Varney & Sons Logging

In August 2012, Varney & Sons Logging was recomended to us by a well-known tree service company to cut and remove, at no cost, at least 25 trees from our side lot. Frank, the owner of the company, hired two young men to do the work. They did not show up when they said they would, and reaching Frank to get answers was almost impossible.
When the men finally arrived, they agreed to include some trimming of dead branches and to cut 4 or 5 stumps to ground level. We understood that the agreement did not include clearing of scrap debris from our yard.
At the end of August or the first part of September, while cutting a huge oak tree, the rotted top half fell directly onto our neighbor's shed, damaging the roof and siding. They spoke with our neighbor and promised they would personally come back and rebuild the shed. They also promised they would provide our neighbor with a cord of wood.
Our neighbor had to call them numerous times to find out when they would do the work they agreed to. Finally, they came back and did some preliminary work on the shed, but left without finishing the shed or completing the agreed-to cutting in our yard.
By the middle of September, after Frank did not respond to numerous phone messages, we drove to his place of business in Effingham, NH. Frank was at the property, and during the very civil conversation, told us he would talk to his employee, Cole, and "see to it" that he fulfilled the promises made to us and to our neighbor.
October 4, 2012...Again, after numerous calls to Frank and Cole, they refuse to respond and we have not seen them since. (Pictures available)
