They were great! The furnace is working properly. Other than a little welding, you wouldn't even know they were in your home! They were VERY nice to work with.

They were right on time, replaced the gas valve which caused the mother board to quit working.  By the time I would have replaced both parts, I was almost 1/2 way to a new furnace.  They gave me a quote for a 95% efficient furnace.  I did end up going with another vendor because I am also in the middle of having to replace the roof. I might have had A-1 replace the furnace had I been given other choices.  They are a little pricier but very professional.

We got 3 estimates and A-1 was a little cheaper than the other two. The estimator, Damon, arrived exactly on the scheduled time and was thoroughly professional and very helpful. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need, which was refreshing. The installation was scheduled for 2 business days after we made our final decision. The installers arrived on time and were very professional, creating very little mess, which they cleaned up. They took time to show us the operation of the furnace and the new digital thermostat. A very pleasant and easy transaction all around. I highly recommend A-1 United.

In every way A1 United Heating and Air proved to be a top notch company, I am very pleased with the quality and value of their service.

Provided a two week window within which work could be done; work completed toward end of window.  House was power washed  and prepped before painting. 

The A1 team was always on time for their appointments and they cleaned up the area when they were finished.  We are very pleased with the work they did and the units they install.  We are still surprised at how quiet they are.  The furnace is so efficient we turned fhe furnace down to 68 degrees when we had to run our old unit at 72 degrees to have a comfortable temp in the house.

punctual, and professional.  They identified several options for us and
helped us picked the best one.  They also were able to fix a negative
pressure problem that we have had in our basement for a number of
years.  When the installers came, they finished on time and everything
was in cost.  And the furnace works great!  It was exactly how I would
have wanted it.

Greg came out and gave me an estimate.  He is excellent and great to work with.  There are few options that one can go with in terms of efficiency, and Greg worked with us to get the right one within our budget.  Bert was the technician plus installer and he was extremely polite, efficient and did a great job cleaning up.

I had a 28-yr-old furnace replaced with a new unit.  I found their initial inspection of the old one to be accurate, the estimate for replacement reasonable, and the installation of the new unit was on time and very professional in every way.  A-1 United Heating and Air had installed the old furnace in 1983.  When my central air conditioning unit needed replacing in 2006 I had this company do the installation and also minor maintenance in 2011.  I have given them all of my heating and air conditioning business and am totally satisfied with their service.  They are very prompt when keeping an appointment and very polite and professional with their work.  I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs heating/ac service.

We get a service contract with A-1 every year for our furnace and A/C.  They are always prompt, professional and fast.  I have never had to call them for a service call as they repair parts that are going bad when they see it for the yearly tune-up.  When I pay for both services in the fall, they always remind me in the spring that it is time to get my A/C checked out.  They are great!

My experience with them has been good. They always seem to do a good and complete job. They are usually here when they are supposed to be here. It is $178 a year for the contract. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

I received a call as promised a half an hour before they came.  Without having to say anything the service person covered his shoes with paper protectors. Very thorough and explained to me all that was done.
I signed a maintenance agreement because I want them to come and service my AC come Spring.  I also needed a new pad for my humidifier.  This is why my cost was $170.00

My husband worked with them, and he trusts them.  We would use their services again.

We had a fan blade shear off in our A/C compressor unit and called A1 on Saturday to schedule service.  I was told that the part had to be ordered and would not be able to be installed until Monday afternoon.  On Monday I was informed that a technician would arrive between 2pm and 5pm to install the new fan blade.  I waited at home, in temperatures that were now above 90 degrees indoors, from 2pm to 5pm so that I wouldn't miss the technician.  At 5pm I received a call that the technician would be late and would not arrive for another 30-45 minutes.  I asked for a refund of the $85 service call fee since I had to have someone else pick up my daughter from daycare given A1's tardiness even with a three hour window to work with.  Instead, I was offered 10% off of the service given the inconvenience.  There was a misunderstanding on both sides at this point.  I thought the $85 service fee was in addition to any labor costs and asked for the full $85 back.  In reality the $85 service fee covers the first hour of work.  In essence, A1 thought I was asking for all labor costs to be refunded which was not my intention.  

The technician arrived at 5:35pm and finished the work within a half hour.  After the work was completed, I mentioned the "10% off the service" that I was offered by the manager.  The technician told me that he was told to give me 10% off the service fee (only $8.50) instead of 10% off the entire cost of the repairs.  I felt this was not fair given the fact that I had been waiting for over three hours in a house that was 97 degrees indoors when the service was finally completed and had to have someone else pick up my daughter from daycare because A1 wasn't able to arrive during the three hour time period they had provided earlier.  Looking at the bill again now I also notice that there is an error in the technician's math when he calculated the discount and that I was charged an extra dollar...

Overall the price was fair and the work was completed in a professional manner.  I would highly recommend this company if it weren't for the problem with punctuality and the misunderstanding about the discount.   

We were very pleased with the workmanship and also the service workers who came to our home.  They removed the old furnace and air conditioner, loaded them into their truck, and hauled them away.  Any boxes, pipes, cords and other miscellaneous items from our old furnace were removed and the surrounding area cleaned.

The men were clean, friendly and didn't mind my husband looking over their shoulders and asking hundreds of questions. 

I would have no qualms about referring any of our friends to A-1.....in fact, we did, and they were also pleased with the price, service and professionalism of the company.....result...they also bought a new air conditioner and furnace from them.

Four major companies said I could replace the heat exchanger for about $1500 or buy a new furnace for about $1900-$3900. EVERETT (he rescued my furnace in '05 for $65 when several companies said it needed replaced) came and informed me it was still under warranty. He was the only service tech that actually pulled out the blower, inspected the heat exchanger, and looked up the warranty info. Its rivets had popped off. I trust him specifically over other techs.
