We had ordered doors two times. The first time we were going to only do the bedroom doors, 2 hall closets, and the bathroom door. When we had them installed the closet doors looked really bad next to the new ones. We went in and ordered all the closet doors. This time the installation didn't go very well. We had the same installer as the first time. I didn't complain about all the times he was late on the first installation. At the beginning he switched days he was going to arrive. Then when he started installing the 1st set it took longer than expected. He was even a no call no show on one day. I figured it would be over soon. Didn't make a fuss. On the 2nd time he said that the doors where not the right measurements. He was the one that measured them. At one point he even told Home Depot that we wanted french doors. We never said that. I have repeatedly had to tell Home Depot that. Home Depot doesn't listen very well. When he came back to install them he left early. He left all the bifold doors in the bedroom. He told us that we were going to have to special order them. We had to carry all of them to the entrance way. I figured they would not be there long. WRONG!!! The doors have sat there since the beginning of Dec. They were in the way for Christmas. After speaking to Home Depot we thought they were ordered. We waited weeks. This was in Dec 2013. We only knew that they were never ordered because Mike from Home Depot ran into my husband and asked him about our doors. That's when he said they weren't ordered. I am soooo discusted that I could scream. I thought with this being the contractor's fault Home Depot would take responsibility. NOPE. We went into Home Depot today and talked to Mike. Then Ted the manager came over. He only offered us a lousy $200. He finally raised the amount, but only to $250. What a slap in the face. I guess they are not going to do the right thing. I have other projects that I need done. I cant see using them again. With all the things that have gone wrong. 1. Installer constantly late or missing. 2. My husband being asked to tear out all the doors and casing which we paid to have done. 3. Loosing work over this 4. Closet doors being measured wrong 5. Gaps above two of my closets that the installer left and didn't even tell us about. 6. Home Depot not making this right by just ordering the doors.
Description of Work: They were suppose to install 3 closets with bifold doors. 2 regular closets with normal doors like going into the bedroom.
