Even though this was a very old toilet they tried very hard to figure out a simple solution to avoid an expensive replacement.

Was told I was getting a &200.00 dollar faucet and the cost to install would be $200. Found the exact same faucet at lowes the next day for $113 and the tap for 3.99. All the extra went to the plumber I guess . Took about 35 to 40 minutes.and labor was 275 for 40 minutes. I now found out that contractors have to pay for leads.

Tim from All American Plumbing contacted me instantly. I had not yet closed out of the site when he called. He was also able to work around my schedule, as I had to reschedule the first visit at the last moment. He arrived right on time. He also followed my directions to call prior to his arrival; I have a large dog that needed to be crated before Tim could come in the house. He and his assistant Greg were pleasant and professional. They were very focused and remained on task until all was completed. Tim also discovered that the main pipe running from the house had significant deterioration and recommended that it be replaced. I agreed, and again the work was done in a timely efficient manner. The estimates provided prior to starting the work were right on the money. The only area that could be improved upon would be the clean up after the work was done. The first project (fixing the leaky toilet) was OK, just some sweeping and mopping. The second project was another story altogether. It involved digging up the front yard and removing a portion of the retaining wall. I was told that they would try to re-stack the stones and I would need to do the fine work. This was not done. The stones are piled up on either side of this area. The dirt is sloping down to the street. My large rhododendron was left sitting with its roots exposed on the rocks. One of the smaller shrubs was ripped in half and tossed to the side. The stone pathway was destroyed and two of the small bushes have gone missing altogether. I realize that this was a major job but some clean up would have been nice. Afterword: I received some estimates to repair the front yard. The most reasonable came in at $500. I guess the lesson I learned in this project is to be realistic about the follow up on the job.
