Servopro failed to sustain proper negative space when performing their demolition process in removing the toxic mold from my wall. The plastic was pillowed and they wore their shoes in and out of the containment area. The mold spores detected were aspergillius/pennicillium and stachybotrys. The first molds listed are only hazardous when in high concentrations. These mold spores measures 5000+ macrounits. The stachybotrys was detected in my furniture after the removal process, where mold was not previously detected. Servpro did not remove ALL of the mold and spray painted over any remaining mold spots.

The dat following the request for assistance, a young man was instructed to deliver several electric heaters to dry out the area. I immediately had issues with him setting these heaters on a wet floor. Using his cellphone, the young man called him for further instruction. He was berated for even calling him & we listened to him say to simply set them on the floor, they would have another crew come out and 'encapsulate' the affected area at a later date, and leave. I had to spend time erecting a simple scaffold to raise them off the wet floor. The heaters would have to in place for 48-72 hrs. In an unheated garage with temps around 20 below zero, that would add quite a bit to our electric bill which was not their fault. The 2 persons sent out to encapsulate the affected area with a heavy mil plastic arrived almost a week later and had no clue of what they were supposed to do. I assumed that they would attach the plastic to the ceiling however they had no way of doing that. I had to 'suggest' that they simply staple the plastic to the ceiling. They didn't even have a stapler. They used mine (and my staples) to accomplish the job. I'd also told them NOT to remove the wet insulation and sheetrock as this was minimal and could dispose of it on my own. They took the stuff anyway. It was nearly a week later when a person arrived to remove the heaters and replace them with a fan to help circulate air. That was there for nearly a week and a half. Meanwhile, I called Servpro and and left messages to call. I wanted to reinsulate the area and be done with it; this was costing us money to run the heaters and then the fan. Nearly 3 weeks later, a person arrived to simply remove the plastic & then departed. I ended up having to do the insulation and repairs myself as it was costing us a fortune to heat & 'dry' this area. Nearly 2 MONTHS later, the supervisor called to say they wanted 'button up this job' - have a crew spray the mold preventative material, get the insulation in place and do the sheetrock. The only time that we've heard from them since then is for us to pay them and I refuse. Why should I pay for services that i'm still waiting for? I've since met up with a couple of the employees that were sent out to do this 'job'. They've informed me that they no lo longer work for Servpro as this is the most dishonest company they could imagine. They've been instructed to claim they've done these services with actually doing them. It's obvious they are bilking the customers for not doing the work. And we are not the only ones in this area that have had this type of service from them. I've estimated that I spend almost $1000 of my own time and money to repair this and that does not include the extend cost for utilities to heat the area & run that fan.
Description of Work: This company was called to perform repairs for some minor damage due to a burst water pipe in our garage on/about 1/27/2011 as recommended by our insurance company. We signed a contract with the supervisor that included the drying out the area, removal of the damaged materials, spraying of mold prevention material, replace the insulation and the sheetrock for the ceiling. As of this date (7/25/2011), this job is still not done!
