The workmanship was very good. They were clean and precise. Communication probably needs to be improved.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Horrible communication! They never call back, you never get an answer, zero response, excuse after excuse. I had them out for an estimate almost two months ago. As of 7/1, I still didn't have a firm date when work would start. I moved on to another contractor. I guess Almand didn't want the job in the end.

I hired these guys because they are generally recognized as the best concrete outfit around.  They did a great "looking" job -
But - the day they poured the first phase, the high temperature for the day was 34 degrees.  When they poured the pads on the sidewalk, the high temperature was 35 degrees.  I'm no concrete expert, but I do know that was way too cold to pour.  As a result, there are "pops" all over the place. Both the company owner and the guy who supplies the concrete looked at the job and agreed there were problems but offered no solution, other than to fill the pops - which they never did.  
Every time I mentioned the temperature factor, both the company owner and to the concrete supplier ignored me, i.e. "Isn't 34 degrees too cold to pour?"  No response.
That was four years ago and the pops have gotten larger every year.  I wrote several letters (and got a response, but no follow-up) and eventually gave up.  I know they don't want to tear it all up and re-do the job (I wouldn't expect them to), but at least they could offer to patch up the holes that the pops have left behind.  I'll end up doing it myself.  Not thew worst thing in the world, but I expect a little more from the people who are regarded as the best around.

The estimate was delivered within 2 days.  The price was fair, in my opinion.   I responded to the estimate by asking for another estimate including some additional work.   Despite 3 phone calls and 2 emails asking about the estimate revision I got no response whatsoever.    Every call I made to the company went to voicemail -- it was never answered by a real person.  Emails were ignored.  I eventually had the work done by another company.

The quality and appearance of the driveway is great, thanks in part to the mason/concrete guy who was fantastic. He was amazing, skilled and professional. Too bad the same cannot be said about the secretary in the office who was screening calls and would pick up when she didn't recognize the number and the owner who finally called back to shut me up when I could not get in touch with his people and did not know if or when they were going to come back after the job had hit a snag. I'd love to say that I'd hire them again, but the headache of having to deal with their logistics part will make that impossible.

While I thought the estimate was a bit high, I liked their approach and decided to go with it. The basic removal of the blacktop and cement pouring went fine, but as the driveway dried and hardened, stains began to appear. At first I thought it was part of the drying process but the stains never went away. I called the company several times to come and look at it and I was told someone would call me back but they never did. Finally, I told them I was going to report this to Angie's List -- by the way, where I found them in the first place -- and someone called me and said they were going to inquire with the manufacturer of the sealant and get back to me, but they never did. As time has passed, the stains have gotten worse and where they splashed the sealant on the siding, stains have appeared as well.
Additionally, the repair work on the flagstone walk is horrendous. It looks like a child did it. It will have to be totally redone. I am disgusted with this company and now I am stuck with an unsightly driveway. I would never recommend them for ANYTHING to anyone.

It was a very good estimate. It was a very good process. They were very professional. I would consider using this company in the future.

Excellent company to deal with. Mr. Almand came within days of the my first inquiry to give us price estimate. He was professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable of his business. Work was completed in one day - the workers were all polite, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job. I cannot say how pleased I am with the patio!  I spoke with the office several times before the work was scheduled while waiting for the township permit to be approved for the job. I always spoke with Collette who was  friendly, helpful, and always got me the answers i needed. The price was very fair & the work was perfect!  This company deserves and A+.

It was the best experience I could ask for. I ran into no problems whatsoever. The crew was professional and I would definitely recommend them in the future.

The entire job looks beautiful and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I brought Almand Bros in to basically change the outside, curb appeal of my nearly 90 Year Old home.  The outside was overgrown and overwhelmed with old shrubbery.  I had no sidewalks, a gravel driveway and an old brick walkway from the street to my front porch.  It was pretty much a mishmash that didn't do my home justice.

Michael Almand came in and with his vision, planning, design layout and amazing team turned a jumbled mess into the best looking home on the block.  A person would be hard pressed to tell that my home is 90 Years Old, it is bright and shining, it looks almost like new construction.  He completely transformed and enhanced my property. 

 I have beautiful matching walkway and sidewalks as well as a fabulous driveway.  Add to the concrete work, Michael designed my front lawn (all new sod) and a new front garden with shrubbery that is the perfect compliment to my home.

Everyone on his team was courteous, professional and very skilled at their job; I was extremely impressed with how quickly they accomplished the task at hand.  They went over and above what I had expected.  Michael even told me how to care for my new sod and shrubbery so I wouldn't lose any over the winter months.

I am very pleased with Almand Bros and would recommend them to anyone needing concrete work.

Everything was excellent. They did a superb job. The were on time and professional. Everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing and now I have a beautiful driveway. Their prices were very reasonable. Cathy, who worked in the main office, was very informative, pleasant to speak with, and a wonderful contact person for this company.

They came out and did the job, no problem. I realized there were chips and cracks in certain parts so they came out and put a sealer on it but that didn't do a thing. There were some roots under where they were going to lay and they wouldn't take the roots out.
