We called Jim Trombly plumbing to give us a quote to replace our furnace and hot water heater with a system that was more efficient and that qualified for the energy rebates available.  Frank Trombly came by to meet with us and was well prepared with brochures that outlined the system he proposed installing, along with the rebate forms and what the equipment would qualify for.  He took his time explaining how the system worked and why it was more efficient.  We were impressed with his professionalism and the fact that he was well prepared for his visit with the information we had specifically requested.  He told us he would get us a quote in a day or two and he was right on time.  The quote was also a reasonable amount.  We met with several other companies to obtain quotes but we felt that Trombly did the best job providing us with all aspects of what we were looking for in a contractor.  The team arrived the day of installation on time and were done in one day.  The work area was also incredibly neat and clean, which was appreciated.  We would not hesitate to use them again.

He turned up on time, they were nice, they were efficient, it was okay, they gave us some good advice about some things. We were going to have them back at some point because we need some more stuff done.

From proposal to installation, all was done well and professionally.
Furnace and water heater provide improved home heating and instant hot water.  I expect to save $$$ in fuel.  Installation went smoothly, done in one day and my basement was left clean.
I am very satisfied.

This review is an update to a previous review indicating disappointment with a billing issue. I have since spoke with Carl and after some discussion, he offered to adjust the outstanding bill for the work done on a  subsequent visit regarding a leaking central a/c unit.
It is a good faith gesture and I can ask for no more since the subsequent visit repair did correct the problem. Thank you Carl.

This is an update to the July 17, 2013 review I wrote. As it turned out, the water leak to the first floor from the central a/c unit above was not a dirty filter issue. The ceiling tiles in the room below ultimately needed to be replaced and the wall needed to be painted as a result of water damage from the second more sever leak after the filter was changed.
I did ask the service tech on his first visit if he was sure a dirty filter could cause the unit to "flood." He replied confident that it was.
It turned out that the drain pan in the unit somehow shifted and was not draining but over flowing. I did not know that there was such a pan in the unit and it was never mentioned or investigated during the first visit.
When the more severe leak was in progress, I called the vendor immediately and they did get the same tech there the same day. The pan needed to be shimmed in one corner to allow drainage. Not a complicated fix but it did take some investigating to find the cause. In all fairness, I do understand when the tech said that the shift in the pan was not at all something he would have thought could happen but in all fairness still,  there was no consideration for the second service call for the SAME issue when the bill arrived. I believe 1st visit/filter change was about $120.00.
I spoke with the tech at the second visit about a consideration of the first bill toward the the second bill and he stated that would be up to his boss. A bill for the second visit arrived in full but with no call to discuss from the vendor. I have called 2x to discuss consideration for the billing.
No "boss"  has returned my call. The second bill remains unpaid. As a result, I can not recommend the vendor due to the lack of communication and professionalism in customer service.

The crew arrived on time and completed the work a little earlier than anticipated the second day.  Very professional and cleaned up the work area both days.  They went out of their way to be helpful, and even installing a new sump pump for us when we mentioned it had stopped working the month before.  We were very pleased overall.

He did a good job and did a lot of work in 2 hours.  I haven't hired a plumber in a long time and I was a little surprised by the price.  They charged $110 an hour.  They did give me 10% for being an Angie's List member.

The plumber brought the necessary parts with him.  He also fixed the
leaking hose unit..again had the right parts with them.  Although a
little more in cost than I had hoped for, I couldn't be more pleased.  I
think that as soon as I put down the phone, the plumber was in my
driveway!  Had another problem the following week (completely
unrelated--my husband tried to be a plumber--luckily he kept his day
job)--same quick response, courtesy and professionalism.  He even ignored the call coming in on his cell phone so that he could attend to my problem.  I'd call on them any day.

Tom arrived on time -- even a few minutes early.  I have no idea what is involved but Tom made sure I was satisfied with the result before he left.  He worked quickly and efficiently and I would not hesistate to use this company again or recommend them to my friends.

My brother in law was going to do the work but thought it required a plumber.  We checked Angie's list and got referrals from a few people as we are new to the area.  We called Trombly and they were able to come within the week.  Vinnie was prompt and professional and we will definitely call them again.  The work was completed in three hours !

Everything went fine. If everything stays fixed, I will call them again for future plumbing needs. Can't evaluate the price, because I'm not knowledgeable about plumbing fees in general. It didn't seem too out of line! As long as the work performed is satisfactory, and a provider is competent, I will continue to use their services. Have been burned too many times by taking a chance on unknowns. By using Angie's List recommended providers, there's more of a guarantee of satisfaction!

Professional, courteous and hard-working team of 2 plumbers did a great job for a very reasonable price. A few years ago I had a different plumber install a water heater in another home and it cost $1,500! In addition, the folks who do the scheduling are extremely helpful and flexible, willing to work with uncertain dates/times.

They did a big job, and it went fine. I got a number of quotes, and their quote was competitive. The work came in, and they were pretty much right on the quote, and everything was done right the first time. I didn’t really have any problems.
