We were extremely pleased it was a difficult area to place gutters and he did an excellent job. He was very eager to please and wanted to make sure we were satisfied.

I left a message for this company on 7/22/2013 with all my contact information requesting a call back to schedule an estimate for some gutter repair and never received a call.

i went fantastic. this was the secong time using johnny king. after the first gutters going up, we decided we needed some much needed water diversion above the garage and porch. the guys came out with johnny supervising at about 8 am and the job was done by 9 am. it wasn't a big job but they were as professional as aif it were. the new 8 ft gutter and downspout above garage look beautiful and we no longer have a drainage issue there.  great job again.

my husband and i moved into a very old home that had a terrible drainage problem and mold which was remediated by the seller before we moved in. i desperately needed gutters and fast. johnny king came out the same day i called and had them up in3 days time. they did a very fantastic job. they were professional, fast and the job was done. in fact it turns out i need more and they will

Overall it was fine. The pros outweigh the cons quite a bit.
Pros: Friendly workers. Very reasonable price relative to other quotes.Did not try to push gutter guards on me (I wasn't ready to spend that much money). One company (Alum Co of NC) I got a quote on melodramatically declared that if I didn't get gutter guards, I might as well not get new gutters. Silly. So Johnny King didn't make mountains out of molehills. I was glad he gave me an estimate on replacing the rotten wood in the soffit beforehand. His carpenter was good, and friendly. He answered all my questions and encouraged me to keep asking until I was satisfied. It was a bit odd to me that nobody mentioned the issue of how to aim the water away from the house. I brought that up after the installation. But, since I didn't have underground drainage pipes, the solution was to put those accordion-type extenders to aim the water away (in the places where the house did not already have concrete "ramps" to aim the water. They also re-positioned the concrete "ramps" under some of the gutters so that they would really catch the water. They weren't positioned correctly before. So when I had an issue, they dealt with it. Johnny works closely with Ed Shook Roofing, who installed my roof a few days earlier. There was a small exhaust pipe that was off-kilter after the roof installation. Since Ed had gone out of town, Johnny communicated with Ed about the pipe, and Johnny fixed it. So, you really don't need one company to do both roof and gutters. These guys coordinated with each other effectively. One slight bit of dissatisfaction I had was that after I called Johnny to say yes, I want you to do my gutters, I didn't hear from him for a few days. He was communicating with Ed Shook, the roofer, but not with me. But overall, that wasn't a big deal. One good thing at the end was that Johnny showed me crawl space vents that I might want to get later. The vents open and close on their own for winter and summer. They are triggered by a temperature sensor. I had to see this to believe it, so Johnny let me put the vent in my refridgerator to watch it close up on it's own (if you try this, you have to put the vent in the same position it will be installed in). Then we put it out in the sun, and when it warmed up a bit, it opened. I was glad he let me check this out. I'll probably get those vents at some point. I recommend Johnny. Trust his judgement, don't over-think, and get it done.

The owner Johnny was very pleasant to deal with. He took time to explain options etc...Scheduling was easy also, and they install on Saturdays too.
Two installers arrived mid Saturday morning, they were professional and well spoken. Gutters and downspouts were quickly installed, all debris was removed. Very impressive work! They were also careful with garden beds in front of house, only one or two small plants were slightly disturbed (which is far less than when I do work). Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this company, work was excellent and price was fair. What more can you ask for.

Very pleasant experience.  Two years ago D & J Seamless Gutters replaced my garage gutters.  The two-man crew was great, so I phoned Johnnie King to help with my problem on the house. Being in the  neighborhood for another job, Johnnie decided to do my house too.  It was done the next day after the estimate.  How's that for scheduling?  My flowers survived because the workmen were very conscientious of them.  The new gutters and guards went up with precision much faster than I anticipated.  Gosh, it's good not to have stress, isn't it?   Cleanup was great; can't tell they were here.

Service was prompt and professional.
The only complaint I had is that the replacement gutters came in white and the original gutter was dark gray and the result was the one coat of dark gray paint didn't cover completely. The new gutters seemed to have a gloss or semi-gloss finish so the one coat they painted on didn't cover 100% and a few white streaks show through.

D&J were prompt and professional, and got the job done a day after we accepted their quote.

I contacted this company and they never called us back to set an appointment.

Submitted request for a quote on their website on Thursday and got a call back on Saturday saying they would be in the area in about 45 minutes and would like to stop by and give me a quote. Showed up about an hour later and gave me a quote on the spot. I had already gotten a few other quotes so I agreed right then to have them do the work. Johnny said his guys would come by sometime next week and replace the section of gutter and install new PVC fascia boards as needed.Later that week I got a call from Johnny saying the work was done and to leave a check for him.
While I realize most people are fine with them just showing up and doing the work since it's outside, I would have liked to been notified first that they were coming out as I would have liked to inspected ther area more when the gutters were removed. Now I can only assume that there is no damage to the sheathing and soffit, that is why I have rated them as only a "C" on professionalism. If I used them again, I would specify that I wanted to be there when the work was done.
The "B" rating on quality is because I think they used too much caulk when sealing the connection to the downspout and this will leave  1/2" standing water in the gutter.

I had had 3 other gutter companies come out to help me with cleaning over our two years living in this "new" house. I complained to all of them about my sagging gutters. They told me that the gutters weren't sagging, merely clogged. I was advised to save my money on covers and be prepared to clean gutters 3 or 4 times a year, based on the trees around my house. Considering that I saw water pouring over the middle of the gutters when it rained, I knew the leaves were an issue, but not as much as the sagging gutters. I took one company's advice and got the extreme (larger) downspouts like I'd added at our previous house. When that didn't solve our issues, I looked for a gutter cover. I used the prior companies lack of knowledge to knock them out of consideration for gutter replacement. Lucky for me, that's when I found D&J.
When Johnny King came out, he pointed out the sagging gutters and a few other problems. He suggested Gutter Rx as our covers, noting its superiority in effectiveness for most of his customers as well as its lower price, but the choice was mine from his multiple options.
I went with his recommendation and the next day his crew got started. In one day, they fixed ALL the problems with my gutters, put on the covers and cleaned up like they'd never been there. My gutters have worked beautifully ever since.  In fact, the gutters move water down and out so well now that I need to reroute the irrigation from the downspouts.
Overall, gutters by D&J were the best money I've ever spent on a house "splurge". If you give Mr. King the chance to come out to give you a free estimate, you won't go wrong. He and his crew are honest, hardworking, professionals whose expertise and goodnature customer service won't steer you wrong

I called D&J Seamless Gutters after finding them on Angie's List.  Others have had great experiences with them.  Johnnie King called me and told me when he could come over to provide an estimate.  He came over when he said he would a few days later, walked with me around my house, gave me his opinion, promised they would do a good job and not do any work that didn't need to be done, and then provided an estimate.  He also educated me on proper care of my gutters, saying they ought to be sealed roughly ever 5 years.  I don't think my house had ever had that done - I'm the 3rd owner and it was built 13 years ago.  He showed me that they're insured and have been recognized by Angie's List in the past for their excellence.  I agreed to go with them, and he said his guys would be over the first of the week.  That's exactly when they came, they performed all the work as promised and only replaced the wood on 2 of the corners - the others didn't need it, as I suspected.  They left everything clean and looking good.  It rained today, and my gutters are not leaking.  I feel terrific about the entire experience.

Johnny King came out the same day we called to have him evaluate our gutters.  He correctly diagnosed our problem and quoted what it would take to cure our issues.  Once we decided to move forward, Johnny's crew came right out and started.  The crew worked quickly and efficiently to install new gutters, leaf guards, and correct a problem left by our builder.  Afterwards, they thoroughly cleaned up and we couldn't tell they had been there.  We felt secure in having D&J do this work and would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

See above.  I expected three days, not one.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Johnny was a pleasure to work with.  He spent a lot of time walking around my house and trouble shooting some of the problems I had been having with drainage.  He was great at breaking down the items that I needed to do versus what would be nice to do immediately, and what could wait.  I appreciated his candor.  In terms of timing, Johnny came out the same day I called him and had a written estimate to me the next day.  We scheduled a convenient time the following week for the work to be done. Everything was finished in a day and the crew properly cleaned/disposed of all materials.  He did everything within the estimate he had provided and even through in some extra work at no additional cost; they replaced some of the boards behind the rotted fascia that were also damaged.  I could not have been happier with the work and I will use him again to finish putting the leaf guard on my gutters.

We called him on Dec 27th, he provided a quote on the spot and was very competitive. We had another quote for $3500 for gutters alone, but Johnnie came in at $3900 for 6" gutters and Gutter RX covers inclusive. This included a 10% discount for us as Angie's List users.
We felt good about agreeing the deal and he even offered to clean the gutters of our current residence for free!
Johhnie called us on 28th December saying he had had a cancellation and could his team come to do our work on December 29th. They showed up on time as about 9.15 am and installed 6" continuous gutters and RX covers on the entire house by 3.15 pm! They tailored the down spouts to fit in with the buried water pipes and paid attention to aesthetics and symmetry as well.
The team worked carefully and methodically, like a well-oiled machine. They were a friendly and likeable bunch of guys, with good manners and there was a great buzz about them and much laughter as they worked. A pleasure to be around. They used ladders with care so as not to damage paintwork.
They then packed up, leaving everything tidy and clean and proceeded to clean the gutters at the other property. They discovered some rot in the boarding behindm the gutters, which Johnnie will quote for repair shortly.
We couldnt be more pleased with the result and the service. D&J has to be the best around. Absolutely outstanding service, value for money and quality of work.

The crew came out on the day and time as disucssed and finished on time.

Overall, the job progressed smoothly and efficiently, including the unanticipated repairs. The owner of the business arrived promptly when I first asked for a quote and he explained my options and costs thoroughly before giving me the quote. When the actual work began, they removed our existing gutters as a first step which uncovered the hidden damage. At that point, we discussed the cost impact and I was pleased that they only added the cost of the repair materials to the initial quote. I thought it was fair. After getting my approval, the repairs were made and the job completed in less than two days.
