Ground Troops

I was woken up at 1:30 this morning by the sound of four Ground Troops leaf blowers completing snow removal for 2 inches of snow on my residential street. This is the second light snow this week, and the second time this week my family has been woken up because of leaf blowers (last time was at 3 am.) I've lived here 13 years and no contractor has ever chosen leaf blowers as a mode of snow removal in the middle of the night. It is rude and it is wrong. I called my homeowner's association earlier this week, to request that they not use leaf blowers. Today, I spoke with the owner of Ground Troops, who told me with a snide smile that since they are providing emergency snow removal services, they are not bound by the law for noise ordinance. He displayed an utter regard for lack of right and wrong, and a lack of common sense and common decency.
