Jessie's location on Daniel Street in Portsmouth is very convenient...right across the street from the post office and next
store to a great German bakery. I walk over, drop her off at 9:00 and
pick her up at 11:15....easy and simple!

I called and Jesse picked right up. She took a good amount of time talking with me about some of the challenges I've faced with other groomers (my dog is highly anxious and old, so has bitten other groomers; i want unscented shampoo and conditioner; I didn't want the conventional poodle clip). She was able to schedule me for the very next day and remembered our conversation well. The clip was exactly what i had asked for and I loved that he didn't come away smelling like fruit or flowers! She did NOT have to muzzle him because she uses a lavendar (essential oil) spray to calm anxious dogs, and she only has one dog in her shop at a time. She was ready for him exactly at the time of our appointment and was done exactly when she said she'd be done. She's friendly and eager to please the customer. And her price is very reasonable! (better than any of the other groomers I've used) Usually my dog is grumpy for a day or two after he's been to the groomers -- I haven't known if it's the emotional stress or physically the position they keep him in, but this time, there was none of that.
Jesse is a clearly an experienced grooming professional. She's the owner and you deal directly with her. Her shop is clean, has a fun/funky feel to it, and is super convenient downtown. You can park in the post office parking spots super fast to just drop your dog off and then run back to your car.
Can't recommend her highly enough!
