White Castle Roofing

On 3/31/14, I called White Castle Roofing to see if they could help us out with our vent stacks on the roof.  The boots that are connected to the roof itself were cracked & we were getting water damage on the ceiling of 1 room.  Jake Hansen,(Residential Operations Director), said he would be out the next day to have a look.  Jake came out on 4/1 & climbed on the roof, took a few pics & came down to explain what was going on & how to fix it.  Luckily he happened to have 2 replacement boots with him & I told him to go ahead & repair the vent stacks.  Total cost: $90.
When inspecting the attic for water damage, Jake said there had been water drips coming from 1 of the small square vents & showed evidence of such by the drip indentation on the blown-in insulation. I asked him about remedy for this & he suggest to get Snow Guard Mesh Filters for the smaller square vents.  Little cost for 8 of them plus labor to put them in: $230.

The staff of White Castle was very service-oriented and answered all of our questions promptly. In any job this large there are bound to be a few minor problems, but these were addressed promptly. Overall, the work was very high quality and we are very happy with our new roof and gutters. I would definitely recommend White Castle to anyone in Omaha or Lincoln.

After the hail storm last year we had several companies give us estimates to replace our shingles and gutters.  Some companies did not even give us a written estimate, just simply said they would do the work for what the insurance company paid us.  White Castle gave us a professional estimate with all the details spelled out.  They also included brochures in the estimate showing the material options and colors that we could choose.

We also decided to have siding installed on our home at the same time.  White Castle provided a detailed estimate and sample material that they would use.  Their price was comparable to all other estimates we received.

All the work was done as scheduled, except for some delays due to weather.  The project manager, Mike Smith, kept in contact with me and informed me when each phase of the work would be started and completed.  I was happy with the quality of the work and the quality of the material. 

Jake was great. He provided options to resolve the snow infiltration via the roof vents and did a couple of small repairs on the spot. He recommended filters to install in the vents, picked them up in Lincoln and delivered them to my house for me to install. I liked that he didn't try to sell me a new roof or to install new vents.

After last year's Omaha storm, I was left with the destruction of my roof, gutter guards and metal around my 9 north windows and garage door.  I was looking for someone who had the ability to do it all and do it professionally with their own people(not by hiring subcontractors).  Through my own research, I knew I wanted GAF Shingles and Ridge Vent products, so that lead me to the GAF website which is where I was lucky enough to find White Castle Roofing, whom I had not heard of previously.  I felt like I had made a perfect choice, from our first meeting though project completion . . . and I'm very picky about details!!!  I asked for special things, regarding what they were going to park on my driveway . . . they went out of their way to comply to every request!  Their entire staff, from the managers to the roofers, were respectful of both me and my property.  The gentleman that did the metal work around the windows and garage door is an absolute artist and you could tell he loved what he did for a living!!

I appreciate the integrity and professionalism that White Castle Roofing displayed.  Sometimes the storm damage turns out to be the least of your problems, when you start dealing with the contractors.  That was not the case with White Castle, they were patient and took good care of me and my property.  I will use and recommend them every chance I get in the future!!

Initial contact with White Castle was to provide an estimate for roof valley repair. The estimator promised to arrive at a certain date, but never showed, never called. Once White Castle was made aware of their "dropping the ball", they made good and did further repairs AT NO CHARGE! This level of service should be an example to all others. Because they admitted their mistake, and because of the level of professionalism, White Castle has moved to the head of the good contractors list in my book. Recommended? Definitely. Would I use White Castle again? Absolutely.

Jason was great from start to finish.  His estimate was high, but he brought it down to match our insurance adjuster's total within a few dollars.  They completed the entire job in one day, while we were out of town. Communication was excellent, and the product advice was top notch.  Jason fully explained everything along the way.  They returned a few weeks later to inspect the roof and ensure that we were happy with the work.  Quality job all the way.

We had initially used another roofing company but they totally did it all wrong. So White Castle Roofing ended up redoing our roof. Everything was great with them; they came on time, did an outstanding job, and they were clean.

They did good. We've had a conversation and the bid would be done through insurance.

I visited the White Castle Roofing website and was impressed with their site and with the videos describing their values and services. I submitted my info via their website and was contacted the following day by Luke Hansen.  We setup an appointment and he thoroughly checked my roof and described their services and provided me with a quote with a few different options based on our discussion.  After I signed their one page agreement, they setup a time to remove and replace my roof and this was accomplished in a single day.  On a side note, I was pleased to see that the shingles were delivered on the same day as the installation and the cleanup was very thorough.  During the installation, the owner, Mike Hansen, stopped by to check on the progress and was very patient in answering all my questions and any concerns I had.  The following week, Jake Hansen (this is a family business) stopped by to inspect the work and to answer any questions. The roof looks great and these guys are expert installers for all of the major shingle brands.  The gutters were installed a few weeks later and they too look great.  Each step of the way, from quote to post-installation, the whole experience has been a pleasure.  I found them very easy to work and they were able to work within my budget.  I have already recommended them to a couple of my friends who have also hired them to replace their damaged roofs.  If you want to deal with a local company who does quality work with honesty and integrity, give them a call and I think you will be happy with your decision.

I was out of town when the new roof was put on.  I arrived home around 6:00 p.m. on June 13th and the new roof was on and the workers had cleaned up all the debris and were gone.  The gutters were put on June 14, 2013.  I left the house early morning and it was done by the time I returned in the afternoon.  I am satisfied with the gutters and down spouts.

It went very well.  All the employees were very professional, courteous and helpful.

White Castle is FANTASTIC!  I had quite a bit of damage from a recent hail storm.  I did an intensive review of the top ten local companies, as shown on Angie's List.  This is very important--to get local providers--if you want a true warranty.  I selected five of them to provide estimates.  All of these companies received "A" ratings from Angie's List members.  None-the-less, there were significant differences between all of them.  One of them--"H&S"--only provided n estimate without even coming to my
home.  They used "Eagle View."  I think they were fair and honest, but left a bad impression by not even seeing my house.  Another highly rated company--Marathon Services--showed up 3 1/2 late and never even called to tell me they'd be late.  Needless to say, I no longer wanted an estimate from them.  "C&S Roofing"  seemed very fair and impressed me a lot, but there was just
too much that didn't smell right.  They also encouraged me to "take advantage" of my insurance company by replacing items that weren't damaged by the hail.  I love my insurance company and I have integrity, so no thanks C&S.  Of course, there were over a dozen out-of-town companies preying on the neighbor hood, all claiming to be local..  Want to scare them away?  Just tell them you will check them in the yellow pages. Since they require about a year lead time, you can usually tell if they really are local.
So, what did I like about White Castle?  Everything.  From the initial contact with the main office, everything went well and White Castle kept me 100% in the information loop.  Mike Smith runs the Omaha office and he was great.  Mike treated me with total respect and honesty. He treated my home as if it was his own.  Mike showed me everything he had to offer, but NEVER tried to push anything on me.  When I requested, he offered his opinions and recommendations.  Mike answered several dozen questions from me.  He then left many helpful pamphlets with me and then answered another 20 questions.  He was always happy to show and tell, since it was easy to tell about the great White Castle company and the high quality products they use.  Mike worked with me on the dates I preferred.  He provided a complete estimate, which my insurance company quickly approved. 
Shortly before the roofers arrived, they placed a roll-off container in my driveway.  I recommend raving two boards, at least 4 feet long and 1 foot wide for the wheels to ride on; bigger is even better.  The roofers arrived right on time and quickly got to work.  Because of the storm damage, I?ve watched many roofs get replaced in the neighborhood.  Many of them failed to remove all the remnants of the old roofing materials, but my guys got the roof completely cleared.  When they were nearly done clearing, that?s when the shingles showed up.  This was great!  Most roofing companies place the shingles on the roof a day before?sometimes much longer due to rain?and they both get in the way and place an unnecessary amount of weight on the roof for a long time.  During this work, Mike Smith stopped by several times to be sure I was satisfied.  When they finished, I got on the roof and examined every inch.  I and very picky, and found everything looking great.  This was the neatest roofing job I?ve ever seen!  Before they left, the crew cleaned up the entire mess on the roof and all around the house. 
The gutter and downspouts were replaced the next day.  The three young gentlemen doing the work performed like guys with many more years of experience.  The worked extremely well together and ensured each person was doing a perfect job.  My gutters and downspouts look fantastic!  Several neighbors already praised their work.  Thanks to Chris and Jake coming from Lincoln to ensure the process was going perfectly and that I was pleased.  That?s great customer service!
On the third day, two gentlemen completed the fascia work.  The are superb guys and true artists with their tools.  I enjoyed them and their expert work.
I probably drove some of the White Castle guys crazy because I was usually watching what they were doing.  I mostly did it because I enjoy watching craftsmen perform like artists.  At times, I made small requests of them, and everyone of them was more than happy to oblige. 
Selecting White Castle to repair my home is one of the best decisions I?ve ever made?and during 33 years in the Air Force, I?ve made many big ones.  Nobody cut corners to get the work done faster.  Additionally, White Castle offers more choices and the highest quality choices in the industry.  You?ll also be impressed with their incredible warranty options.  Thank you, everyone at White Castle!  You are a real credit to your profession. 

We were very pleased. White Castle provided an estimate that was about 1000 less than another estimate we had received. they responded promptly to my request for an estimate, and there were no unexpected charges after the job was completed. Their crew came, completed the job and left during the course of a regular work day. Their work was great, and they left no mess. We would definitely use them again.

They are absolutely punctual and they leave the property very clean. The roof lasts a lot longer than other service providers I've seen. I am just really happy with them.
