It was not listed on Angie's List. I have been using them for a couple of years and they are good, but they are a little pricier than I thought they should be. About a month ago I had a plugged condenser line and the guy was out here in about 45 minutes. It was on a Saturday, which I thought was pretty unusual. That kind of service was good, but they always charge you. They are here for about 15 to 20 minutes and it's $95. I am switching to another company.

I own a boutique salon/spa on Wrightsville Beach. The last thing I would want to do is hurt someones business from a faulty review. I have had it happen to me and would not say anything that was not accurate due to emotion. Having said that, I am compelled to write this review so that other people do not have the service I experienced. The first visit was great. I wish I knew the service providers name but it was so quick, he was in and out. The second visit was odd at best. The tech named Chris came out and mumbled something about a drain being clogged, said he would check it out and then was gone . When he came back in, he said it was fixed and left. I received an invoice with a sent date ofJune 24th right before i left on vacation. When I came back from my two week vacation ,  the air went out again. My first call was at 9am. I let them know it was 84degrees in the salon,we have to use hair dryers for our hair color and I had a full double booked schedule of clients until 8pm that night. I asked in the nicest way if "there was any way they could help us out". I also said, if you cant, I understand and will call someone else. She assured me she would get back to me. After an hour had passed, and I had my assistant call back to check on things. The lady assured us that her technician was on his first call and he would see us next. She said it would be no longer than an hour. I was relieved that I possibly would be able to keep my clients happy until they could get to us . Then if they said it was something major, I would at least have something to tell my clients about when we could reschedule. I was busy giving my client ice water and wrapping an ice pack for my nail tech who was doing nails to put on her neck from the heat. Over an hour went by and then I asked if Molly would call and check on the technician and see if he was on his way. Molly's calls were then pushed directly into voicemail from that point on. Over four hours went by. Each hour that passed, we had to call two clients and cancel. The way the salon is booked, we have two clients come every thirty minute increments so we always have something in the works. It is now well after 1pm. Its 89 degree's inside the spa and we have not eaten at all. So I tell Molly to call and leave them a message and let them know we are going to go eat some lunch and sit in the air conditioning. She is again pushed directly into voicemail and leaves the message. Less than one minute later, the lady at the front desk at Batt's calls back, claiming" He is crossing the drawbridge now". So we wait. Another hour goes by. Chris finally shows up, we are very nice to him and ask him how his day is going. He says "Great, just ate lunch". He starts working on the air conditioner and seems irritated. We just assume he is having a bad day. I realize that the air conditioner is now blowing out heat so I assumed I should probably turn it off? I was going to let the tech know when he came back inside. He comes flying in the door and demands" DID YOU TURN THE AIR OFF OR DID IT TURN ITSELF OFF?" I said I did and was going to ask him about it when he came back in. He went into this rambling speach about how I could have cost him his life,I should have never done that,he could have had serious issues because of it". I apologized and said I really didn't mean to do anything wrong and I wouldn't touch it again. He angrily goes back out the door and when he comes back in starts the same demeaning speach all over again without any prompting. He stands in my personal space and says" He is going to need payment today". He also stated that it was "going to be expensive". I told him that he could invoice me,I would have my boyfriend look over the charges and then write him a check. He said "I really need you to pay today." I said "I dont feel comfortable doing that." He then demanded "at least my signature to guarantee payment."  which I readily agreed to give him. Having had his company come out three times in one month was a bit of a red flag, the fact that they invoiced me through the mail on the visits before and the fact that he was so unprofessional gave me a weird gut feeling. My boyfriend is a contractor so I knew it would be a simple way to check things out before payment. He then left. That was yesterday. This morning Molly text me(its my day off) and said they have now called her three times. She comes in at 9am and this was all before 10:30. They first asked who recommended them to us in a hateful tone. Then they called back and wanted to know why we didnt pay their technician yesterday. Then the owner Larry called spoke to Molly, berating her and asking her when we planned to pay them. Molly is a sweet, New Hampshire girl who is kind, innocent and twenty two years of age. She was hired over two months ago and I get the highest compliments about how professional and sweet she is. If you can be mean to Molly, thats saying something. Here is the worst part of all of this: My boyfriend, who is the reason I even used Batt's -hired them four years back to a huge project on his horse farm and his waterfront residence . They don't realize this at the moment but when he calls them today, Im am guessing they may have a different feeling about things.  This is my second salon and I have been in business over 20years. I am 42years old and did not get here by paying my bills late or scamming people. I try to use common sense and also a business mind when dealing with people. I hope that Batt's understands that in a salon/spa atmosphere, there are many opportunities to make or break referrals when it comes to business.
