Cooling & Heating Unlimited, Inc.
About us
Cooling & Heating Unlimited, Inc. is a full service union heating, air conditioning and plumbing company that has been in business since June 1985. We are a smaller sized shop made up by everyday people. We work well with one another and work just as well with our customers. We bill out our service jobs on a "time & material" basis. Just as most shops, we have a (1) hour minimum charge but do not associate any other surprising fees to your final bill. (No trip charge, same day service, fuel surcharge, etc...) We provide free project estimates and can work on just about every make and model. As far as fun facts: we have two sets of father/son teams, an extremely tall estimator, the best geothermal service technicians around town, and a fun exciting secretary who changes her hair on a quarterly basis; just as you should change your furnace filter.

The secretary then called me and let me know there would be a delay since their technician was just finishing up another job. No problem. The technician then arrived and he was the most professional a person could ever ask for. I thought this was too could to be true. He looked over the unit and said I will check everything out and see what we can find. He did so and had it repaired in a very short amount of time. Oops it did not work after he left. I called them back and within about 1 hour the technician came back and apologized and fix it right and it worked great every since.
The price was very reasonable and to the point of being cheap but the quality was exceptional. The moral here is that not everyone is perfect but they fix their mistakes right away and with no arguments. They are number one.
"Cooling & Heating Unlimited Inc was called by a third party to subcontract the plumbing work on this project. Plumbing work started two days after the initial call and no estimate or quote was ever given by Cooling & Heating Unlimited to either the third party or homeowner. Work scope included disconnecting & removing the existing kitchen sink, faucet and attached (under cabinet) water heater and installation of owner supplied fixtures. In Addition to installing the owner’s pull-down touch power faucet, we were required to drill a hole through the new granite countertop. Personnel will always ask if they are to remove and dispose of old equipment and will do so unless instructed to leave it on site. The sole purpose of removing old equipment or fixtures is to alleviate the burden of disposal for the owner. In this case the fixtures were removed and disposed of. Homeowner called at a later date requesting the fixtures to be returned, however at that time the water heater and faucet had already been picked up and discarded. The sink was still on site and was able to be taken back to the homeowner’s premises. Under no circumstances would this company ever sell or use items taken from any other job. This project was billed to and paid by the third party who hired Cooling & Heating Unlimited as a subcontractor. We do not know how the third party billed this project but we do know that what the owners are attributing to the plumbing portion ($700) is substantially higher than what was billed to the third party. In response to “(in addition to other work done a year prior – same bad experience).” Cooling & Heating Unlimited replaced a zone valve in a geo thermal heat pump system. Owner called to inquire about a zone valve that was not working. Owner was informed that the valve was still under warranty; however they would be charged labor to replace it. They were informed that typically it takes about an hour to replace the valve. The job took 1-1/2 hours to complete. The homeowner objected to the bill and it was reduced down to a one hour service charge."
