Furnace and water heater provide improved home heating and instant hot water. I expect to save $$$ in fuel. Installation went smoothly, done in one day and my basement was left clean.
I am very satisfied.
It is a good faith gesture and I can ask for no more since the subsequent visit repair did correct the problem. Thank you Carl.
I did ask the service tech on his first visit if he was sure a dirty filter could cause the unit to "flood." He replied confident that it was.
It turned out that the drain pan in the unit somehow shifted and was not draining but over flowing. I did not know that there was such a pan in the unit and it was never mentioned or investigated during the first visit.
When the more severe leak was in progress, I called the vendor immediately and they did get the same tech there the same day. The pan needed to be shimmed in one corner to allow drainage. Not a complicated fix but it did take some investigating to find the cause. In all fairness, I do understand when the tech said that the shift in the pan was not at all something he would have thought could happen but in all fairness still, there was no consideration for the second service call for the SAME issue when the bill arrived. I believe 1st visit/filter change was about $120.00.
I spoke with the tech at the second visit about a consideration of the first bill toward the the second bill and he stated that would be up to his boss. A bill for the second visit arrived in full but with no call to discuss from the vendor. I have called 2x to discuss consideration for the billing.
No "boss" has returned my call. The second bill remains unpaid. As a result, I can not recommend the vendor due to the lack of communication and professionalism in customer service.
leaking hose unit..again had the right parts with them. Although a
little more in cost than I had hoped for, I couldn't be more pleased. I
think that as soon as I put down the phone, the plumber was in my
driveway! Had another problem the following week (completely
unrelated--my husband tried to be a plumber--luckily he kept his day
job)--same quick response, courtesy and professionalism. He even ignored the call coming in on his cell phone so that he could attend to my problem. I'd call on them any day.
