn't have seemed so high!

One reason I selected Pitstop was for their convenient scheduling over the website. The technician was very knowledgeable and professional and arrived promptly for all visits - three in total. The first visit was to diagnose washer and dryer problems ($85), and to replace the moldy door boot with a replacement part I had ordered. The cause of low dryer efficiency wasn't clear because our dryer vent had become clogged, so follow up visits were required for the washer door latch (parts had to be ordered) and dryer in the event the problem persisted after the duct was cleaned. Despite cleaning of the duct (which was very clogged) our dryer still failed to heat properly, so the second visit was to replace the dryer coil which fixed the problem. The third visit occurred two days later to replace the door latch, and the work was done promptly and successfully. The cost ended up being fairly high because 3 visits were necessary. If the door latch part had been available immediately or our duct hadn't been clogged, the total cost would have been below $400 instead of $470.
